Almost all of the LFG posts I see are 590+ 10 completions emblem required. Will check tracker.
Man get outta here with that bullshit. I've been helping underleveled and underprepared people through the raids since VOG days. The acidity and elitism bothers me to no end. Learn to play the game and stop asking to be carried through the raid.

1 ReplyI make my own groups. Always looks like this (Recommenced Raid Power Level, Know What to Do, Chill Nontoxic Players.)
-
Hasn’t it always been this way? As someone who’s never Raided before, I never really understood the Elitism that Raiding generates, but after watching a few ‘Last Wish’ runs and listening to a lot of the conversations about how few people were able to beat it in the first week, I realized a lot of the people who Raid on a regular basis just want to get through the whole entire thing as quickly and efficiently as possible, so they tend to look for people with Raid experience who are strong enough to brute force their way through most encounters. Raiding is about min/maxing as much as possible.

Thats the problem with a game that makes it's end game content for 1 percent of the player population. Thats why people usually leave in droves a few months after an expansion drops and then Bungie sees them leaving and they think its the no lifers who are leaving so they make the game even grindier in the next expansion.

i see two sides to this on one hand as someone who is an experienced raider i get the whole wanting of experienced people so you can get thru the raid without headaches. I also understand new players frustration wanting to do the raid ive seen plenty of people who want to help people thru the raid and learn it , my clan has been doing that, but there are plenty of days when i log in i just want to blow thru the raid with people who know whats going on first then help people after. I dont lfg so i cant really speak to their demands
-
It surprises me how toxic this forum is, people are defending lfg. When optional match making would be a huge benefit to the game, even increasing player numbers and making the game more fun.
-
Raid elitism = carry me, I'm bad Plain and simple. A decent player can make up for an inexperienced player. I understand time restraints, but there is a level of tolerance that actual scrubs just don't have.

2 RepliesConsider these scenarios: 1)You are married, have kids, stressful job, life, yada yada yada... You are given 4ish glorious hours a week to play... You have to maximize your time, so you choose to exercise YOUR right to limit entry to YOUR party that YOU have started. 2) You decide "I don't want to help people today." I want to raid with like-leveled and like-skilled individuals. 3) You decide "I'm feeling magnanimous. Lets help some folks who have never tried the raid." You get a few people skilled, and willing to help people out. You help them. 4) Bungie has pre-requisites for Guided Games on power level... why are you not crying about them? All of the options are equally understandable. None of these options offend me. If you want to force yourself into a raid with under-leveled, and poorly skilled players, enjoy yourself! Its a challenge. Take it easy on the assumptions. Think outside the box. Exercise your freedom, and let others do the same. I completed the Raid 1x... Now I'm off to the other hotspot for crying gamers - PVP gear locked behind skill level requirements...

I’m 594 at my highest, and let me just say: I apologize for others like me who use their powers for evil. Not all of us tryhards are terrible people.

5 RepliesThis is complete BS and you know it. I've never seen a 10+ completion requirement. The most I've ever seen has been "must have emblem". There are many starter groups out there, go do those.
-
6 RepliesElitism is what ruins games, it just needs to die. :/
-
lol so true, i don't plan on doing the raid until i'm 550 or 560, not ask 590+ 10 completions required bs players on the forums when I am 40 light below and haven't done the raid once
-
2 RepliesI haven't seen a single post that is even close to the one you posted. Also, why not join a clan? If you're in one then you shouldn't really have a problem.
-
9 Replies559 big oof

11 RepliesThe raid is so laughable too. Way too many mechanics, it just makes it boring. Not to mention after 585 the first 3 encounters only give you gear 1 or 2 higher than what you have. I haven’t killed riven yet but I can’t be bothered to, we wipe once and I’m already bored so I just leave. Once again the DLC has slowed down to a snails pace, I’ve returned to FF XIV and will get on Destiny casually until December when I’ll grind out the armory.

3 RepliesOP's post has 338 characters, it takes 45 characters to type LFG Last Wish fresh. 559 Warlock, need sherpa
-
Lol nothing’s changed. It’s not as bad as that. At worst it’s 50% of posts. Either wait a few minutes for a more reasonable group or make your own. Just look how may people are here moaning and making excuses. You could all group up with each other and learn but no you’d rather blame someone else. Nobody wants to raid with someone who thinks they’re entitled to your help.
-
5 RepliesYou just noticed now? Anyway raid elitism is the worst form of toxicity and should be stopped but it won’t. Also, it’s gotten even worse when everyone wants to leave it to RNG and do the cheese when the mechanics aren’t that hard to learn and not much harder to get good at.
-
2 RepliesSo why complain, rather then host your own raid with players similar to yourself?
-
Most times people just put that there to attract people with some knowledge of the raid.

1 ReplyEdited by Brandon: 10/11/2018 3:55:12 PMExplain how they would add raid matchmaking though. They'd literally have to water down the raid with things on-screen,telling you what to do and where to go,etc. RIFT and it's Instant Adventures come to mind. Do you honestly think it'll be as easy as dropping six people in the raid and expecting them to work together and complete it magically? Who's making the party chat lobby? Who's the designated leader? Does everyone speak English? Those are the things you'll have to worry about if they added matchmaking, and I guarantee it'll be just as much as a waste as guided games was. You're not thinking my dude. It'd be a pointless feature and you'd need to do all sorts of unnecessary legwork still. There will NEVER be matchmaking for raids,so your idea will always be moot. If you're so fussed about it,make a lobby and title it "Last Wish (first time)" and let the people roll in. Watch a few videos and learn the encounters. Ask questions. But don't come here and clog up the forums with suggestions that you've put minimal effort into. It's a waste of your own and everyone else's time. You've got to start interacting with people eventually, even the toxic ones you claim that exist. Honestly,I just think they want raid done quick and clean and there's nothing wrong with that. If not that, then form a group of your own. I'd do the raid with you on PS4 today, tbh. Haven't done it yet myself, but I keep watching encounter videos to get the basic mechanics memorised.

3 RepliesI talked to my clan mate about the raid, he said get to 570 and I will have you go with us. Pissed off? No, I'm at 560 right now, so one week from this Friday I'll be ready.
-
3 RepliesYou make it seem like this is something new. Ever since the days of VoG when your only choice for LFG was third party apps and sites it's been: "Must be Level 30 with Gjallarhorn with 10+ completions or know how to run relic. No exceptions." Or for Crota: "Must be Level 32 with Gjallarhorn with 10+ completions or know how to run sword. No exceptions." Or for Skolas: "Must be Level 35 with Gjallarhorn. No exceptions." Or for Oryx: "Must be 300 (or 335 when Heroic came out) with Touch of Malice and 10+ completions. No exceptions." Or for Aksis: "Must be 385 (400 with Heroic) with Dark Drinker and 10+ completions. No exceptions." This is way it has been since the beginning.

40 RepliesEdited by --KNIGHT--: 10/11/2018 3:00:26 PMI'm sick of the sh**

Asking for an experienced team is not asking to be carried. Unless of course you yourself are not experienced. That's a different story. But so long as you meet your own requirements well it's your team you can require whatever you want. As I have said a million times since D1....if you don't like people on Lfgs requirements then MAKE YOUR OWN -blam!-ING POST.
-
2 RepliesPeople have been like that since vanilla D1. I do agree though, asking for every person to have certain power level and completions is complete bs. They might want to finish the raid quickly but they will have to wait a while in order to get a full team with that attitude.
-
1 ReplyBegun? You must be a new player. It hasn't stopped since D1 was born.
