I feel sad for pc players. They never got to experience the terrible yet great game that is Destiny . I'm telling you it was something else...too bad it's gone now. I'll give you a short run down of the story. Vanilla: We wake up in old Russia near a big wall. After receiving a khvostov and a shotgun or sniper, we punch our way through the fallen and leave on a ship we found right before a kell appeared. We make it into the city and it turns out that we need a warp drive. So we go to the kell that we saw come out of the wall and kill it to get the warp drive. With the warp drive we're able to travel around the solar system. One thing we could travel to is the moon, where the hive reside. crota; a hive god and son to oryx, resides there. (both of these are important) After opening a door to a hive temple we meet the stranger, a mysterious exo that has a sick looking cloak that you can't get. She tell you to meet her on venus, so you go to venus. After beating the vex and fallen you meet her and thus the famous line "I don't even have time to explain why I don't have time to explain" came from. She tells you about the black garden and that the only way to heal the traveler is to kill the heart of the black garden. So you go to the reef and meet Mara and uldren. Uldren tells you to piss off but mara was like "we can use them for later" so uldren was like "we'll make you a key if you can get us the eye of a gate lord that is" So you go to Venus and kill an oversize Minotaur and you bring it to him. he cuts the head open and pulls it out it's eyes but it was broken so he was like "shame" but mara was like, "ey, don't worry man we got you. I rub your back you rub ours later." we got the key and headed towards mars to charge our vex eye I think, plus the door to the black garden is there. We also meet cabals btw. We got the gate open and defeated the big glop of "darkness" and it's reanimated Minotaur and celebrated because we won. The Dark Below: You meet a hunter named eris. she has 3 eyes and was thought to be dead. Eris belonged to a raid group that tried to kill crota. Eris was trapped in the hell mouth (a hive place) and with the help of toland's notebook she was able to survive for years in the hell mouth. eris tells you to go kill the crystal containing crota's soul so you go around defeating crota's henchmen for some reason (I forgot) You eventually defeat the campaign but that wasn't the end. The true ending is in the raid. You kill the actual crota. Powerful hive like crota don't die unless you kill them in the normal realm and the ascendant realm. (I think) That's the end of the Dark below. House of wolves: SKOLAS, THE DEFILED!!! Was set free and is now wreaking havoc for the reef and queen has asked you to help. You meet petra venj and she tells you to go find SKOLAS!!! Skolas plans on overthrowing the queen and becoming the "Kell of kell" he raided the first raid for weapons. You chase him around some more then you find out he was doing weird vex thing. After a few vex jumping puzzles you defeat him and the queen takes him back to the prison of elders. THE TAKEN KING: Oryx, corta's dad, has come to get his revenge. He demolishes the reef and started to "taken" enemies from all over. We get sent to phobos because cabals were blasting their signal and stuff. We find out that oryx was taking the cabals and we leave via ship.after this event the vanguard is arguing about what to do but then eris throws her rock on cayde's map and tells them that oryx is bad and stuff. Cayde leaves and tells you, secretly, to get one of his old stealth drive so we can smash out the dreadnaught's defense systems and set up a landing area. We climb a tower and Amanda installs the stealth drive on eris' ship. We go near the dreadnaught but the stealth drive fails and we almost die but we made it on board in time. After we set up the landing area and knocks out the weapons system We need to find a way to oryx so we go into the cabal ship that slammed their ship into the dreadnaught to see what they know. We find out that there's portals that they used but only Ascendant Hive can go through it. So we go to crota's soul rock and took a piece of it. Crota's esccence is gone from it so we need to go to crota's funeral to steal some essence. We get chased by oryx's weird magic power. We do pretty awesome stealth mission and takes some of crota's essence. we go through the portal and face off against oryx. He dies but leaves his sword which became a quest, and like corta he can only die if he gets killed two time in his world thingy. Rise of Iron: Back in the old days the iron lords found a golden age nano thing called SIVA. They tried to control it but most of them died. So, to stop SIVA from going out jolder locked the replication chamber and blew everyone up except Saladin who was outside of the chamber. Saladin, one of the last iron lord, has requested your help with securing felwinter's peak from Fallen. After encountering Speiks perfected and spliced fallen, Saladin tells you to go to the cosmadrome and follow sepiks and SIVA. You follow sepiks and SIVA to the plague lands; an off limit area. You do stuff here and there and then you go into the replication chamber to stop the fallen from replicating more SIVA. After beating the reanimated SIVA iron lord you blow the chamber up and win. You get an iron lord sword and become a new generation of Iron lord. (D2 forgot this) Honestly I just wanted to see what I remembered from D1.
