In three days, Election Day for the US will arrive and hopefully millions of people will be going to the ballots if they haven't already to cast their vote. I'm aware that this place can be divisive and quite a few don't even like the topic of politics, yet I still want to send the message here to just go out and vote. Whether you're a Republican, Democrat, liberal or conservative, Libertarian, you should cast your vote.
To those of you who are not interested because you believe your vote doesn't matter, you're not the only one who thinks that. The majority of Americans don't vote, and I'm sure a good chunk of them also believe that notion. Just think: If everyone believed that their vote didn't matter then no votes would be cast, and nothing would be done.
To those of you who are younger, and not eligible to vote, let these past few years be a lesson that politics are an important part of your life. You can ignore it all if you wish still, but you especially will be affected by the choices being made now. Your elders, people in their sixty's and seventy's and eighty's, they're all voting. They won't see the impact of their votes, you'll be the one living with those choices made.
To those of you who utterly despise politics: You're free to hit the backspace and move on with your life.

1 ReplyI hate it this year. All of a sudden voting is significantly more important than ever because a few celebrities are pissy with something.
-
2 RepliesActually let me add to the OPs topic. INFORM YOURSELF ON THE TOPICS!!! If you dont know any of the candidates or any of the popular issues please dont vote. If you are interested in voting do the right thing first, Educate yourself on the topics then do the same on the candidates. Voting blindly not knowing either is irresponsible. This is why bad candidates get elected, Trump included altho Hillary wasn't any better, thats why I voted 3rd party. I am all for voting but believe an informed voting public is good for the public good. Everyone is telling people to go vote, that everyone should vote, this is WRONG. I do not want people who know nothing about the candidates or the issues to vote. Its bad public policy and results in bad candidates and policies being enacted. I know everyone doesnt have the time to study the issues and candidates but if you truly believe voting is important then taking the time to study should be just as important. So please if you intend to vote do yourself and everyone else a favor, study the issues first then the candidates. Decide which you agree with then go vote.

Of course, in my state we still vote for our judges but on this ballot there is an amendment to change that to being appointed.

1 ReplyI’ll be voting in the next election. I’m 16 so... yeah, kinda sucks
-
I voted early. I made sure I was educated on the candidates and the proposals. That is until I got to the judges... didn’t have a clue about any of them, so I was like,” Yay! You all get to stay!”

I've already completed the early voting. I voted after doing a lot of research and a little bit of emotional motivation. If people are registered to vote, but dont feel like voting because they think their vote doesn't matter, jury duty is something not too many people like, but are forced to do every year as a condition to be registered to vote.

2 RepliesVoted for my first time last weekend

2 RepliesI've already voted couple days ago.

Early voted a few days ago. I agree, no matter your political affiliation, please vote. There are people inhabiting this planet that would love to have that right and there have been folks in the past that died to give it to us.

2 RepliesSorry, not until next year. But I may not even vote then until I've moved out.
-
2 RepliesWhere's the "I voted weeks ago"? Biased poll is biased.

6 RepliesBut what if NO ONE VOTED

1 ReplyCan't vote yet, literally a few months away from 18 :/, now I've gotta wait until 2020.
