Making a PB&J
I got into an argument about this and I want to put it to rest. How do you, the people of OffTopic, make your PB&J sandwiches?

1 ReplyEdited by Partisan: 8/21/2018 8:47:21 PMI'm as pretentious of a food snob as they come, but a PB&J is 2 slices of the cheapest white bread from the store, each covered in one spread, sandwiched together, and put in an off-brand "Ziploc" baggie to be consumed cold at lunchtime. Anything else is socialism, and we don't tolerate that here.

Toasted is really good, but nothing beats a good ole' Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich.

Put the jam and peanut butter on the bread, then put the 2 non-slathered sides together.

Since it’s flavor is stronger. That way you balance the flavor profiles. [spoiler]Ive had A PBJ for school lunch everyday for 10 years [/spoiler]

3 RepliesMix the peanut butter and jelly in a bowl and then spread that delicious mixture on both slices of bread. Sounds like more work and dishes, but it’s worth it.

Peanut butter on both slices with the jam/jelly in the middle. The only way to make one.

2 Replies100% whole wheat bread, one side PB and the other side J and a glass of milk. Anything else is terroristic activity like the people that put the milk before the cereal. Animals.

I've always done PB on one slice and Jelly on the other. My dad and brother do PB on both slices first to avoid the soggy. They're wrong because the soggy is the best part!

Brioche toasted on a griddle, Big Spoon peanut butter, Crosse and Blackwell orange blossom honey, and sometimes 9 slices of banana.

PB on both slices, all they way to the crust, smooth on one side, chunky on the other. Then the J gets added, strawberry rhubarb for the win! 16 napkins and 4 wet wipes for the clean up.
