I like how bungie told all of us very clearly a long time ago that they removed SBMM, and you guys are pretending like they didn’t say that. This community is hilarious
English

And you clearly forget the copious amounts of times bungie lied over the last 5 yrs ;) I know for a fact, I never see other UK players, ever. But that weekend when it was turned off, full uk lobbies nonstop. 3-4 days later it was back to laggy intercontinental BS.
-
They turned off CBMM, which is what they’ve been using for a while.
-
Edited by Dubufu: 12/3/2018 12:11:06 AMThat's kinda dumb though, to remove something like that
-
They removed it to help decrease lag, which it did. And most of the people on the forums didn’t want it in the game.
-
Most people in the game forums didn't want it
Well, that sure backfired, and I doubt that to be true anyways Also, that's dumb too. Destiny 2 runs on P2P connections. Lag is a given
-
It’s definitely better than D1. And I’m telling the truth. This community begs for one thing, then complains when they get it
-
Well, pvp isnt looking so good right now in general, that's all I'm saying
-
Are you kidding me? It’s so much fun right now! I can actually go off by myself and kill two or three by myself.
-
Edited by Dubufu: 12/3/2018 12:58:33 AM
It's so much fun right now
Heh, many would disagree. Hell, rumor has it that PVP lost most of it's playerbase And, well yeah...you use a precision shotgun (Chaperone) and Luna's howl. I would have fun too if I used crutches like that. Can't argue with the meta eh?
-
And I’m not allowed to use the meta or something? What’s wrong with that?
-
Because its the only way to get kills in PvP. If you're not abusing it, you're losing. No room for fun.
-
Uhh, no I can run different loadouts and have fun. It’s all dependent on the player skill
-
Not anymore.
-
Yes it is.
-
I'm saying that the game caters to the meta a little too much. Crucible feels like the wild west, with shotguns (Dust Rock Blues, Parcel of Stardust, Mindbender's Ambition, Chaperone) and handcannon's. (Luna, Not forgotten, Ace of spades.) It would be nice for other archetypes to be in the running for once with extremely powerful perks, but they keep catering for a very simple meta. Also...I personally don't think any shotgun, should be able to 1 shot at a range where SMG's become viable. SMG's feel use less in that aspect.
-
It’s an exotic, it’s supposed to be unique. And how exactly does the game cater to the meta? How could it NOT cater to the meta?
-
Edited by Dubufu: 12/3/2018 1:53:59 AMThere are other shotguns besides the chaperone that can kill at high ranges dude. Particularly a Mindbender's ambition, precision/slug shotguns, and Dust rock Blues And by incorporating powerful and unique perks to other weapon archytypes that need it. Hand cannons and shotties have gotten a bit too much attention
-
Other then 3 HCs, they haven’t gotten much attention. Chaperone has a LOT more range then those shotguns.
-
Wardens law, trust, dukes are all solid choices too And yeah, IF you get the headshot
-
Yep. which is why it requires more skill then most shotguns. And most other weapons are very viable, but no one wants to leave their comfort zone and experiment
-
Because meta weapons are a whole lot better
-
But there are so many meta weapons. You can’t say it’s just HC and shotguns. What about pulses and Trace rifles?
-
Edited by Dubufu: 12/3/2018 3:32:37 AMPulses are easy to get around with our current maps. Closing the distance is probably the easiest thing, trace rifles take up an exotic slot
-
It’s also super easy to avoid shotguns
-
Not avoid, but counter you mean. Even then, counterplay vs a shotgun is risky, and often does not work unless you have....well another shotgun Backpedaling isn't an excuse. There is a reason why the shotguns being used right now, all have high range
