Is anyone else just plan tired of all the jumping puzzles in Destiny 2? I have had enough of them. It almost seems that when Bungie can't come up with something unique or new, we get some or another jumping puzzle? For whisper it was ok, made sense, to do it big time once. But not over and over and over. Really, if I wanted to play a platformer game, I would. But Destiny is a First Person Shooter... or it used to be, right? Enough with the blasted jump puzzles! For example, does every ascendant challenge have to be a jumping puzzle more than a combat challenge, no, enough is enough.
Edit... This topic has really hit a nerve... over 500 posts!

Good Lord, you guys must really suck to be this upset about something as simple as jumping.
-
So you’re a warlock huh!? 😂🤷🏼♂️

Jumping is a core mechanic of Destiny I never understood why people have such a problem with it.. I personally really enjoy the jumping puzzles and exploring different areas that require precise jumps

Edited by Marcelis_Wallace: 10/5/2018 2:39:18 PMYes. it would be much better for Destiny 2 if for all the Endgame activities there was a hallway with a door at the end that said "Boss #1 inside". Then we go fight him, collect loot and call it a day. If they wanted to get devious, they might put a fork in the hallway, one way leading to a dead end just to throw us off.
-
No, I like them personally.
-
Play some weeks super mario and you shozld be fine in Destiny.
-
I’d complain if they were hard, but they are more of an easy obstacle before you can kill everything. It adds a little variety to the mindless shooting, so I don’t mind.
-
11 RepliesLiterally the only people who would complain about this are incompetent fools. Or Warlocks, cuz their jump sucks.
-
Pretty sure d2 had jumping puzzles when you bought it

1 ReplyEdited by FataLVisioN_Oo: 10/5/2018 10:52:27 AMI wish you had to fight all kinds of enemies while jumping....... but that would be absolutely impossible for some so it'll never happen.

Your post implies Destiny didn't always have jumping puzzles?? They've been a thing since the launch of D1.
-
No. They've been a fun and integral part of Destiny since Vault of Glass, and are personally really fun.
-
Jumping puzzles are great, I love them, and want more.
-
yeah water sucks too....what?
-
I enjoy them. They remind me of D1, and at least I find them fun... and I get to laugh at people who fail at them. Win win for me.

Im tired of not being able to access my hunter because of weasel errors. Meanwhile bungie drags ass on fixing it. But if there is exploits come out that is quick to be fixed. But being able to play all my characters? Nope. Bout to the point of calling it quits.
-
no. just no.

1 ReplySomeone needs to go play Metroid Prime.

Sorry man I’ve enjoyed every ascendant challenge so far. First thing I do at reset . Jumping and mobility have been in this game since the start and should remain . It’s all part of the experience .
-
No. Whats the point of having mobility and movement like we do if we arent going to use it?
-
Honestly if it's a choice between a jumping puzzle like whisper and a PvP shitshow like Ace of Spades, Chaperone or Malfeasance. I'll take the jumping puzzle all god damn day. If I'm sick of anything it's grinding their trash pvp modes.
-
1 ReplyPersonally, I really enjoy them. I know many of my friends do. It breaks the monatony of shooting stuff repeatedly. Granted, I understand, it's a shooter. So I see your point. But i enjoy the change at the current frequency used.
-
I'm not a fan of them and I really don't like how Bungie has us spawning outside the ascendant challenges if we die. Beat last weeks 4 times but could never get all 3 of us to the chest at the same time before it despawned.
-
3 RepliesYeah I for one hate them sometimes. Like this week's ascendant challenge definitely got me pissed. F that bounty. I tried it again today it took me 25 minutes of dieing and starting over to get to the bottom and when I get there I ran out of time right before I could finish. It had me screaming at the TV.

Jumping puzzles and a bit of platforming and mobility have a been a part of this game since day 1 (you've been playing for that long haven't you?) so what did you think was going to change ? I like jumping puzzles it breaks things up.

Destiny 1 had barely any jumping puzzles, and the point for them in D2 is to hone your jumping skills, expand map so that you can be in different area or to test your skills
