Cannot redeem gifted Forsaken code on Xbox.

Just go to this forum post of mine for details https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/248438295/0/0[/u][/b] I can see that there has been a lot of people talking about this and it’s frustrating me to no end. I have been talking with Xbox support regularly about this and most of the time they direct me to Bungie support on twitter. But guess what? Every time I have messaged Bungie support on twitter, I am met with silence. I was gifted this code for Forsaken nearly three days ago now. I own Destiny 2 and all the other DLC myself, no game sharing involved. The redeem code page loads for a moment and then just closes suddenly with no error code showing. I fully expect an upgrade to my standard standalone version of Forsaken after this, especially with the lack of actual customer support. The amount of frustration I have had to endure just to get a simple answer out of the Xbox support team was problematic enough, let alone the complete silence I have gotten from your end. This nearly feels like fraud. I did, at the very least, get word from Xbox support that they are currently working on a fix and would be contacting you all soon as well, so hopefully within the next 72 hours it will be resolved, but as I said. I fully expect to receive the annual pass or something as compensation for this, especially after only receiving silence from your twitter support team.

  • I agree bungies customer support is a joke. They have put a bad taste in my mouth to play destiny ever againor for any future bungie game.

      Contact xbox support and get them to deactivate the code and credit account.

      • microsoft support team deactivated my gifted code today, then they went on my account today and bought the dlc for me with microsoft balance. finally got real help today. go try again now!

          The response to this on a similar post is essentially as follows: “We are aware of this and are investigating the error.” Edit: My issue was solved! Though it wasn’t the same..

              This happened to me too. I was gifted the game and now, 5 day later I still can't play on my account. Microsoft also told me 24 to 72 hours to be resolved, and that was on Thursday afternoon. Bungie really needs to address this and give us some clarification as to what the hold up is. We've paid for a service that we are not receiving.
