it would be great for console players to have an FoV slider and change colour of our reticle just like pc players have

5 RepliesConsole can’t even handle console fov. theres no point in being able to play at wider fov, you would just be playing at sub-30 fps all the time.

2 RepliesEdited by GalaxySpider: 11/7/2018 11:28:53 AMConsoles have a limited hardware which can't be upgraded like a PC (not counting the HDD). A higher FOV means more stuff is going on the screen and that can lead to massive performance issues on consoles. FOV sliders on console games are always a question of how well the engine was optmized for that specific hardware. A PC has no limits here and can basically compensate performance issues.

1 ReplyI’m kinda meh on the matter of FOV slider, might turn into an unfair advantage, as for the reticle color I’d like because there are some maps where the red reticle blends in

4 RepliesEdited by FataLVisioN_Oo: 11/7/2018 11:20:14 AMI would much rather be able to change my ads sensitivity from my non ads sensitivity. That should already be a thing... along with 60 fps.... or are we stuck in the 90's? May as well be firing destiny up in dos mode.
-
Colour change on gun right would be a godsend, make it like Call of Duty, some background almost makes your sights disappear.
-
That's a xbox issue even though Microsoft swears the xbox x is as good as a PC smh
-
I am on board with reticle color change, and while I'm here I'll share some of my own views. We should have a radar opacity slider, specifically talking about the dreaming city crucible map. With all that white environment you can't see anyone on the radar until it's bright red and they're on top of you. Also, sensitivity on console. We should have an aim sens and look sens option. Combining them as 1 sens option is so unnecessarily primitive.

Bump!

6 RepliesAnd turn off aim assist......
-
1 Replythen you would have 20 fps :DD peasants
-
6 RepliesConsole almost feels like 70 FOV compared with pc. Way too small. Bump that shizzle up or at least give the option for a boost on Xbox one X and ps4 pro. Then again...console can barely hold 30fps as is...
-
6 Repliesas a PC player I approve. It isnt hard to inplement

11 RepliesLimitations of hardware. That's why you have capped fps and fov.
-
27 RepliesThe game runs at 30 FPS on consoles because consoles don’t have the proper hardware to run at 60 FPS on a somewhat demanding game. The reason why we don’t have an fov slider on most console games is because when you essentially make the game render more well, game, it makes it run slower because now there’s more and more happening on screen, and consoles wouldn’t be able to support a lot of games at even 30 FPS consistently if we were to zoom it out all of the way. Destiny would probably go to like 15 FPS and then have tons of moments where it was dropping frames and slowing down. Yes I’d love an fov slider on console games but the problem is that it wouldn’t work yet, maybe some day we’ll get consoles that have good hardware and can run things like a pc can.
-
FoV changes would be terrible without FPS increase.
-
5 RepliesI agree 1000% FOV is way too close and being colorblind to reds and greens blows for almost every single reticle. The fact that color blind settings don’t change any of that is mind blowing. I have repeatedly mentioned it but they don’t seem to care about it.
-
I just want 60 FPS on my xbone x... it’s almost 2019 are u kidding me 😓
-
21 Replies*looks at 9 man Escalation Protocol/Blind Well* *looks at framerate during Escalation/Blind Well* *looks at proposal to increase the ability to see even more explosions* *imagines how low the fps would be with that, and the burning smell coming from the Xbox* Yeah. No. It'd be great, but the Xbox One simply can't handle it.
-
You would get significant frame drops because fov is powered by cpu.
-
It would make jumping puzzles much easier for me.
-
1 ReplyBattlefield 1 has a fov option. But that uses a relatively powerful engine to do what it does. The game even gives a warning saying there could be a performance impact when adjusting fov. I dont know how d2 would handle it knowing the already present fps drops and long loading times.
-
It would be nice but at the same time bad. Consoles already reaching its limits and adding these features would only make it worse. It's not a pc where it can handle it.
-
3 RepliesTitanfall 2 had an FOV slider and that made 0 difference to frame rate at all
-
2 RepliesThey for some reason do not want to maximize the game of console. But will do everything for pc. Its not limitations that are holding them back, its effort.

I lose the reticle sometimes too. Can we please have more contrasting colors, even one that changes because of the background? Sometimes its dark so youd want a light cross hair and when its bright have a darker one? Thanks
