28 RepliesHey all, We're passing along the feedback concerning Masterwork Cores and Infusion. When we have more information, we'll let you know!

1 ReplyEdited by WickedPaulyD123: 9/21/2018 7:51:27 PMI think masterwork cores should be only for masterworking gear, not for the actual infusion of the gear. However, I wouldn't mind if there was a slight increase of master work cores. Have a weekly bounty that drops 10 or increase how many spider gives you per transaction or increase when you dismantled gear. I was fine when they laid out their plan, but I didn't think it was going to be that reliant on masterwork cores for everything. /shrug, it's a pain... the struggle is real.

I just removed it in order to avoid further conflict ] - My point of view is still the same, not to remove MWCORES, instead improve its economy. - either buy them on a fixed price, or complete a bounty in order to get a certain amount. - for example 10 per week per character, if you use all 3 of them that makes 30 per week.

2 RepliesThis is what you all got for screeching your lungs out about grinding. Thanks a lot.

1 ReplyI, rather painfully, deleted all my collected guns from D2 so far (many with fond memories). I wound up with around 200 masterwork cores. I will hence milk those for the rest of this game because I have not had a single masterwork gun drop since Forsaken was released. I struggled to get masterwork guns to drop at all BEFORE Forsaken. My characters will just have to remain ugly af lol

3 RepliesEdited by More Power: 9/21/2018 3:44:26 PMI'm ok with the grind, but I'd like to know whether the first raid streamers had inside knowledge of what to bank (i.e. shards and MW cores) long before D2Y2 dropped. Did they have inside knowledge of how best to progress to raid light level? How is it that their whole raid team did too? Who, without insider knowledge, could have predicted that Masterwork cores would be "the" single item that holds people back? Hence forth... I will bank every consumable once I get my main up to raid light level - in anticipation for next year.

5 RepliesAgreed, this needs to be the fix ASAP. And there needs to be a better economy or way to get them, like a straight fair purchase from our or something. Getting them from the Spider sucks, only realistically affording one or two a day, a guardian will never get anything infused or master worked.

All of my friends quit playing Destiny after that & haven't come back to it. Bungie thinks we don't have jobs & can waste days trying to infuse one damn gun or armor & for what? They know how to piss off the only Destiny fans they had left. And wheres a real story at? So far the universe of Guardians has zero story or history...its garbage

1 ReplyThe whole Bungie formula for character progression is broken. I mean when you really step back away from the game and look at it, and then compare it to most MMO games, it's really a mess. Why do you only get X opportunities to progress each week? Why does gear have LL at all? To me, isn't spending each week increasing some numbers on the same gear (for the most part) really the worst kind of grind? They had the core ideas of progression better worked out in D1 vanilla than they do four years later. Levels open up the opportunity for better gear, better gear opens up the opportunity for harder encounters, the hard encounters are where the top end loot comes from. Some people like the diversity, that all 500 legendary guns are an option to use. That's fine, their opinion is just as valid as mine. I'm just saying that I preferred the days of everyone running around in hive armor using a VoC, BH and GH. And that's why I'm not playing the game anymore.

THIS, the materials I don’t mind, but the cores? Its overkill. Especially when you have god rolls or armor you genuinely want to use and it costs a whopping 3 cores with every infusion? The 8,000 glimmer was bad enough, what makes it even worst is that when you buy cores from Spider the -blam!-ing cost doubles with every purchase. And you’ll get 1 core out of every 5 weapons dismantled, its absurd.

Agreed, I really dont want them to start throwing random currencies at shit just for the sake of making you spend the currency. It needs to make sense.

5 RepliesEdited by Mitrovarr: 9/21/2018 4:22:26 AMIt actively makes the game less fun. Before Forsaken, I used cool and fun exotics like Wardcliff coil, Crimson, Coldheart, etc. I had multiple loadouts of armor specifically for different tasks. I had weapons I really liked and maintained through large portions of the game, like my masterwork Scathelocke (my first masterwork and one I really seemed to click with). After Forsaken, I just use the equipment with the highest numbers. The end. Even if I could afford to infuse stuff, I couldn't afford to maintain it as my power rises.
