It became too weird and complicated and kinda dumb to me after the initial books. Those were good though

Yeah, I started and then stoped reading it when I was at the very edge of growing out of books for very young adults.

Same kinda. I finished the main series though. All the other stuff is just kinda overcomplicated. Also I did grow out of them. Then I got back into tolkien and read the silmarillion
