Edited by ClusiveC: 8/28/2018 11:10:41 PMThe data is quite clear which ideology tends to have the more violent extremists (here in the US at least), if we're here to talk about who's got the craziest people. This isn't at all surprising, considering that a rally entitled Unite the Right has documented video footage of people shouting "Black Lives Splatter!", chanting for calls of a Race War and genocide against black people and jews, blatant neo-nazism, and most telling - these same people referring to Dylan Roof as a hero and that they should mass-produce wigs made in the same hairstyle as Dylan. Far as i'm concerned, that's beyond intolerant - that is outright calling for murder. (Mainstream media conveniently chose not to air any of this footage; maybe the main reason why is that a lot of the Unite the Right streamers present took down their videos after the whole thing happened, but they've since been uploaded onto youtube and you can find them pretty easily) I watched hours of livestream footage and found virtually none of these apparently tolerant right-wingers denouncing any of it, and in fact, they seemed to welcome it with open arms; which, of course, follows a similar type of rhetoric President Trump used when he stated that there were fine people in this almost exclusively n@tzi protest. That was, remember, to Unite the Right. Maybe the right-wing tolerant charm is that they're willing to go along with these extreme views instead of, i dunno, calling those groups out on being intolerant.

As someone who unironically believes that intolerance is one of the best political sensibilities they've cultivated, having to align with the Party Of Tolerance is a little annoying. But at least this story proves that millions of people from that party finally see things my way.

Really? Must of been a slow news day when a kid taking another kids hat in class makes the news.

1 ReplyIt's a classic case of politics in the classroom. Politics should be kept out of the classroom unless it's a class about politics itself, in which open discussion should be monitored and encouraged. She also went the complete wrong direction with here approach. If you want to appear as a model or example, then I wouldn't recommend rudely and abruptly ripping off someone's hat and slapping a teacher.

1 ReplyBecause clearly a 17 year old high school girl represents an entire political ideology.....
-
Really? Because last time I checked, someone who is 17 is too young to vote in any district...and therefore is too young to have any political party affiliation. This is a case of a school that failed to maintain control of the classroom environment and to create a suitable learning environment by keeping partisan politics out of it.
