The only problem I have with forsaken
The guardian only has 2 lines.....
It's nice to have them talk but if bungo spent all that time to get voice actors for our guardian why would they only give them 2 lines?
It's not a big problem but I was a bit dissapointed...

Upvoted. It's pretty lame that our voiced guardian is featured in advertisements and ends up speaking in only 2 cutscenes, and not even the last one. Seems like a waste of time.

Does he have any lines other than that one cut scene? I guess they are trying to get across this idea that he (she) doesn't talk much, unless it's REALLY important. I kinda get and don't mind it I guess, although I was expecting more.

1 ReplyIf that's all you got then the game is fine. FFS the guardian hasn't spoken in 4 years, what did you expect Shakespeare? I personally dont want speaking lines all the time as it ruins Emerson for me. [u]I play[/u] the guardian I don't control them. I do t want them speaking for me.

7 RepliesHonestly? My only problem with Forsaken (in the same vein as yours) is that Fillion didn't record his own swan song. I mean, the only thing he couldn't make happen was literally the most important content of Cayde's story? I really really hope they retro this someday and get Fillion in to do the lines. I LOVE North, and he did an AMAZING job covering. But I want to see a retro along the lines of Dinklebot - someday... In spite of North's amazing performance, it... Just. Feels. Cheaper...

no. Its good to keep the lines at minimum. We want a Master-chief/Doom-slayer sort of character, our guardian is us and a don't want a prancing pony. less word = more room for imagination. Mind you, they still need to talk sometimes or else they loose their substance.

Those lines were implemented around 4 weeks before forsaken dropped.

Other than Petra bugging out, the telesto situation, people having full raid gear already and powerfull engrams being broken so people cant level as intended and Bungie screwing everyone no resetting it...other than that Forsakens been awesome

Seriously the guardian is in a couple scenes what did you what to have happen . The two lines were fine . Any more would’ve seems out of place. Our guardian is a man or women of action not many words .
