what was the solution. i have the same problem?

Had you infused the weapon? Same thing happened to me today after I learned hard way that Braytech weapons are 600 capped

Happened again btw - picked up the next quest from Anna Bray - inspected it in my inventory then went to get on with it only to discover it had disappeared. On both occassions it was still with AB when I went back so I was able to pick it up again.
