You simply don't deserve the Ace of Spades. If you can't handle 5 measily little kills without complaining you don't want it bad enough. Plain and simple. This is one of the first guns requiring just an ounce of skill to obtain. You can't be carried to it, and I personally think its fair.
I've carried alot of people for Whisper, Acrius, and the likes. Its not about elitism, I've done more for this community than 99% of you guys trying to mob this post lmao its just nice to have a gun locked behind skill. Again, just my opinion.

Sometimes you can get the other okayer to help you if you message them your doing the quest. What i did was wait to see where the invader was and kept my distance until he was distracted with other players.

11 RepliesI think you're missing the point, its supposed to be fun, a past time. At this point, I've played so many rounds of gambit that all I want to do is finish the damned quest so I NEVER HAVE TO PLAY IT AGAIN. In the meantime, I guess I'll just keep ruining other peoples gambit games until I succeed. After all, I have no interest in winning, just getting the invader kills. I suppose I could abandon all social contact, quit my job, and play the game 25 hours a day until I "git gud", but I do need to eat every so often, and food costs money. So, if I'm going to funnel 100% of my efforts into a pointlessly tedious task that makes me wish I were doing anything else LONG before I'm done, I might as well stay at work. I've been playing since D1 beta, I never got a Gjallarhorn drop until literally 2 weeks before D2 launched, I can accept random chance, but this quest makes me tired of playing.

1 ReplyMeh, I just really hate hand cannons, would be even better if people would stop stealing my kills
-
3 RepliesI had clan mates assist me with getting the 5 kills. We played our normal Gambit game until the Prime Evil was summoned. If we were leading the opposing team by a significant margin, we would drop the prime evil to 20% health, then wait for the enemy invader to arrive. This allowed farm invaders with targeted efficiency. Completing the Ace of Spades quest line did take a few hours, but is definitely not the worst of the weapon grinds.

7 RepliesI just checked your stats and I'm astonished a noob like you would have ace of spades, if we 1v1'd I'd destroy you leleoleoleoeloeleoeleoeleleoeleoeoeleleeooele what a baaaaaad player loooool

5 RepliesI won't achieve this quest or the shotgun one because of this... BUT my son is a capable pvp player and is currently on my account doing it for me.

I got four kills in one match. Wait for the invader notification, find your teammate with the most motes and basically use them as bait. I didn't hurt that the opposing team was trash, had 13 guardian kills that match lol
-
1 Reply1. Learn the spawns 2. Run and tether the invader 3. Finish them with a hand cannon 4. Profit
-
Keep the piece of shit

18 RepliesNice narrow minded point of view I've been loosely trying Other people killing the invader No invaders Camping sleeper invaders Can't find the invader I can handle the invader, but the randomness is the issue, time I find him, someone else is already battering him, or times run out
-
1 ReplyIf it takes skill how am I able to get 3 of 5 so far?
-
4 RepliesWhat if I give someone my account and pay them to do it for me? B O O M /s

3 RepliesTip for anyone struggling. Try sturm and drang. Kill a bunch of weak ads with drang and save the spicy charged sturm shots for invaders. Good luck!

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......... Go pound your chest somewhere else. Five invader kills in Gambit has nothing to do with skill.... ...and everyting about finding people too stupid or inexperienced to realize that you dont' invade and then fight with your primary.....

You also have the Redrix claymore, the Chaperone, the Redrix Broadsword. What exactly does the Ace of Spades have to do with Gambit? Ill get it eventually, but you have to wonder why they are also selling it eventually right? with that aside, i've not been lucky enough yet, its not about skill to be honest. Sleeper one shots you, Whisper one shots you, and super one shots you, colony 2 shots you. This is what im coming up against. Well OK there is a element of skill involved i guess and luck in creeping up behind said enemy. Either way ill grind away. i am 1/5 for now but i will eventually get it, im sure. Not complaining about the trial, just curious what Gambit has to do with it. id much rather this be locked behind the Raid or something.

I ended up getting all five kills in one match, the second Gambit match I played. Clearly the other team was of the misunderstanding that they needed to be the invader for this quest because every time they came through they were attacking with a HC and not their Super or heavy. I couldn't believe my good fortune. Now currently working on the precision kills in Crucible but had to put that on hold so I don't waste my weekly reward before Tuesday.

7 Repliesshhhh you'll trigger the ridiculously entitled kids who think they're special because they don't play pvp. 'I sHoUlDn'T bE fOrCeD tO pLaY pVp REEEEEEEEE!'

3 RepliesI will admit I was getting rather frustrated with the Gambit part of the quest. Getting the final kill for that step felt so good and satisfying that I jumped out of my seat and screamed in joy. After a few shouts of frustration and a 3 hours worth of gambit, I did it. I'm not exactly a great PvP player but I consider myself decent so The cruicble part was much more easy especially with the crimson. Strike step was easy street. The mission made me cry actual tears of sadness.

1 ReplyNext you’ll have pve players whining because they can’t access the lighthouse 😂😂

Edited by SnakePayne86: 9/10/2018 5:17:00 AMIt’s not that it’s hard to out gun somebody, it’s just that it’s completely random whether you’ll even get a chance to. Then you got try hards coming through with linears, Graviton, and sleepers so you can’t even get close enough. Like jeez, why you trying so hard people? I got it done though so whatever.
-
13 RepliesThat's nice and all, but nobody's invading. I've only played a handful of matches since Forsaken dropped, and people are not invading or killing their primeval, just waiting to be invaded. Kinda hard to get 5 invader kills when the opportunity to even try killing the guy never happens.
-
I’m no pvp god and even I got it done in 5-6 matches. This quest is not at all hard. It just takes time. If I can do it anyone can. Some people just want things handed to them.
-
I got the gambit step by accident, I though it meant I had to invade and one of my teammates was designated invader. I just killed invaders 5 times with betterdevils and I got it without knowing it was progressing.
-
1 ReplyThere’s no problem requiring skill but the quest is all RNG. You have to wait for someone to even invade then hope one of you teammates haven’t killed them first or they don’t kill you with sleeper from across the map before you track them down. I guess i could not actually play gambit and just camp the enemy spawn to get the kills but that doesn’t sound like skill to me. Requiring x number of headshots with hand cannons sound like more a display of skill to me.

I’m absolutely garbage at the game, and I got it done in ~6-7 matches. It’s not too hard. Just group up with a teammate and snag the kill from them.
