Edit: TL;DR - The thing that pisses me off is that people who used glitches and exploits to get higher light are rewarded by having a massive advantage over people like me who grinded my ass off for like 70+ hours. THAT is unfair.
So I know they bumped the light up due to people reaching unexpectedly high light; what they did not say (conveniently) is that it'd be so hard that normal players don't stand a chance.
The raid STARTS at 550, yet despite playing every single day after work and on my days off, amassing well over 100h on Forsaken alone, completing every daily and weekly challenge and I'm only 530, and my friends with similar playtimes are all 530-535.
What this means is basically, WE'RE SCREWED! The people who cheated their light up are rewarded, meanwhile legitimate, commited players like me and my friends have no reasonable chance of completing the raid.
I really wanted that jacket, but now I know Bungie don't want regular people to have nice things, they just cater to the cheaters and Twitch streamers (although it's not the Streamer's faults).
Really killed my excitement...

hit 542 without cheating just doing all milestones. I have no issue in raid. You were just unlucky in drops like my clan

5 RepliesI liked Vault of Glass. I liked Crota's End. I liked Prison of Elders. I don't like Leviathan. I don't like Eater of Worlds. I don't like Spire of Stars. Bungie is two steps forward, three steps back. There is nothing Destiny 2 has done better than the original.
-
so from what I have been reading, you need to be 600 to even bother with the raid ;)
-
12 RepliesI've heard that the final boss is 580. I believe that you can't do damage to anything 40+ above your level. Meaning anyone below 540 has no chance of even damaging the boss. That's some good planning on Bungie's part.
-
dont worry the bosses go up to 580
-
Its almost midnight and no one has cleared yet. The final boss is 580. Even the exploiters probably didn't expect it to be that high. Might be the first raid we ever see where there isn't a day 1 clear.
-
5 RepliesWhat level do you need to be to hurt the boss at the first part?
-
2 Repliesyup Only a couple raid groups that had all the time in the world since forsaken came out to grind will get worlds first emblem. I traded my weekend work shift to a co worker for time off at took 3 of his week days in return just to find out i have no chance at all , and now im literally getting -blam!-ed aye lmao

16 RepliesNot to be a dick but you suck if you’re only 530 and you’ve play every single day... you’re doing something wrong or RNG hates you.
-
13 Repliescan you explain what you mean by players cheating their light up
-
6 RepliesOh well time to play the Warframe update from yesterday until I can earn more powerful gear. Guess that's what they wanted. If the LL was raised because of cheaters then that is utter BS. The cheaters should've been banned or rolled back. Everyone who grinded almost everything is at the 530 or so mark. Just because it makes alot of people on this board mad and brings me enjoyment, WARFRAME UPDATE YEAH!!!! F this raid and playing D2 until reset.

The raid level is too high or our means of progression is too slow. Also, now people that glitched or got lucky with powerful drops will complete raid mostly and get high power level will be more powerful for IB next week. GG bungo.

19 RepliesWhat a great launch to be honest the Forsaken was. Yea it has it's flaws but overall, the excitement and love was back for Destiny. Now, two weeks in, we have come across a monumental screw up. One that could have been avoided with some intelligence. Bungie, you guys really need help. I don't understand how you can be so brilliant and so stupid at the same time. The raid has officially undone everything you've set out for the Forsaken to be and to be honest, it is your fault. You catered to streamers. You've allowed prime engrams abusers to thrive in the raid at the moment (Datto being one of them). You've pretty much told three fourths of your community screw you, you're not getting the offering we lost for you back. What is wrong with you Bungie? You can't seem to get out of your own way. No matter how hard you try. It's like you can't stand your own gamer base and it's really sad. You're handing out jackets and emblems to people who don't deserve it. The raid was supposed to be a successful launch and it has become the polar opposite. Do you care? Do you, Bungie? In a way the emblem and jacket are going to be black spots, almost markers if you will, for the people who abused the system you put in against those who stood high and grinded just to reach Light Level 530. In the end we ultimately ended up where we were pre Forsaken launch only this time we have a great story and a mediocre, disappointing raid. I love Destiny as most here do. But I hate you Bungie. You're a poison. A cancer.

5 RepliesPeople saying you’re being a “crybaby” are missing the point. For 5 years Raiding has been enjoyable. Normal mode meant fun with friends, some epic challenging encounters and new loot. PRESTIEGE is mean for the hardcore base to show off their skill. Bungie screwed up hard. As a day 1 D1 player, I was so sad and disappointed when I got home from work today and jumped in to see a 560* light on the first encounter.

So, it's like SoS? Where the mechanics aren't what's killing you, it's that everything is significantly higher Light than you?
-
Yeah it's pretty wack that it's basically impossible for most of us normal players who want to do the raid but didn't glitch prime engrams. Which really sucks cause I wanted that raid jacket too. But it would be literally impossible for most if not all of us because of how enemies become immune at a certain point.

1 ReplyI agree with this. I’ve played quite a damn lot for someone who has other obligations, responsibilities, a full time job, etc... and I’m nowhere near ready to attempt the raid. That said, those who may have no-lifed it nonstop since the game came out and played day and night to get every single possible morsel of powerful gear drops, miiiight have been able to hit 550 or so. On one character. But for the vast majority of us, that is simply unrealistic and never gonna happen. Thus, removing that from the equation seeing as its highly unlikely and exceedingly rare, those who are “Raid ready” have almost without question abused some type of glitch to grind powerful engrams and artificially inflating their overall power levels. This, in and of itself, should be seen as cheating. Anyone who has done so, should not be allowed to even access the raid on opening day much less be rewarded for beating it. Ridiculous
-
Cmon man. How else are they going to keep us playing public events on Nessus?! I mean...really...
-
3 RepliesI never once used any exploit and I'm currently doing the raid (stated at 543). Thing that hurt you was only using one Character. You had to use your other two characters to boost up your main. There's also tiers in the powerful gear that you needed to figure out and use to your advantage. It was not hard to get raid ready without needing exploit a glitch

Git gud and play more! You have to be a real no life with no friends family or job, play depressing activities for days, be efficient in light progression, then, may be then only, you will be able to join the very prestige club of no life scrubs.

7 RepliesEdited by HOWZ: 9/15/2018 1:58:53 AMHysterical how they wanted to get more people into it and im guessing less than .54 percent of the playerbase can even play it because how the railed progressing light Edit: I've got easily 150 hours since launch and only at 537; 9 powerful drops to date all under light by 5 so...cool

Mechanic wise this raid is nuts but great. The fact that it's so high in light is why most groups are struggling... Previous raids were enjoyable cos groups were getting through boss battles, but this imo, until I'm higher light isn't enjoyable or fun...
-
3 RepliesI'm 530, that's through doing all the dailies and weeklies and dreaming city challenges for a week and a half. I missed barely anything but 100k nightfalls, I think it is fair to say that anyone doing the same would be between 530-540. But there were people out there before the raid at almost 560 light because they exploited a prime engram bug. And now the recommended light is to high for people who grinded the game normally. GG bungie.
-
It’s not even that the boss is 580 light....
-
Like I said. They can't be World's First if they used an exploit!
