Anyone remember those pulse grenades that could kill whole groups of enemies in the raid? Too many people complained about not being able to stand inside them safely in crucible. Now we gotta throw 2 of them to get any effect.
Remember when sweet business or any auto rifle plus actium war rig could out dps anything else in calus? Yeah Idk why but now the dps of sweet business is so low you gotta ambush everything with it. But hey actium still kinda works.
Remember when alpha lupi made reviving someone incredibly fast? Yeah that was long ago. Now it just gives a small heal and makes a couple orbs. But it used to do a group heal that was pretty nice like 50% health.
Our sentinel used to track with unbelievable precision and now they seem to wanna go off into left field ignoring the intended target unless thrown from close range. But hey when it works it's nice.
And I remember when ward of dawn could produce crazy orbs of light blind enemies and produce overshields or a damage buff all at once with 1 dome. But that's when it was solely a defensive class back in destiny 1. Now who pops a dome? Zavala inside the tutorial.
Sorry for the essay but I had to take a break from getting blade barraged/spectral bladed/ kamehameha'd/ or nova warped to death unmercifully while being basically helpless in the current meta using the tank class to run from the never ending onslaught of certain death.

For the first time all classes are basically on par between abilities supers movement and exotics.

2 RepliesKeyword used to, In terms of looking cool, They look like dogshit right now

I'm a hunter main and have to agree, you titans got shafted with the new supers! 2 things you need to know .... 1) everything was better in d1, not just titans 2) one eyed mask is the dopest looking exotic in the game! Bungie stripped you of your cool abilities and graced you with that helmet. Not an ideal situation but if the mask drops, you can just look at your titan, no need for anything else ;)

2 RepliesI remember when the Bubble provided the amazing benefits that Well of Radiance does now. All the bubble is now is a giant purple dome. RIP Bubble: 2014-2017 Also RIP Sunbreaker: 2015-2017

Hammers used to hit and blow up. If you hit a group of three three people would die. Titans supers are pretty weak now. Unlike flaming blade hunters and the indestructible never ending nova warp.

I'm happy with shoulder charge and shottys Like a drunk chugging listerine I'll take what I can get

6 RepliesTitans are still the best class in the game for PVP you know that right?.... Games and Metas change. Balancing happens because Bungie felt there was a problem. If you can't get over your crutches and do good maybe it's because you were never actually good and had to rely on Metas to much.

2 RepliesThis wasn't an essay. It was a rant born of a victim complex.

6 RepliesEdited by Riv3rMon5ters: 11/29/2018 3:35:21 AMI’d argue that titans still have on average the best pvp supers in the game. Sentinel is probably the second best behind nova warp, hammers was top tier in D1 and still very good now, and fist of havoc is a panic and roaming super in one. Plus y’all have one eyed mask. Not really sure what you guys have to complain about...

1 ReplyAm I the only one who has Sentinel Shield still have crazy aim assist? I throw it and get doubles and triples like nothing when I use it
-
2 RepliesThey didn’t nerf sweet business, it was just good at damaging Calus in vanilla because 1. It would always have ammo, being a primary 2. Coldheart was its only competitor in the primary slot 3. We didn’t have specials back then 4. Sleeper and Whisper didn’t exist

Wait. Spectral blades is ass bruh

Too many people complained about not being able to stand inside them safely in crucible. Now we gotta throw 2 of them to get any effect.

I guess, they're still a decent nade all around, though tbh top tree Sunbreaker's always been better for PvE. The double Pulse grenade tree is extremely overrated in most content anyways, especially in PvP. Infinite Shoulder Charge is potentially a thing on that tree, but unless you're on PC where a technique for Titans called "skating" exists, SC is extremely easy to shut down.

Remember when sweet business or any auto rifle plus actium war rig could out dps anything else in calus? Yeah Idk why but now the dps of sweet business is so low you gotta ambush everything with it. But hey actium still kinda works.

No, I don't, because though it was over a year ago at this point, Coldheart was the best Primary for constant DPS. And unless you're only counting Primaries, Cluster Rockets or Merciless say hi. And War Rig wasn't needed for DPS at all because Rally Barricade existed.

Remember when alpha lupi made reviving someone incredibly fast? Yeah that was long ago. Now it just gives a small heal and makes a couple orbs. But it used to do a group heal that was pretty nice like 50% health.

Revive speed was nice, but really only played a big role in Trials/Elimination. And the other classes no longer have their variants of it unfortunately. Lupi's always made an extra Orb since D1, which is very powerful in PvP, especially now when we have much more Supers around to orb farm. The heal's alright, but I can't remember them changing it ever. If you or someone else could find any patch notes that stated it was changed, that'd be great.

Our sentinel used to track with unbelievable precision and now they seem to wanna go off into left field ignoring the intended target unless thrown from close range. But hey when it works it's nice.

Actually, Sentinel shield tracking has been unchanged, the projectiles travel faster, and made to no longer lose damage after the first ricochet. Here's those patchnotes: https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/47127 As well as a buff to its melees on the ground, which suffered the most.

And I remember when ward of dawn could produce crazy orbs of light blind enemies and produce overshields or a damage buff all at once with 1 dome. But that's when it was solely a defensive class back in destiny 1. Now who pops a dome? Zavala inside the tutorial.

True, Ward's not as strong in the current meta of Supers, but it's actually extremely tanky otherwise. It's arguably the most game-changing Super in modes like Countdown or Survival when popped on the obj. or used to secure Heavy. And it's an easy 2(3 with Lupi) Orbs for your teammates to get their Supers off of. The only common Super that can easily beat it is Blade Barrage, as all the roaming Supers can just be Suppressed. And Golden Gun cannot destroy the bubble for some reason, even with all 6 shots. Nova Bomb and Thundercrash can both beat it as well, though they're much less common obviously.

Sorry for the essay but I had to take a break from getting blade barraged/spectral bladed/ kamehameha'd/ or nova warped to death unmercifully while being basically helpless in the current meta using the tank class to run from the never ending onslaught of certain death.

Instead of Bubble, Sentinel(especially Banner) Shield is a much more effective Super for your team and yourself. It can block Blade Barrage completely(usually only Banner succeeds though), invalidate Spectral Blades completely, as well as other melee Supers to lesser extent, with the shield block. The melee Supers all get parried on "light attacks", while specific ones like Burning Maul and Spectral literally cannot melee you in general, even from behind. So in most cases, *Titan blocks*, *enemy Super staggers and is vulnerable*, *Titan 2-hits enemy Super with air combo*. And for some odd reason, though it may've been fixed based on the wording of the patch notes, Chaos Reach literally doesn't register against Banner Shield specifically. You can fire your whole beam, and there'd be 0 hitmarkers if attacking the shield from the front. Exotics like Ursas or Geomags wouldn't even work. And for Nova Warp, if you or they close the gap, block to survive the attack, and if they stay near you afterwards, it's a simple 2-hit kill from the aerial combo as stated above for other Supers you can close the gap on. Or if there's enough space, a preemptive Shield Throw and the air-bash attack at the end of the combo will also kill any Super.

Yeah Here Comes The Hunter And Warlock Army To Hate On My Rant Of How The Titans Used To Be. Bring on the hate.

No hate, I play all 3 classes(mainly Titan in more recent times though), but I honestly feel like you just aren't very proficient at the game. Which no one can really hate on, it's just a non-serious video game at the end of the day that most rightfully don't put in the time to be better, just have fun. But I think you're just a bit too far on the wrong side of being uninformed based on this post. Titan, mainly Sentinel, is one of the top subclasses for PvP by far due to their amazing Suppressor grenade and extremely versatile Super. Even without the two arguably overpowered Exotics they recently acquired in Forsaken.
Alpha lupi has always sucked and my titan has no problem wrecking PvP op hunters. Sweet Business is not a machine gun (in game) and should not out dps other special/heavy weapons since it's a primary. No problem with nades or sentinel either, gitgud.

2 RepliesI'm just gonna say I've been a warlock main for almost the entirety of destiny 2, and mained hunter specifically for just comp, and titan has been my least played. I recently decided to give my titan a bit more play and I've been absolutely loving it. Sure, maybe they aren't as good as they were back in the days, same could be said for warlocks, but personally titan has been the most fun I've had and is perfect for my kind of play style. I may just have turned myself into a titan main. Now... If only they would quit with all the bulky armor and would make some more slimmer appealing armor lol.

You have a ohk shoulder charge. Stfu

1 ReplyAt least your -blam!-in grenades work. Voidwalker has the worst grenades in the game. People. Literally walk through them at a leisurely pace. Axion bolts you can walk away from And scatter grenades don't do damage half the time and literally bounce off of enemies. The only one that's somewhat reliable is handheld supernova

13 RepliesEdited by Rotary: 11/28/2018 10:48:01 PMYou’re wrong on literally all of that

7 RepliesPvE wise I still think warlock is strongest but the titan is wicked with the right classes and exotics. The new arc super with skullfort is loads of fun. Never been a big hunter fan in pve and only really like blade barrage, think they are great in PvP and probably the best there. Titans are kinda the middle ground which is not a bad place to be.
-
3 RepliesThey butchered the Titan in favor of other classes, Titans can evade in the air? No more. Now is the warlock, Titans can buff the atack and defence? No more. Now is the warlok. Titans s can kill at distance with things ignited on fire? The warlok can do it now and better :/
-
lol sentinel used to be better? please. didnt hit shit in the beta or the first year. remember when people complained about revives shields? yea Crest of alpha lupi now gives you an extra orb of light and more health to you and your allies than wormhusk.

1 ReplyAnd yet they still rule all activities even from d1

1 ReplyRemember back in the day when no one used top tree hammers or hammers at all for dps and titans were considered useless?

Titans use dope.

We are dope, that’s why everyone tries to drag us gown to their level.

1 Replyidk about you but my titan is still dope
