This week at Bungie, Guardians gave chase to the goals that meant the most to each of them.

69 RepliesEdited by TheShadow-cali: 10/7/2018 4:49:35 PMJust admit it. Bungie took on a new IP and with all the issues this game has that ties to this app? Bungie can't give this game the attention it actually needs and that has been proven without a doubt with the engine they are using that has issues. Such a shame to see things have only gotten worse with this company and game and Bungie thinks creating more areas that are barebone with an empty loot system is going to help this game? I don't get this flawed logic knowing this company has been in business for almost 30 years and has been working on this project for 11 years. Call this a complaint or whatever, but know this. More content when it comes to the skybox creating more areas is great and all, but it's the in-game content that matters in any game more than anything else and that is a fact. Meaning the loot system, vendors having an actual inventory like D1 that made a world of difference. ROI did that, there were plenty of new items to grind for. D1 is a prime example that having fewer areas created in the game didn't affect the incentive D1 gave to the gamers to want to play. (Stop focusing on creating skyscrapers with mass amount of unplayable background scenery leaving a tiny area with barely anything to do like Mercury.) Focus on the loot system, because this game only consists of weapons, gear, and material, and when there isn't much to grind for other than just the nome all the time, it makes for a boring game. Edit: Someone needs to explain how this is logical. Ikora is literally shut down if you didn't buy forsaken and has been for over a month. Ikora is part of the vanguard that when new gamers start this game she is literally useless right now. Since when does the vanguard get shut down knowing they are supposed to be there for new gamers? The only thing Ikora had when D2 released was 3 adventures and later she was given some gear. How is this keeping with the concept of this game and what purpose would this company even need to shut Ikora down??? Edit: 1. You guys can downvote this all you want, it's still not going to change the fact on how much this game is actually lacking in-game content.

1 ReplyAnyone playing BO4? Blackout is surprisingly good

10 RepliesTell Bungie to do themselves and the player base a huge favor. If Barrett is not working on this, put him and his team on it that created ROI. This game would be 10 times better off than it is now and it would save Everyone the migraine headache.

Uh where's this weeks twab at?

9 RepliesThis week at bungie: Streamers we are listening to your feedback, effective immediately since triplewreck complained, we are nerfing a few things. Masterwork cores are not changing because gothalion likes them. Crucible is thriving because truevanguard is pubstomping in quick play with his clan, the rest of the community, -blam!- you.

2 RepliesWhen's the nova warp buff? Personally I think it needs to 1) Last longer 2) Have a larger blast radius 3) Be able to teleport you across the map 4) Have a 3x buff to it's armor and handheld supernova should track enemy targets and kill them instantly. Also shotguns need a buff, their range is way to low. Sleeper definitely needs a buff too, way too little aim assist. I mean really, why should I even be required to ads to hit a guy across the map? Come on guys, get on this

4 RepliesThis week at Bungle, we will continue to shit on everyone that doesn't stream our game. Streamers will notice an increase in exotic drops - even though we're -=coughpunishingcough=- the scrubs that glitched their way to Worlds First. Solos will continue to get shit on. Sell your lies elsewhere... I'm not buying.

Edited by Savitar: 10/10/2018 1:02:40 PMListen to the actual community, Not streamers, More people are complaining than people saying “oh look at this stupid puzzle, amazing”. Fix your game or suffer the consequences of wasting millions upon millions of dollars on a game no one will buy. What have you done, You took something garbage and made it less garbage for a week than made it more garbage than it ever was before. You people at Bungie wont read this anyway but I will make an un-biased list of things to fix: Matchmaking (PVP) PVP in general Bows (They suck) Shotgun range stats (Too high) Exotic drop rates (A little bit) Dont fix Powerful Engrams (They are okay as is) Forsaken Exotic drop rates Masterwork Core economy Mod component economy You people in the comments can tell me what to add to the list, I will put it in the list. Edit: Bungie will listen to some SPECIAL people (Streamers) which are a very small group of people out of the community, Less than 1%, But they are more important than the other 99%? Hmmm, Sound like your trying to market your game better, “Screw the fans, We want more MONEY”

6 RepliesDreaming city is cool at first. But then you realize the specific loot is behind bounties. Blind well is rather paltry without a bounty. Instead of having players farming loot and god rolls on gear - its freaking empty. You made some changes in the right direction but you guys behaving like dipshits took the game to its current state.

2 RepliesI sorry guys but the festival of the lost is starting to look like the Festival of the damned .... it just seems like more grinding and more bungie bullshit😕

The kill feed in pvp is literally broken. It doesn't show anything now.

Daily reminder, the community loves melting Riven. Don’t waste time changing this. Spend that time on making great new content.

9 RepliesHere are my thoughts on what needs to be addressed: 1. Masterwork Cores. Despite being an unabashed advocate of intensified weapon infusion requirements, I agree with... well, pretty much everyone and their kid brother that masterwork cores are too hard to find. I've got a ton of weapons and armor that are stuck at low light levels and low masterworking levels because I can't afford to waste a masterwork core on upgrading them either way. Now yes, I understand the rationale. I know that you guys readily manipulate game mechanics to encourage players to play a certain way, for better or for worse. This mechanic is intended to get us to use new weapons instead of blindly pumping them into existing guns. Solution: This can be attained by requiring the use of cores, glimmer, and planetary materials instead. Since all these things can be grinded for, we never feel like we're making momentous and irrevocable decisions, and we can use the cores to masterwork the guns we find that we do like. Also, we can keep the weapons that are essential to our fighting style competitive. 2. Crucible Matchmaking. When you went to 6v6 Crucible and the matchmaking system supposedly collapsed, you freely stated that they were making no efforts to fix it. PvP has been ugly ever since: previously, as a moderately conservative player (one who exchanges a slightly higher K/D for a lower overall kill count), I had a 1.48 Efficiency and a 1.1 K/D. In other words, I was doing exactly as well as a cautious player should. And, I was facing mostly players at or around my level. And make no mistake, I may be PvP garbage because of genetic limitations (my fine motor skills and reaction time are both dismal), but I have 3000+ hours in D1 and D2; I know when the players I'm facing are better than me. And now, it seems like that's all I'm going up against. And, to add to the insult, there are all these clan bounties and daily/weekly bounties that demand Crucible participation for leveling up our gear. Because there are few bounties requiring extreme skill, I get the sense that they exist to force cupcakes like me into the Crucible, so that the sweats can eat us for lunch. This is a game that runs on power fantasy, and getting repeately humiliated by every enemy we encounter utterly destroys that. For every player who says the Crucible is more fun than ever now, there's a player who is growing to passionately hate it. And given that Bungie needs an engaging PvP experience to keep players coming back during content droughts... well, tormenting some players for the amusement of others is a short-sighted strategy. Solution: Seperate players into maybe 5-7 skill tiers by their K/D. Also, monitor how many of them there are in a fireteam. When possible, match single players at their tier level (a tier-5 single player fights other tier-5's). If there are 2-3 in a fireteam, match them up a level (a tier-4 team fights tier-5 singles). If there are 4-6 in a fireteam, match them up two levels. If a player is massacring the enemy, have them go up a level. If they're getting pureed, drop them a level. 3. Invader Mechanics The Sleeper Simulant is proving to be quite the problem in Gambit, leading to its frequent overuse. Simply put, though, nerfing the Sleeper is not going to solve any problems. It will only reduce an excellent gun to garbage, and people will simply pull out deity-roll sniper rifles, tracking rocket launchers, or the dreaded Golden Gun. Solution: A much sounder strategy for balancing Invaders, especially in their devastating use of certain long-range weapons, is to limit his/her advantages. For instance, allow the Invader to only see enemies at a certain range (30m maybe), forcing them to hunt down their targets instead of picking them off from another time zone. Reducing their overshield, decreasing how frequently they can visit, or reducing their time from 30s to 25 are also possibilities. 4. Exotic Drop Rate Self-explanatory. Many people aren't getting the wonderful new toys that Forsaken brought. Solution: While I have no objection to making exotics drop infrequently, I do believe that availability should graduate. If you just started or received an exotic, it's fine for your chances of another to be remote, even infintesimal. But, as you do more and more powerful gear quests and open more and more prime engrams, the chances should inch slowly upward. This keeps exotics nicely rare, but ensures that fewer people get a glut of them, and that no one goes months without even one dropping. Maybe it's a 1 in 500 chance if you just had an exotic drop, a 1 in 100 chance on the 10th engram after, a 1 in 10 chance on the 30th, and a 50% chance on the 50th. 5. Cayde's Death Scene I didn't like this bit for several reasons. First, it made no sense: why would Uldren leave Cayde alive? For that matter, since he's electronic, and electronic brains don't degrade the way organic ones do, the only way to kill him for good would be to destroy his brain. Right now, there's no reason why there can't be a Cayde-7 (he'd simply be retired as a Guardian because his next death would be his last). Second, it showcased the worst aspect of game cutscenes through numerous expansions and a sequel: the fact that our Guardian never speaks. Cayde might joke about it as he expires, but... well, think about it: even when kneeling by a dying friend, we're a voiceless lump. And third, it was dramatically unnecessary: Cayde's defiant last words to Uldren ("How's your sister?") were perfect. And our Guardian's first words ("You won't have to. Uldren Sov is mine!") were equally perfect. It would have just been better if when you reached Cayde, he was already gone. Solution: Sadly, what's done is done. But try to minimize cutscenes featuring our Guardian as a mute lump, especially during emotionally intense bits. They absorb the scene's energy like a black hole.

30 RepliesEdited by Umirin: 10/5/2018 7:43:59 AMNow that the honeymoon phase is over, it is becoming clear that Bungie is delaying progress on purpose. Waiting a whole freaking month to add some masterwork cores to bounties is outrageous. Besides, we will have to complete those stupid bounties for them, meaning we need to farm even more. Where is all the fun of min/maxing your gear, collecting gear sets for specific activities and last but not least.. fashion. I haven't infused a SINGLE thing since Forsaken launched, let alone applied a shader to anything. Because right now the system is SO broken, that you are forced to use your highest level gear, which gets replaced by other gear within days which we CAN'T infuse with the current system. Why even invest in collecting gear? I can't enjoy my weapons, all my god rolls are low light level and I only put myself at a disadvantage by using them. Bungie hasn't changed a thing, they are so manipulative by letting us know they are working on it and purposely delaying those MUCH needed patches in the hope that we all continue to play. This is going to backfire so much for them. The only reason people are playing Destiny is because there is are no other games in the same genre, but at least there will be in the upcoming months. Haven't they learned shit from D2Y1? It's a shame really, this game could have been so much more. Why the hell won't they listen to the community? It sickens me, like they know everything better and want to forces us the way we play, everything to "prolong the grind", which is NOT fun at all right now.

Any update on when the lore book is releasing? Never been a fan of things that are vague and say “Fall” but never update that after a preorder.

20 Replieswith so many AAA titles coming I highly suggest you get the 10/30 exotic and masterwork patch out like next week kind of thing. I understand this is a very difficult task for you but with over half my clan already not coming back after Spider-Man and now Assassins Creed I can only imaging what will happen after Red Dead 2, CoD and god help you if Fallout 76 is good! I got my 11 exotic tonight...Orpheus Rigs, that's 10 out of 11 exotics now in forsaken that are duplicates (yes I play a lot). You said you wanted it to be exciting getting an exotic...well I'm not, just PISSED OFF at this point and very liable to uninstall if I go 11 out of 12

Edited by Knox19Delta: 10/8/2018 3:00:42 AMAlmost 600 on one and 575 on another and could be 570 on my Titan. Still no Forsaken Exotic. Lord of Wolfs don’t count. Had it years ago.. sat in my vault. WTF is wrong with your drop rate???? Come on!!!!! Listen Bungie

Your game will fail due to your own stupid decisions

The recommended light level for this lost sector is 530, that is why we're making all the engrame drops here 500? Huh? Wtf? Talk about stupidity. Wait... Looks like the same Bungie techniques are at play here. Dddrrraagggg out the ggggrrrriiiiinnnddd..... Hit the dreaming city and the brakes slam on your character progression.
