Edited by Bœotian Princess: 9/25/2018 8:05:32 PMAs someone who plays nonstop, the grind for the exotics is absolutely shit. People say the drop rate is just dandy. The funny thing is, they already have acquired new exotics. What about everyone else? Exotics are something to be revered? The only benefit of equipping an exotic is because the first Destiny legendary armour no longer exists. I've only had a crack at the Lord of Wolves and a few exotic sparrows. Man oh man. This is absurd and abysmal.
-
I'd be perfectly ok with them being too rare, if I wasn't getting duplicates of shit I already own. That I feel is a slap to the face for my efforts of grinding
-
Agreed! I’ve said it a few times now but I don’t mind low drop rates for exotics but when you get one it should be new. Grinding for duplicates sucks! I would love to switch things up with new weapons or armor, tweak the play style a bit and try new things but don’t have that option because I have shitty RNG. They really need to increase the chance of getting something new dramatically or make Xur useful. Heck, increase the cost of a Fated Engram but it’s beyond ridiculous
-
It’s not just the exotics, I would be happy if I could get some of the legendaries instead of the same 3-4 legendaries 90% of the time. How many grenade launchers can I possible use, how many Go Figures do you think I can equip, especially in light of the fact that the dozen Dreaded Venture sniper rifles go in the same slot.? RNG can only work if checks are in place to protect against repetitive ‘RNG’ tables. Computers are by design deterministic, RNG is only as good as the algorithm used to create the ‘random’ table.

4 RepliesI agree with this. In year one I could pull 2-4 a day. That's too common. But I think many of us can agree that 1 in 3 weeks is too rare. Its pissing me off to see people with 5+ and my entire play group have pulled 1 each in the first three weeks, after doing everything the game currently has to offer in the current state.
-
Nope, exotics are just fine
-
2 RepliesYes...the rarest items in the game....are "too rare" 😐
-
Nope no exotics for you but here, have an edge transit! 😂
-
Agreed I'm 572 light, have completed the new raid, and still don't have a single new exotic besides quest ones, i.e Ace of spades and chaperone
-
Leave off will ya 😂 They are perfect right now man
-
2 RepliesI just want another edge transit to add to my collection of 650
-
ive barely been playing destiny since Forsaken dropped (alot of working) and ive obtained two exotics already. These chances seem great to me honestly. You shouldnt be able to obtain all exotics within a couple months
-
1 ReplyYou are going to love the two tailed fox. It's the only new one I got, but I couldn't have asked for a better one. It's an absolute beast. Mine dropped on a daily from a yellow engram found in the field.
-
3 RepliesSame here, all of my friends have new exotics and I get squat I am going to quit playing one of these days if I dont get at least one soon
-
Since Forsaken dropped I've only gotten the Galanor chest and the Two Tailed Fox. It actually felt exciting again. Bungie, keep this drop rate. Keep exotics feeling like exotics.
-
I don't mind. I like the fact that people aren't complaining about the lack of things to grind for. Someone's always got to complain about something. 😕
-
Nah. We've had exotics handed to us long enough. I'm glad I get to actually use a new exotic before I get another one.
-
So you want exotics to be more common. You know, because that’s the definition of exotic.

-
10 RepliesIt's perfect as is
-
7 RepliesThey are exotic
-
5 RepliesNah, dude
-
I finally got my first exotic drop in forsaken today. Gwisin vest. From a normal chest in patroll when enemies fight against eachother.
