Exotic drop rates are fine!!!
This is how it should be.
Edit: Just to be clear, I haven’t yet had a Forsaken exotic drop.

The drop rates arent the problem its that when a exotic does drop its weighted more towards the y1 exotics over y2 stuff. Unlike y1 which weighted the exotics from newly added to oldest in the engrams. Now its all just bs hey you play 90 hrs to get an exotic skyburners when your friend gets LoW, trinity ghoul, cerberous+1, twintailedfox, and queensbreaker (not including armor). Its bungies algorithem for exotics this season which is causing problems for so many. Exotic is exotic when its rewarding but can you honestly say getting dupes of y1 exotics while your friends in your fireteam getting all new exotics is actually fun for you? What about that trash random on your cruicible game that goes (k/d) 1/35 and gets a trinity ghoul from being worst in whole game? Can you honestly say your ok with that or happy for other people? If so you are a saint or a liar

I’ve gotten 2 exotic drops and neither were forsaken. Would it be to much to ask if the drop rates were skewed toward forsaken exotics? Not changing exotic drop rates, just when they do drop have them more likely to drop forsaken exotics.

1 ReplyThere was something in between where we were and where we are. It's called middle ground. Bungie likes to skip over it and go from either too easy or too hard. Currently we're on the too hard side(in relation to drop rates, infusion, and leveling).

Started playing this dlc only gotten 2 exotics those are from the missions that you complete lol, wouldn't mind a it dropping a bit more but the mastercores for infusion is harsh

They're trash let us use three of coins and xur and you can keep the booty drop rates and were both happy 12 exotics since launch all year 1 dupes and i own every year one exotic this not acceptable at all.

1 ReplyI feel the same way. I have also yet to get a Forsaken Exotic and getting very frustrated since I have the worst RNG in the freaking game and can't rely on Xur. Thanks Bungie!!!!

6 RepliesIm all for making exotics feel exotic... but if they want to reduce the rate, they should increase the chances for getting something you dont already have when you do get one.... What is so exotic about getting the same 'exotic' grenade launcher for the 8th time?

My feelings are kinda the same, But that the drop rate for a new exotic; that you don't own should be higher. I've had four exotics drop so far, all old ones and surprisingly that depressed me more when I saw they were old.

I agree, I finally got my Lord of wolves back tonight after defeating that pretty hard cabal centerion bounty and I was beyond stoked to actually get it to drop rather than "oh yea I did a public event got a exotic engram and yup." I also have the sixth coyote chest piece dropped after clutching a Gambit match came out of the primevil. As frustrating not getting to use the new exotics may be, it gives people like me a reason to continue to play and grind. Plus the grind is actually really fun Right now.

How many Forsaken exotics are in the regular loot pool? I wouldn’t think there were that many to be had.

I dont mind the drop rates. But I wouldn't mind the option of a weekly multitask challange that you can do to earn 1 exotic engram. Something like... Complete 5 weekly challanges 100 Kinetic kills 100 Energy kills 100 Power kills 100 Ability kills 20 Boss kills Exotic still only has a small chance of being a Forsaken Item

They need to reduce the chance of getting duplicates. I haven’t had anything drop yet, but my friend has gotten three exotics, all of which were duplicates.
