Every dedciated player should have been able to unlock the majority of the Forsaken Exotics by now.
Bungie reduces the drop rate to a all time low and refuse to let Xur the EXOTIC MERCHANT sell any of the new Forsaken exotics.
It astounds me that people are ok with this. Saying asinine things "it makes it exciting" or "it should be rare"
I say NO. It makes it tedious and annoying. I end up having to treat this game like a second job to spend 40+ hours for a chance to unlock content I already paid for. These exotics were front and center in the advertising of this expansion alongside Cayde's death. And in these 2 months after release I've only unlocked 2 new out 6 drops.
Fighting Lion droping in Haunted Forest, Are you serious Bungie?
This is a problem that needs fixing for the majority of us and Bungie needs to respect the time, energy and more importantly THE MONEY we put into this game.

2 RepliesSpeak for yourself! It was lower in vanilla d1 unless you raided. I am a dedicated player, but maybe have 150 hour since forsaken dropped. I have had around 20 exotics drop. Sure only ONE outside of the quests was new, but I’m getting rare but reliable drops. The changes will be welcome to me. Exotics should feel exotic and now they do. We were given them like candy for 3 1/2 years and I think this update will put them in the right place. Hell, with all the bitching I’m betting the drop rate will even be ninja buffed.

Thank you for the response, but I am not sure that solution is consistent with the majority of the playerbase. In my opinion, the drop rate is too low, especially if there is no guarantee it is not going to be a duplicate exotic. There is no reason you should be receiving year 1 exotics from The Last Wish raid, or the Tier 4 Blind Well Heroic, unless you did not receive them in previous years. I have no issues with there being a grind, but there are aspects of Forsaken which are borderline questionable when compared to the return on your investment of time. There are numerous aspects of the game which appear to be in place currently for no other reason than to artificially extend the amount of time spent playing it.

Edited by bandito--24: 10/23/2018 12:56:23 PMI agree. Exotic drop rates are terrible. Other than Ace of Spades, I have not had a new Forsaken exotic drop. Played quite a bit so it is frustrating. Also do exotics drop from crucible? I just completed the Redrix quest grind and did not see one.

2 RepliesSo I got me an exotic last night. It was.... Wings of the ... sacred... dawn... I was as disappointed as you are.

A non issue

Bungie is the real enemy of us. they want us to be their slaves. they think we are ignorants. But the only ignorant here is you bungie, you still bullying your loyal player base. Your game is a succes because of our money, damn scammers, you can put those forsaken exotics up your dictator @ss.

1 ReplyI still havent had the chaperone quest drop for me on any character, its getting really annoying as everyone seems to have it.

It's garbage. Exactly like every single thing Bungie taints. You can feel their anti-consumer attitude and pure hatred towards you.

1 ReplyThere is nothing more satisfying than coming on here, and seeing people who VEHEMENTLY defended this Developer Crying about the developer screwing them over. I'll collect all the salt from these forums and I'll have enough to power the Overwatch Servers lol
-
Here it is bungie rewards shit players and this is to stop them from leaving the game.
-
The answer to this and the lack of a loot pool/rewards is simple
DLC
Not really a spoiler as it's common knowledge the DLC sets offer weapons and Armour sets exclusive to each DLC.
-
5 RepliesAgreed. And fix drop rate for Seed of light. I have 4 out 9 after 6 weeks. How am I to enjoy these new sub classes if I can't get seed of light
-
8 Repliesyou didnt grind for gjallahorn or any exotic you wanted bad in D1 didnt you? i am fine with the drop rate
-
The thing under your spoiler alert.. I got one as my reward for the daily story mission in dreaming city last week.. Amazing. -.- Hopefully they'll alter this come end of month and we'll get more. I would have imagined that drop rates would already be highly favored towards giving you new stuff. I get plenty of Wardcliff Coils and Tractor Cannons though.

2 RepliesThe only exotic weapons worth having are acquired from quests or special missions. Everything else is poooooooop.

8 RepliesThis mindset is why exotics aren’t game changing anymore. Bungie are torn between trying to reestablish them as the unique powerful pieces of equipment they are after the ridiculous drop rate they had at launch and trying to keep whinging people like you happy, the drop rates in destiny 1 meant that they could be the game changers that they’re supposed to be but because people like you can’t cope with not being handed the things you want, and thinking the price of forsaken was for the exotics, now they have to scale them down because they’re over-circulated. I remember my first match getting absolutely drilled by someone with the last word in the first few weeks of D1. Was I mad? Was I -blam!-. I thought the gods of RNG had blessed me for putting me in the same game as this messiah with the magic gun. And when I got my first exotic boy did I bounce off the walls. Was it plan C and did I hate fusion rifles? Yes and yes. Did I use it until I got the icebreaker the next month? Also yes. Wanna know why? Because it actually gave me an edge and to this day was the most gratifying feeling I’ve ever felt in a video game. I’m a casual player and I’m currently getting an exotic every day or two and you think that’s a joke? Try and week or two, if you’re lucky, I wouldn’t be surprised if the drop rate in destiny 2 right now is some 20x that of destiny 1 at launch and I know I’m going on about destiny 1 a lot and that’s because they totally nailed what exotics are supposed to be, you got me ranting and I’ll be surprised if anyone read this far or even agrees with what I’m saying but that’s just how it is, only when we let Bungie put the drop rate of exotics where it needs to be will we start seeing exotics at the calibre of destiny 1 that don’t get nerfed the second they start overstepping the mark into being a game changer

It's RNG and I personally love it. It took me 6+ months to get the Ghorn im D1 and when it dropped it was incredible! Exotics don't feel exotic if they drop like candy. I agree that duplicates should be toned down a bit though.
-
Playing daily and still i haven't got any forsaken exotic yet.I haven't touched raid yet that may have triggered my rng luck but still i don't complain.I believe that beside the nature of the perks that define a weapon as an exotic ,rarity of drop is leveling up the joy of earning that loot. Ofcourse there is a difference between rare drop and no drop at all
-
Im now on 11 this week with 4 new ones. Iv had cerberus, 2 tailed fox, wizzie arms (forget the name) and queens breaker. None were the same in the 11 i had.
-
IDK about this. As a solo player I am having fun playing this game. I started playing forsaken 3 weeks ago and I got 3 exotics since. Year one but I really don't care. I waited 6 months to get my class legendaries in Legion(WoW) to make my dps acceptable. RNG is sucks. I think Bungie need to lower more the drop rate of exotics but in exchange you never get a duplicate. Also higher difficulty content=better chance to get one.

1 ReplyThe thing that makes me most disappointed is that they’re listening to you.

2 RepliesYou must be a hunter

Something like Cool Guys idea with the exotic weekly quest would be the best thing they could do I feel. I've been playing forsaken almost non-stop since its launch and I still haven't seen a new exotic drop, and the few old ones I have gotten have been mostly dupes.
-
Couldn't of put it better myself. The drop rates of them are one of the main reasons I quit. I like rng grinds in games but this is different it's clearly a fixed system. Bungie are holding back exotics for some reason. Whether it be for the Korean version I don't know or whether it's their plan to keep us logging in more often I also don't know but something is definitely going on!
