After so many games I think it’s close to 800 I can tell you without a shadow of doubt that it’s rigged. There’s no way you smoke a team first round and then loose second and depending on luck of the draw loose or win third. Depending on performance the other team gets more enemies or high enemies with more motes. I’m just giving an opinion has anyone else noticed this?

4 RepliesJust another “i suck at the game but I’m sure there’s something else to blame since there’s no way I can lose” post. Move along.
-
Totally agree.
-
5 RepliesThis is acknowledged by Bungie. The winner of round 1 gets stronger enemies in round 2. The team that spawns their Primeval second gets a faster damage buff. It’s classic “Mario Kart” rubber banding.

7 RepliesEdited by gracklepod: 10/28/2018 1:12:52 PMYup. Rigged catch up mechanic. I play it for the powerful engrams. 2 rounds is my objective. If I win the first round then I play to try winning the second. If I lose the first round, I invade every chance I get then eat popcorn till I'm killed, eat all the heavy ammo that I can, collect motes then jump off a ledge. ...lots of floating as an orb. 2 rounds. Fvck the bungie hamster wheel.

Edited by PolisMassa: 10/29/2018 12:32:05 AMIm also close to third reset, and your right, its definitely rigged to play longer then necessary. I think players should unite and let the team that wins the first round win.

6 RepliesEdited by Roach: 10/28/2018 6:45:06 AMTotally agree, just smoked a team in the first round and in the second we were just mobbed by yellow bar enemies and taking way more damage than the first. I hit an invader in the second round four times with Ace of Spades, at least one was a headshot, and it took down half their shield. Half. While they ran around killing all of us with Sleeper. No wonder they are doing increased infamy, people who play the mode the way its intended are sick of these mechanics and the majority of players who cant bank the motes. Give Blind Well a decent loot pool and I wouldn't touch Gambit ever again. If it wasn't rigged Bungie would have denied it. Giving their track record of getting caught telling Porkies its why they are silent on the issue. Most of the people I know avoid it, or at best do one game to get a powerful reward, and then ignore it. The fact you get a catch up buff at all if you're losing is ridiculous .. penalising a team for playing the game better ?? .. ludicrous. Plus the Drifter gets right on my tits now. His beard looks ridiculous and I am tired of his constantly gobbing off. I hope in Jokers Wild we get to spawn a few Taken Ogres and throw the arrogant twat in there with them while we shout at him about his team being horrible as they rip that face fungus from his head.

3 RepliesEdited by The-Kingbrick: 10/29/2018 1:59:54 AMGet the Primeval faster than the other team. Other team gets infinite amount of invasions Other teams sends Taken by the dozen Other team gets primeval Other team annihilates primeval because they have half of our primeval slayer buff And finally we get an invasion portal when Other Team kills their primeval.

2 RepliesThere is some way of rigging it. I definately see an issue. Yesterday, my team and I had an 8 win streak. Our protocol remained unchanged bank 60 motes at once. We eliminate invaders easily. Fast forward to that ninth match. Take into account the last 4 matches were Cabal back-to-back. Their behavior changed, every match, to be more aggressive. Invaders? Now they're hard to aim at and hit. How does a simple target get so slippery? Some system has to be in place that tells players, "Ok you've won enough matches for today." or, "Aw man you're pretty bad, let me make you the greatest guardian who ever lived for a bit." Why can't players just win or lose entirely by wit? Why does there have to be manipulation, contaminating what should be constant? Remember this is beyond just matchmaking, the weapons opponents use, and what playstyles you're up against. This is raw stifling ones ability to do their best. Bungie wants to build a bunch of dreamers.

Dude it’s guaranteed. No idea why they elected to do this if not to artificially increase game time by forcing 3rd round to happen.
-
Because there’s a “catch up” system in place for the losing team.
-
6 RepliesThis whole game is rigged to get you to waste as much time as possible while rewarding you with minimal exotic drops and good rolls. This shit is getting boring AF.
-
Tbh I’d prefer gambit matches to be just one (perhaps slightly longer) round. This two out of three structure draws it out too much and it starts to feel like a chore. If it weren’t for the decent unique loot pool, I would have stopped playing it a long time ago.

4 RepliesTrying to deposit 10 motes . Fighting two taken ogres guarding the bank . Where are my teammates ? Not sure . I’m one less guardian getting in their way while they gather motes . What’s that I hear , invader on the field ? Well no shit !!! I spread my arms wide like Jesus and welcome the sleeper round as it mushrooms my face . Guardian down 😔

Spawn your Primeval first? Guess what, that "Slayer" buff has a counteracting damage debuff, along with giving the other team free Invasions (and a lot of us can't take increased damage from Envoys, get battered by a Primeval, fight a bunch of ads, AND deal with constant Sleeper-wielding overshielded pricks popping up all over the place while trying to kill the Boss. Win Round 1? You do 50% less damage (and take more incoming damage) in Round 2. Ever notice how sometimes the other team is doing poorly, then suddenly skyrockets in Motes? That's because the game spawns special glowing "catch-up" enemies if they fall behind, and delays enemies spawning on your side. Ever feel like the game is actively preventing you from winning? That's because it is, at every step. It's hard-coded to switch advantages around so often I'm surprised every game doesn't end in a tie - that'd be a great metaphor for Gambit in general. One of the many reasons why I can’t stand this trash mode.
-
2 RepliesThis is another reason why Gambit is a joke. Only “Tryhards” take that shit game mode seriously. I run that garbage for my milestones then I’m out. I don’t even pick up Gambit bounties anymore. Even the one for a “small blocker”. I don’t give a shit about that game mode and I was correct from the moment Bungie introduced it, it was gonna suck ass and my opinion has only been made stronger. I appreciate the “just skill vs skill” you kill your shit we’ll kill our shit with NO modifiers no help no increased or decreased damage buff and see who wins. Unfortunately the participation trophy is still alive and well with Gambit. Your teams blows, here’s some help. 🤦♀️

7 RepliesNo. Losing team almost always has Supers stockpiled from the first round. Both teams get tougher enemies that grant more motes, the losing team will kill theirs quicker because, y'know, LEFTOVER SUPERS. Maybe Bungie should look at wiping Super bars each round.
-
1 ReplyThere is a catch up mechanic when the primeval is summoned on the second round. The opposing team will automatically get a primeval slayer stack (or higher) without killing any wizards, but it will never be higher than the team that summoned first. That’s why the second round is always a toss up if you’re playing with randoms. Bungie explained this in a post on a weekly update or something I can’t remember.
-
My teams keep on getting smoked two times in a row.
-
It's about one team killing the ads faster than the other, which gives them supers faster, they lose the second round most of the time for they've used their super an the opposing team now has theirs, then you get your super back for the third round. you need a good invader to win consistently. we went on a run of 35-2 for we had one, he would get 2-3 kills every go, losing one medium or large blocker is enough to get too far behind. course it's all about melting point, punch him in the dink then ikelos shotty an blade barrage in that order, you'll melt him 3 sec's
-
Without a doubt there’s backend rigging going on . I love the concept of the gamemode but now I have my Mal I’ll never play it again. There’s no reason to subjecting yourself to a gamemode that -blam!-s the outcome .
-
Yep, you’re correct. Gambit is rigged.
-
7 RepliesIm not sure what to make of Gambit.. but the game mode does seem really really bugged.. The adds dont take damage like they should, sometimes they seem far too strong and can one or two shot you from full health. I kind of wonder if its because the pve coding gets confused with the pvp coding of the game mode? Not sure..
-
Soon to reset for the 3rd time myself. And I don't agree with you, there are many reasons for why you can crush someone one round and still loose the game. I solo carry games with complete tards on my team, and as a solo player I rely on the consistent aspects of the game mode.

1 ReplyEdited by IronMaiden: 10/28/2018 6:16:11 PMhad games that were a blast threw had games that were a drag had games were we wrecked had games were i was wrecked had games that were one sided had games were the opposite team some how done the impossible then there's the ai one minute i'm wrecking them just for the next round to come around and i fill weak and the ai just ass -blam!- me but the best thing is i'm 596 and i fill weak in a game mode that say level advantage enabled
-
3 RepliesIt is absolutely rigged, the game mode is set up like that. It's called "the catch-up effect". Happens in pvp as well.
-
Edited by whateverman7: 10/28/2018 10:35:44 PMAfter playing a lot of gambit myself, I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt: it's not rigged like you're saying. The catchup/rubberband effect is annoying, but that only goes into effect after the 2nd team summons a primeval, not before. So, it just sounds like the other team adjusted what they were doing after the first round. I've done it and had it done to me.
