My suggestion is to buff Redrix so that Desperado activates with 3 precision hits and no Outlaw requirement. This would allow it to compete with Luna's and NF since it would no longer require an initial kill to become a credible threat.
Redrix is a lot easier to obtain that Lunas / NF, so at the very least it would give those HC's viable competition. Thoughts and comments are welcome :)

I agree with you completely. After a burst or something, it activates. I hate the outlaw reload requirement. Especially since Luna’s Howl is an auto activation too.

I say no. Redrix is a niche weapon in a meta archetype. That's cool. It needs to stay that way. Luna should have been like that as well, but instead we've got the most broken handcannon in the game and anyone who has it will use it, especially in comp. Redrix performs really well, it just takes a different approach. So I say no, leave it as is. Get a better roll.

If it's not a HC Bungie really doesn't care about it.
-
... I don't think that is necessary, if they were to buff it i'd like 1 or 2 more points of damage per bullet...
not included in the DLC
The buff that would make redrix a usable weapon and not the 7-8th best pulse in the game is to change it's arch type from 340 to 390. This would immediately make it the best pulse in the game. You do not need to change any other stats.
-
They best option would be to make it do 35 per crit so you can land 5 crits and 1 headshot and kill low resilience guardians, and buff the dam base stability by like 10-15%, it’s a long range gun but landing 3 crits at range with it is dam near impossible

or bump the damage to 34 per crit so it's an absolute two burst to anyone.

Edited by TheDeliriousDoc: 11/29/2018 11:30:13 PMHigh impact pulse rifles aren’t in a great spot right now. At range the 450 and 390 can out shoot them, up close it is too unreliable to get the necessary two headshots and too slow a shot to kill if you miss one of your bursts. Personally I think a reworking of the recoil and range on the 340s is needed. Ideally the slower RoF weapons are meant for more distance. Redrix’s recoil spread even with max recoil reduction is crazy. Make the 340s have minimal if any recoil but poor handling and reload and native ADS speed. That would place them as a long distance pulse and put a premium on perks like snapshot, and outlaw. Then with Redrix the goal would be get the kill at a distance and then rush the rest of the team.

3 RepliesPeople who think every pinnacle weapon should be able to compete with each other just make me sigh

2 RepliesEdited by Erijian: 11/29/2018 10:11:53 PMJust buff all high impact Pulse Rifles instead. They need to kill with 5 crits+1 body to have any chance of being competitive.

1 ReplyYeah no

1 ReplyAt a minimum it needs a base fire rate buff. There’s a reason Crucible is infested with Luna’s but I almost never see Broadsword.
-
1 ReplyEither that or make the base form slightly higher fire rate
