I often find myself fighting aim assist more than recoil just to keep on target. There should be an option to disable or at least lower it's intensity considerably.

It’s horrendous doing the tank PE. If the tank fills the screen you literally can’t look anywhere else. Aim assist. More like aim black hole, amirite?
-
please this.
-
Yep. I’ve posted about this before as have many others. Should be an option to switch it on or off.
-
Proof that the Bungle crowd does not play the game. It’s the worst of any shooter I’ve ever played. Cost a Gambit match because it wouldn’t let me aim at the Prime Evil. Bungle designed it this way. It’s no accident that cabal jump in front of the boss to yank your weapon away. They know that we hate it and just don’t care.

6 RepliesThis is the one thing making me mad when playing PVP Dying to a better player? No problem, maybe I learned even something. Dying from Supers? That is what they are for. Dying while shooting at a Player with my beloved Scout, having him basically down - and the getting my gun moved to the Dude just stepping into the picture while the initial target has a hair of health left? Not cool, this would have been a double
-
Nooo it's not like I actually wanted to kill that hunter at one health I OBVIOUSLY wanted to track the warlock moving 50mph across my screen
-
I've been able to make it work in my favor mostly.
-
10 RepliesWould love this. Itd show all you guys just how bad your aim really is. Aim assist is the only reason most of you even land shots...
-
1 ReplyYou mean to tell me, that you don’t enjoy having a guardian one shot away from death, and he gets saved by his boy casually walking by and dragging your reticle with him. Man that is some of my favorite shit.
-
2 RepliesThe division had the disable aim assist option. It was so helpful with sniper builds to disable it.
-
My favorite is to go into Trostland and do the Lost Sector on the left side of the map. When you come out into the broken down building area of the map, to your right will be a Vandal in a smashed out room on the second story and a bunch of other bros will begin to spawn in. There is an explosive barrel in the right corner of that room. In theory you should be able to pop that barrel and kill ALL them motherfudgesters. In theory. I try every time, never pulled it off.
-
Been saying this since launch. It was bad in D1 as well. Bungie needs to address this and soften it as well as the ability to turn it off.
-
Can't believe there is no way to turn it off.
-
The worst is in PvE when you're charging a sleeper shot on a boss and a damn thrall runs in your sights and all of a sudden you're fighting a 600lb tuna to try to stay on target and end of firing off into space. Nothing worse than guns with strong aim assists.
-
4 RepliesThis is especially annoying in gambit when an invader is sorta behind a bunch of adds. It's impossible to actually aim at him.
-
Wish we had the option to turn it off. So that way at least it was my decision and I'll play alot better. Cant count how many times I'm aiming at a boss, and a thrall or small ad runs by and my guns reticle moves away and miss shots.
-
I wish there was an option on console to turn it off
-
Id love a aim assist off option. Pve and pvp both are just super annoying coz of it
-
So many times do I miss my shot on a stationary explosive object.
-
Thank god I’m not the only person sick of the aim assist. The amount of times I’ve whiffed a bow headshot because it started getting pulled by another enemy is beyond count.
-
Sometimes I will be running by and it turns the screen for me to aim at an enemy, all I want to do is run by.
-
Combine this with weapons which require you to not aim at an enemy, like grenade launchers, or simply aiming for non-enemy objectives (projector things on Fallen Glimmer Public Event), or environmental destructibles (barrels), and you're in for one frustrating experience...
-
OMG I feel this way so much. It's the most frustrating thing ever when you get magnificent howl to proc and someone randomly fly's across the screen. Doesn't matter if they are behind or in front of the target you are actually shooting at. And then boom aim assist drags you across the screen missing your shot loosing the perk and the gunfight. Or when a group hold each other's ass and Everytime one moves you auto aim to them...
-
After reading this post I noticed this way more
-
6 RepliesYea that guy that runs through your sights pulls your aim and gets you killed sometimes, but I would love to see all the "really good" console players who think they would be better without ANY aim assist actually play the game without aim assist with a controller. They would be in a rage induced stupor, but it would be funny to watch.
-
Yeah I could do without it.
