No, it's not because they can stomp below average players all day long because in reality, we all know the player base is more diverse than that. You can be matched with anyone of any skill.
No, it's not because it rewards players with bad connections.
It's because finally, your algorithm that was forcing us into a fake 50% W/L ratio has been incapacitated. No longer do we fear being placed into a match with players far above our skill bracket to force a loss just because we're winning matches. Now if we lose we know it's just luck of the draw.
No longer is your matchmaking system stopping us from enjoying QuickPlay, which has always been meant to be a playlist without fear of sweaty matches every single game.
It feels good. Bury that algorithm Bungie. Never bring it back. Keep SBMM if you must, but that algorithm needs to go. If the rest of your community is finally praising something you did, even by accident, don't be idiots and ruin it. That is all.

Why don't they fix competitive? Why should I lose glory points if I had the most defeats in the game? I truly don't understand. Why should I lose glory points if I had the best efficiency in the game? It says that performance is how you move up but it really isn't. It's really just rng. Just hope that rng places you against people you can actually beat. I'm still going against people 600 points above my glory rank. I thought the update was supposed to fix that? Why not place people against each other based on K/D. No wonder competitive is a ghost town.

67 RepliesThey aren't. It's just you dweebs all came out of the woodwork to be extremely vocal in the hopes that Bungie will keep it long enough so you can up your personal k/d and feel special instead of playing in your own bracket. I've never seen people crow so much over being in Varsity/College/Pro getting to play against Little League. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. Praising lack of a sweat fest when literally 60% of the game is now in a sweat fest so that you can brag like a fool. The truth is that with sbmm you COULD HAVE played as relaxed as you wanted, with the guns that you wanted, and sbmm would have given you games where you and everyone else could have had a good time. You are all arrogant, unsportsmanlike fools who weren't raised properly.
-
No, now I go in knowing that I am not going to enjoy it.
-
lets keep SBMM AND CBMM out of QuickPlay!!
-
And yet you guys are the first to appeal to Bungie that Trials should have SBMM because 'it's not fair that you should have to play against someone better than you'...
-
TOTAL AGREEMENT you tell em man

2 Repliesit’s garbage now. Sweaties get their way again, just like when they wanted more primary fights and slower ability use(“skill” over fun). Bungie caters to these 1% retards, and then wonders how their game became so shitty. Then they backpedal 12 months later. I’m sure it’s great for hypocrites like TrueVanguard. But there’s nothing fun about getting consistently destroyed. The randomness is that only one outta 10 matches wont completely suck. Just another activity bungie sees fit to alienate a bunch of players from. Next time you do a summit, don’t just choose the ass kissing streamer community that uses your game to support their dorito and mt dew habit.

4 RepliesPeople are loving Crucible right now?
-
Edited by KelRiever: 7/31/2018 3:07:14 PMCrucible still sucks sorry. It won’t change either unless you change the core mechanics of the game. Play it to unlock petty shet or ignore it completely.

Nope...

29 RepliesI just played a game where a guy defeated 47 guardians. 47. I don't think I've ever had more than 27. Why should I play that guy? Good for him. Must of been fun. I'll pass on crucible if that's how it is now.

20 RepliesTranslation: I've been winning a lot in blowouts so it is great because of that. All one has to do is look at your game history to see that you're going to be biased as you've rarely lost since they screwed up their system. I'm sure if you were on the losing end in most of those matches that you wouldn't have the same view. Also, do you really find constantly blowing teams out to be enjoyable? It's bloody boring. I haven't taken part in crucible since the 6v6 change so I can only go by what people say and just once I want to see a player who is getting stomped or is bad say they prefer it now than before. It's ALWAYS people who are either now winning 90% of their matches or stat padding against scrubs that are getting orgasmic over how it is now.

Tbh, I won’t be having fun in pvp until we have capture the flag, griffball, infected, big team battle, and vehicle battles.
-
38 RepliesYou do realize that sbmm is the reason for the 50/50 win/loss right? When you play people of equal skill you likely only win about half the time. There’s no nefarious algorithm that makes you lose.
-
I'd rather match by connection
-
2 RepliesThis is the worst state that crucible has ever been.

Is this satire?

1 ReplyI dunno man. I'm on the fence about the current matchmaking. While it can be more fun and more casual....I honestly feel REALLY bad when I'm matched up against a lobby that is 95% low light level blueberrys (literally, like 40-100 Light) and they're all using white and green weapons because that's all they have to use so far.....I feel bad. Even when I use a crappy load-out and mostly mess around it's a total face stomp for them, and that can't be enjoyable on their end. I don't want to scare the would-be novice pvp community away because they get angry so early on in their careers that they never touch the Crucible again after matches with players like me or better. Right now, I think the old system might need to come back. At least for the sake of future would-be pvp'ers. We need more community, not to scare them away immediately.

>diamond ELO >70% WL >"I totally don't enjoy pubstomping guys, trust me"

For me it was boring to fight against a weak team. It's not challenging, it is a waste of time.
-
If the ttk is still "hold ur partners dik in the corner" then the pvp is still in a crapass state filled with filthy casuals and 5 year olds
-
Yet streamers and other elite players still come into QP all the time to smash lower skill players in stream to build viewership.
-
If they do keep this matchmaking I would love to see some vehicle maps to complement it.
-
3 RepliesMany of the best things in the Destiny universe were made by accident. Look at the titan skating, warlock gliding or bones of eao, for example. Destiny 1 itself was, almost all of it, a happy accident that only got worse every time Bungie tried to "fix it". Bungo, listen to your community once in a lifetime and remove from all the damn SBMM!

2 RepliesMatchmaking has been rather odd for me. While I have been averaging a 2.2 KD or better in most of my matches, I get a lot of bad teammates and have only won 8 out of my last 25 games. This is while also getting lots of kills. I’ve never had teammates this bad before.
