The Youtubers cried about it for years. Now bungie has granted them a place where they can pubstomp. Although I appreciate being cannon fodder for their videos and streams, it is already getting old.
I'm fine with keeping the playlist, but please create a playlist for the rest of us. One with control and clash with SBMM would work just fine. You can't have nothing but playlists that cater to the top 5%.

14 RepliesDon't you just think it's beyond comical that people would rather pub stomp than play on equal levels to show off their "skill".

1 ReplyEdited by TheCyo: 7/30/2018 2:48:43 PMI think it is not a smart decision on Bungie's side to optimize the gameplay experience for a minority of players. How much fun do you think a new player currently has in this game. Quickplay he will get slaughtered. Comp he will get slaughtered. Every experience where he needs a premade team is not accessible to him as the requirements for LFG are not meetable even by most seasoned players. I can only recommend everyone not to buy this game in its current state.

8 RepliesHeres the thing.... If the matchmaking criteria was SBMM only, the top 5% would have extremely long queue times and laggy matches, same for the bottom 5% The way it works now is some SBMM and some CBMM, that way we can have nice, mostly lag free matches. Running into top tier players isnt common, there are maybe 1 or 2 per lobby at the most. Running into full stacks of top tier players? Extremely uncommon,

1 Reply90% of streamers, at least the trials streamers, don’t play quick play.
-
1 ReplyWith SBMM it's worse, because it's not working on peer-to-peer. Before i had 15 k/d or 0.1 k/d in a match. Now not any more.

2 RepliesIn all honestly, & I don’t mean this in a rude way so take it so: Destiny 2 pvp was trash in the beginning. Bungie catered to all the casuals with barely any skill & rewarded them for it, while actual skilled players had to deal with that state of the crucible for a very long time. Not me though, I quit in Season 2 & just might be coming back now. 6v6 was meant for QP and 4v4 was meant for Comp. The soon to come Ttk changes will make it even better. Casual players just need to want to improve instead of wanting Bungie to cater towards their lack of skill. & I used to be a casual back when. In D1 my overall kd was a 0.7 back in year1. I didn’t complain cause that’s not how I am, maybe I’m just different then the rest but I decided to put time in & improve. & before you say I barely have any time, I knew an exceptional player that was in middle school, played for only an hour a day or less sometimes. Fast forward to year 2 I get all my character kds to 1.5 / 1.4+. Then fast forward to the START of D2, playing solo I got a 2.5+ kd. Then later I started paying with good teammates & got my Trials kd to a 3.1 & overall to a 2.8. It’s just the simple choice n dedication of wanting to improve, or not

I love it. I’m very average and got paired against a top tier PvP player last night. I got him about as many times as he got me, and it was a fun challenge.
-
Exactly, they always say "I'm tired of using the meta " yet look at them play quick play now, every single one is try Harding with meta set ups. Pathetic
-
10 RepliesCompletely disagree. I love how the Crucible is right now. I get the opportunity to chill out and wreck people or get a learning experience by playing people way above my skill level. This for me is more enjoyable than playing people generally around my skill level the whole time. For me, this makes Crucible less sweaty than it used to be. Sure, one or two players on the enemy team may stomp my shit as soon as they see me, but that’s alright. I can easily compete against the rest of the lobby and challenge myself by fighting the top players. Many times I’m at the top myself. When SBMM was involved, most people would be fairly close in score, with the difference between players not be overly substantial most of the time. As it is now, good players can distinguish themselves more and those who aren’t so good can get a feeling for playing people better than them.

7 RepliesComing from a top tier pvp player
Gid gud crybaby
So people who enjoy crucible enough to improve at it should have a shitty, laggy experience so you guys can continue to have your baby bumpers playground? Bungie is waking up, this shit is over.
-
I doubt Bungo changes anything ’til after Forsaken drops. Better to have content makers chattin’ up “40 Kill Matches” and plannin’ “50 Kill Challenges” than “Will Forsaken Save D2?!!” or The Division 2 and Anthem.
-
You must run into a lot of streamers.
-
So long as the lag is kept down, I don’t mind.
-
I'm kind of a newbie in Destiny 2 and I don't play much PvP, but if comp still has SBMM, what is the problem? Quickplay should be fast, with little waiting time, first and balanced second or am I missing something?
-
2 RepliesPlay comp if you want SBMM. Quick play needs to stay how it is
-
I don’t mind it for quickly, but they have completely ruined competitive with the inconsistency.
-
How often does an average Joe have to play a match with Top 5% players though? You guys make it sound like every game is with one when it's actually just other Joes who are slightly better than the game than you are.
Example: Lobbies Top 70% players vs. Top 50% players.
-
That’s what comp is for. This is the mode for all the people that don’t want SBMM. Why add another mode and ruin matchmaking more
-
Well, if they're going to spend all that time not getting a girlfriend it might as well pay off somehow.

The old system was a lie and made it where sub par players had inflated stats and guys who were 4 deep have a huge advantage. Playing against the field instead of other scrubs has changed things. I'm starting to climb in kd and wins instead of this game pushing me down. The old system was designed to keep everyone at 1.0 and 50% wins. 4stacks and the elites could overcome it. Suddenly 3 and 4 stacks don't have the same power and scrubs have to play good people and look at the results. Playing the field is how it should be. I've had a lot less scrubs in my fireteams that I was supposedly equal to or close to. This is the right system and will be a true reflection of where people are.

I think ‘pub-stomping’ will always be a thing regardless of match making, it has been happening since D1 and always will, it’s how some people enjoy the game (sadly). By for me, quick play at the moment is the best it’s been in the history of this franchise and I would want it even more catered to connections if that was possible. Losing to a good player is less frustrating than losing to a lagging player. But with competitive matching on rank and rumble back permanently then there are avenues for you to not play against far superior teams.

2 RepliesSbmm has no place in this game in general, let alone in quick play. Also no one starts out up at the top it takes more than a bit of effort to get there. Also there are seldom more than 2 “top” players in the same lobby so there is no reason to blame the matchmaking every time you have a tough game.
-
Hold on a second Mr. Snipes. Your stats are better than mine, so if the game was working right before you should be having like a 2.6-2.7 K/D now. Maybe its just the fact that it turned to 6v6 and not the matchmaking.
-
1 ReplyWhen sbmm was in place the everygame is sweaty and no fun. As it is currently with no sbmm games will have mixed skill levels allowing fun plays and also the chance to be schooled once in a while but unless your against a majority fireteam then chances are if you’re even slightly better than average in pvp then you’ll be winning more than you lose as it should be
