48 RepliesMercury is to all other locations in Destiny 2, like that Cousin at a funeral you always run into, the one that no one really wants to talk to because he has an obsession with making figurines out of cat shit he digs out of the cat box. his clothes are full of moth balls, always, and it smells bad. because he collects them. he has an unwelcoming attraction to your cousin Susan, which is questionable because she is a bit on the Beefy Side and is the stare contest winner in your family, if you can last 10 seconds looking at her you are a winner. she is the type of gal that you take a photo of and stick it to up in the kitchen to keep the flies away from food. she is the type of gal, that the dog humps with his eyes closed she is the type of gal, that you need 2 paper bags for , one for her and one for you in case her paper bag falls off during whoopee time. every time he hugs her he squishes the back fat and whispers "titties" in her ear. Point is, Mercury had so much potential, but somewhere someone fiddled with it and it turned out all Chernobyl. Done.

2 RepliesWhat's upsetting is that since D1 folks were drooling over Mercury. The idea of the hybrid garden machine world and iwhat would be it's insane skybox was awe inspiring. So in the end Mercury never became patrol able in D1. So when it was announced D2 would have it. Folks were excited. After 3 years...finally we get to see it. Instead we get a donut. =/ Bungie REALLY needs to expand it & Titan. Really badly.

5 Repliesupvote to visit pluto in D3

absolutely a waste of server space.
-
1 ReplyDude, Mercury is the best. if you turn the public event on Mercury heroic, you get a second blue. OP.

Edited by ELRaSun: 10/9/2018 5:18:11 AMEsp since patrols are useless and add 0% towards completion. If you don’t want to wait around basically just have to repeat the lost sector over and over

2 RepliesEdited by Portal154: 10/8/2018 6:25:22 AM
Horrible Flashpoint
100% agreed. It's the worst one of the lot. Even worse now, since the yellow bar mobs don't count towards your progress at all, neither do patrols now, I believe. You have to wait for events or do missions, which is just f*cking stupid. I hated having to do it on all 3 characters this week. Tip: Do heroic story missions. The weekly heroic is like 50%, I think, and if you do a couple more quick heroic missions, you get your 100%. Usually you'll get an event in that time as well. I didn't figure that out until my 2nd toon :P

Get rid of Mercury, keep Brother Vance. Someone needs to take my metric ton of Simulation Seeds so I can get Masterwork Cores.

2 RepliesEdited by Cyril: 10/7/2018 12:00:30 PMExactly. Before Forsaken you could eliminate "Defenders" yellow bar ads that would count toward the flashpoint too because the public event is so scarce. The current system for me is one step forward, two steps back. Looting a single Lost Sector 3 times in a row is stupid as f. And also why in the world do Patrols no longer count? They used to count I believe 5 or so percent towards the flashpoint. I feel really screwed with if the developer of a game takes away stuff that worked just fine and to which I have grown used to. There was absolutely no reason for doing so, except becoming weird and confused regarding what exactly your game is supposed to be. The only thing that's better than before is that Heroic Adventures count too.

1 ReplyEdited by Lt-Elhew-_USMC: 10/7/2018 10:46:01 PMThere is so much they could do with the infinite forest. I thought there could be a randomizer built into it were you get a randomized map and mission with a random objecttive. Chance of getting a really hard to get item that would be worth your time and maybe other worth while loot. Or how about a simulation to see if you could go back in time and save the Exodus Black from its destruction and save the Colonist! A bunch of what if missions could be done using the infinite forest like that. How about being able to stop the attack on the tower or being able to win that fight? So many new simulations can be done like this! Why not?
-
3 RepliesAgreed. Useless location. The Infinite Forest is tedious, the lack of sparrow use is vexing, and Brother Vance needs to die.
