Duplicate Exotic Drop Protection for the love of EVERYTHING GOOD - BUNGIE! UpVote this, PLEASE!
Seriously how many times do I have to suffer the loss of time regarding this ridiculous exotic drop rate that renders time and time again a duplicate drop. Ever since the inception of forsaken the drop rates have gotten scarce and far and in between. As a top tier hard core player with over 1.8k hours into this amazing game, I finding myself with little to no desire to pursue exotics anymore. I HAVE PRACTICALLY GIVEN UP, BUNGIE! Do SOMETHING FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR PLAYERS!

I have left a bitter taste in my mouth because I have a love for this game, and for me to state a problem, without a solution, leaves the player base hanging... so here are my recommendations to the above-mentioned issue.
Possible solutions
1. Remove the weighted system and create a secure 100% non-duplicate drop system for all players.
2. Leaving the system the way it is, but giving Xur more functionality and more use, by including year 1 and year 2 non-duplicate system into the exotic pool. Which includes weapons and armor.
3. The weighted system is removed, but only include Xur as a single source of non-duplication exotic engrams, leaving the price at 100 shards, per week, once per character.
I am going to keep posting as I have received 2 more exotics while playing on my warlock character, and you guessed it, year 1 duplicates
More duplicate drops and nothing new for any of my characters this week

I've now gotten 11 duplicate exotics on my hunter since 6th Coyote became the last one I needed. Between that and the insanely boring forges I'm gonna tone down my gameplay. I will never give Bungie another dime.

2 RepliesEdited by xcutioner_0: 12/17/2018 9:21:33 PMI don't know about you, but exotics have dropping like flies for me in the past 3 weeks. I'm only missing a few bits of Forsaken armor. Probably to do with power level, I been noticing anybody above 600 or so has low chances while I'm at 584 and getting plenty of drops and prime engrams. I guess they're giving solo players a chance to catch-up with the rest since Black Armory raised the power cap.

Since I posted this, received 2 duplicates on my titan. Thanks for confirming exactly why I am done with trying anymore... you just lost a player, until this -blam!-ing BS is fixed on a scale of 100% protection.

I was in the warden strike, a golden engram pop out of the chest, I was so excited! I pick it up, it turns out it was an exotic sparrow, in which I already had six duplicate sparrows already. That excitement drop as fast as my rag body did when I jump off the empty space.

5 RepliesI have all the weapons and armor on my hunter and 3 armor pieces on my titan. Im talking about forsaken exotics. The drop rate deffinetly improved since they changed it. You just got to keep in mind that it is rng and everyones opinion on it will be different.

And for the 1st week after that update it felt good. But the last month has been bad. The last 10 exotics I've gotten have all been duplicates. If you have low drop rates there needs to be smart loot, with duplicate protection.

I honestly feel that patch to fix the duplication issue, or to reduce it, did absolutely nothing at all. Iv gotten so many dupes and its so discouraging when the only thing I am grinding for, other then light level, is new exotics.. With how low drop rates are for exotics, there should be little to no duplications. I do not care about there excuse for random rolls on old armor, especially since Xur sells year one armor with random rolls on it. They could also return glass needles so you can re-roll your armor. But for Fs sake, get rid of duplicates!

PLEASE! I've gotten 8 duplicates in a row. 8! And only 2 of those were armor pieces! I thought Bungo was going to favor armor for the random rolls, but only 2 out of 8 armor pieces doesn't sound like its working. Colony, Riskrunner, Darci, Graviton Lance, Karnstein Armletts, Eye of Another World, Sweet Business, and last night Vigalence Wing. How is this fixed? The RNG drops were soppose to not only take into account what you don't have, but Bungo stated that the drops would favor armor over weapons due to random rolls. I'm still missing 2 Forsaken exotic armor pieces and we are already well into the new season. Wtf Bungo? You only get rewarded in this game for being lucky? Same with RNG being a part of earning titles. Total bs. I've never played any other game my whole life that relied on luck to earn something. Bungo wants people to play more, but if people aren't rewarded for their hard work they're just going to leave.

One thing that has me pissed though is that I don’t have a wave splitter. It’s an exclusive, so at this point shouldn’t I have one?

Still pissed that 1k voices locked behind RNG, still have not received it

I do not understand what the patch even did. i know it said you can still get dupes but since the patch i have got 4 exotic weapons. First i got 2 vigilance wing on 3 hours now i have got 2 merciless in 4 hrs both were well under my power level AND I HAD 1 ON ME WTFFFFFFFFF. i do not have the Cerberus+1 or the trinity ghoul but hey why should i get them right bungie. my my 41 days+ of play time is not enough maybe i should grind more. God i hope anthem does not suck.
