Why can match making for comp be based on rank and skill

They aren't really connected but do go hand in hand. Would prevent paids from stomping other teams. It would need to be a last 25 average though. Last few games my kd was much higher than average.

      Since then it’s not a true ranked based game mode, people asked for ranked.

      • Because we dont have dedicated servers. In a competitive mode, every little thing matter. Giving a team an advantage due to lag defeats the purpose of a competitive mode. Plus the glory/reward system would need to be overhauled because a “legend” glory player with a ~1200 elo is NOT the same as a “legend” glory player with ~2500 elo. The easy (only) solution would be to set +/- 500 glory perimeters for grouping up and enable sbmm only to take in account the glory rank, NOT elo. Basically, copy overwatch and stay within the restrictions that p2p servers have.

        • Becase competitive is an unfair and broken system that only favors a minority of highly skilled players and not so skilled players but that at least run a stacked team. Funny thing is that i do have a bunch of friends. But competitive sucks so bad that they dont want to touch it. I dont blame them.

              Because that’s a broken MM system. You do that, then you’re forcing 50/50 matches at every rank and every skill level. You just eliminated the skill gap entirely and blew the ranking system up because now EVERYONE is moving thru the ranks at the same pace. There was a discussion about this very thing at a game dev conference in 2016. I’ll link it when I find it.

              • The matchmaking is based of Glory nothing else. So if you have 1000 everyone has 1000

                  It should be based on individual score. Not Win or Lose. This will make more people wiling to play. Less possibility your team mate will angry at you if you are sucks. I am a low skilled player many times people angry at me as I was at the bottom score on the team. But I was playing as hard as can. This is a video game..supposed for fun not a second job. I like to melee..almost never use gun. But I avoid any competitive based game mode..it has high possibility angry msg after the game. Glory and Varlor should be based on individual score not win or lose. So If I die alot or have less kill..My team mates and my opponents still happy to have me there. My team mates will have more kills because I don't kill the opponents that much and because I always charge the opponents at the front..their focus will be on me..my team mate can shot them. My opponents will be have a lot of fun to kill me a lot. Me...I will be happy if my Shoulder Charge or melee kill anyone. SO..win win situation..!

                • its supposed to go by glory. so if your 2200 glory you should be facing 2200 glory ppl. unless someone with 5000 glory is rolling with 3 ppl with 2200 glory, in a case like that, youll get 1 of your teammtes would be higher. do you not check stats as your flying in?
