2 RepliesEverything Scatterhorn is terrible. Dreaming City armor is the only stuff worth having.

Looking at new armours from Black Armoury -DLC, at least Hunters are getting some pretty sweet looking equipment. Along with newly added Eververse -outfit. So thanks Bungie, I can finally start working on gathering equipment.

1 ReplyNo it doesn’t.

1 ReplyWhat particular armour set are you talking about? I quite like the Iron Banner armour set. I have it on now, as a matter of fact.

I'm sorry that you disagree.

Armor looks like ass
YOUR armor looks like ass. You fix it. There's so many choices of armor, you can make any character look great. What a bunch of crybabies.

4 RepliesMy titan in d1 looks like a badass murder machine. My titan in d2 just looks like bad, and ass. UNACCEPTABLE.

3 Repliesi only have an issue with the big-ass shoulders titans have... looking like a lego or Kanye smh

My Hunter looks like a hobo 😂

1 ReplyIt's really not the armor, it's the person making the armor to look how they want. You don't have to wear just one full set of like armor. You can have a set of armor from a variety of sets to make your character look better. For example, I still have some Y1 armor pieces on my Titan just because they look cool (Winterhart Helm from the Dawning, Iron Trauge Gauntlets from Y1 Iron Banner, and Hallowfire Heart, Y1 exotic chestplate) and I got some decent looking Y2 armor pieces that look good with those Y1 pieces (Wing Discipline leg armor from Y2 Crucible and Memory of Cayde Mark) all complete with the Rusted Iron shader from Y2 Iron Banner. I like how my Titan looks with that armor. Who cares if the Y1 armor pieces don't have perks like the Y2 ones? At least the Y2 armor has some decent enough perks. My point is, just play around with the armor and shaders, get creative. Maybe then it won't look so much like "ass" as you state.

I think the armor problem (which has been reiterated since the day D2 launched) is not actually in bad design or ideas necessarily, but in the TOOLS they use for D2 in general. People have used terms like chalky, cheap, cartoonish, etc to describe armor sets in D2 from day one. If you look up concept art a lot of the sets look great as a drawn concept, but by the time it gets into the game it looks...bad. It’s just something about the tools, colors, overall aesthetic that seems to permeate D2. Imagine how different a piece of the same art would be if you had the artist use watercolor pencils compared to spray paint or something. D2s lean towards stylized art style just doesn’t work IMO; in fact I think on a subconscious level it degraded the feel of the quality of the content, and made it feel cheap on some unstated level. I will say it seems to be headed in the right direction though! Forsaken; some new armor sets, the scorn, etc all look great.

4 RepliesFor hunter, the best looking is the protocol armour, for the titan I would say dragonfly but the rest are shite and as for that dragonfly helmet for the warlock......what the -blam!- were they thinking!

1 ReplyIronically, some of the best looking armor in the game... is blue. Wish there was a way to legendarize it.

Every dlc I go from looking like something to looking like a bum from the streets

The majority of the armor in D2 makes you look like a hobo, even with shaders applied to them.
-
I have the same problem. My hunter looks like a butt.

Yup, look at mongrel Ogre Grasps from D1. Then the Crota armor at the end of year one. Unless this causes issues with gameplay I would not look down on you guys for porting it over. Some of D2 armor looks good, but not special. When you did have ornaments for the Leviathan raid armor it barely stood out.

2 RepliesWhy did I grinded all my previous gear if it's trash now specially the solstice and it's chromas!? Transmog like in Diablo is needed

2 RepliesEdited by blade329: 11/25/2018 11:38:23 PMWhat? How could you possibly condemn masterpieces like this? It's a work of art. eh, not really. Their armor looks like steaming garbage.
-
2 RepliesThe worst part is even when I get a piece I am willing to settle for on looks, it ends up rolling with side arm or grenade launcher perks rendering it useless functionally. They are so stingy with legendary drops at this point we should just be allowed to reroll perks.

2 RepliesThey will implement dedicated servers before they make good armor designs.
