He didn’t qualify for the dare for a few reasons.
1. He wasn’t a guardian when he killed Cayde.
2. He’s a new guardian. New guardian means inexperienced, and unqualified.
3. He doesn’t remember his past life. He’s a clean slate. He’s technically not even Uldren.

This discussion has been had already with better overall points. 1. Cayde's Will states crystal clear, in the mission, that the person... not just hunter... who kills him gets everything. This is done to also discourage having more responsibility like he was constantly joking about. 2. He's the hunter mentor. aka, paperwork guy. He's not going to be vanguard leader. And since he is just there for essential show? He can do the role. As for his inexperience? This post assumes he was named hunter vanguard for both volunteering and showing somehow he could be trusted and in that regard? What would you have to say to him. Go on. Let it go... unless you also want to go build a snowman. /sorry, not sorry 3. Oh, he's going to be retold... a lot of times I'm sure... with intimate detail... and probably more then a few completely random stray bullets... at least people will get the shooting range they always wanted in the Tower... and it's going to be a moving target on top of that... that's a positive...
