Just got kicked from a comp game and guess what happens after?
My team loses glory points
One of us gets suspended so we can’t even play anymore for the day
The enemy team gains glory points
Plus the enemy team gets rewarded for cheating so they are just going to continue doing that
Also they are safe from getting punished for it because we aren’t allowed to say who is cheating so Bungie can’t do a thing about it
If they kids cheat in the first place, they deserve to be name shamed. They chose it.
TLDR;
If you encounter any cheater in Destiny, the game will reward them and punish you.

2 RepliesProblem is, people are super-fast to cry "cheat" without actually being sure. Yeah, lets tar and feather people essentially because a gigantic baby lost in a videogame. -blam!- off.

12 RepliesI was named and shame a few years back in countless youtube videos. People claimed I glitched and teleported into rooms that I wasnt supposed to be in. They were mad if I instantly stood up and chopped their swordbearer. I had to go through a lot to clear my rep and even my father came to my aid bit people named and shamed him. This community is so toxic I now hide in a coffin on the moon to occasionally come out to make more hive babies. You people make me sick.

1 ReplyDon't have to play against cheaters if you don't play Crucible. But seriously, they probably weren't even cheating...the servers (or lack of rather) cause so many issues, even in patrols...or just sitting in orbit.
-
2 RepliesWhy did one of you get suspended? First time is a warning.
-
I get named shamed every single weekend..... It's a hard-knock life huh?
-
This is a 50/50 thing... with no winners except for the cheaters. People are too fast to cry cheating after they lose, or believe they are being cheated in some way when they could just be being out played in the game... I think there should be a team dedicated to reports of cheaters, and if someone is found guilty of cheating, you then should be allowed to name and shame that person.. But thats just my thoughts on it. An innocent person should not be named and shamed.. but cheaters shouldnt just be allowed to get away with cheating..

Bungie responds to cheaters best when it's caught on footage. A serial cheater finally got banned after being featured in multiple videos and Twitch streams by different people. Recording the cheaters in action then tweet Bungie with a link to the video evidence seems to have better results than the in game reporting system.

1 ReplySomeone needs to make a Destiny Name Shame App.

Edited by Demon_XXVII: 7/14/2018 9:34:48 PMBungie doesn't care They just deleted a thread about a website offering paid Trials/account recoveries, and the dangers of handing over account details) And many folk (inc myself) highlighting that the specific website was breaking copyright laws etc & to report it to Bungie/Activision What did the Mods do? ....they ninja'd it, no thanks nor fvck all!

2 RepliesWah cry me a river

No. Idiots are wrong 99% of the time they accuse cheating. It’s called lag on terrible net code. I get kicked from raids back to title screen... is calus cheating? Playing nightfalls enemies teleport and glitch and take ghost bullets. Are pistons cheating? These things happen frequently when I’m playing pvp connected to 3-6 people. Your pvp games connect you to 8-12 people and lag is more noticeable. Also my internet is great and consistent but this week I’ve been kicked totally offline while playing 4-5 times? Cheating? No my provider had some issues.

Edited by MONKEYGOTRABIES: 7/13/2018 11:12:14 PMNo they aren't, Bungie's glacial pace for evaluating reports or their complete disregard of them is. Public naming will lead to a mob mentality. It took them two to three years to permaban Clay is Clutch. One way of looking at that is that only viral name shaming worked, which is probably true. However, it is absoutely disgusting that it took a couple of years of that to get Bungie to act, while hundreds of videos with proof added up. I encountered cheating the first time I played trials, the second week it was available. I was a sunsinger warlock wearing purifiers robes. I got killed and all three enemies swarmed my corpse (It was that fallen cave map with the really tight tunnels off of B). I self resed which should have blinded them, and spun around lobbing sunspot grenades and meleeing all three enemies just feet from me. It killed NO ONE, and I died giving a guy a third or fourth melee while he took NO DAMAGE. I never played trials again. Shame Bungle with stories like this and stop playing their competitive modes. Organize two weeks to not play and let them know about it. If everyone that wants Bungie to aggressively pursue cheaters dropped out, they'll do more. If they don't see a tangible impact on their game's health, they won't.
-
Just another one of the many reasons I haven't played a single game of competitive since Warmind. It's simply not worth it to me.

6 RepliesExcept that shaming invariable leads to witch hunting, and equally invariable is the number of uneducated getting it wrong. Actual cheating is pretty dang rare, and fortunate lag is the one form of witchcraft known to exist. Screenshot and block 'em. Your job's done, Guardian.
-
1 ReplyBro Bungie literally doesnt care if people cheat. There's one guy in particular who has been infamous for cheating since the D1 days. Bungie has never done anything about it. They just dont care.
-
If you could name shame wormhusk tryhards and sweaty Trials players you’d have a forum meltdown. The sooner wormhusk dies the better. The sooner Trials dies the better.
-
If you have proof just post it on reddit or somewhere. It will be seen by a lot more people and it's also out of Bungies scope to remove/ban.
-
Just public shame them anywhere but here. Like reddit as suggested below. It’s a much bigger community than here
-
What do you expect. The only anti cheat/hack/troll system that will keep bullshit like that from happening is permant bans with no exceptions and no negotiations. But as usual it's about that money they ban someone they lose money. Or should I say Activision loses money since Activision is just the money backer for bungie.
-
That Bake N Funk guy. Just trash. Look at the guys stats!!! Scrub!
-
4 RepliesWhat happens if they are innocent? There's a reason they aren't allowing it its a bad idea, think Salem witch trials bad. there needs to be a solution this is not it.
-
Suspension is only 30 min tho so...there's that
-
2 RepliesThe bad guys win more than the good in the world nowadays....get used to it.
-
Post the screenshot/video clip on Reddit Then block the aforementioned cheat (have everyone you know do the same & get them to have their friends do the same) That should take the chest out of rotation Folks on your blocked list are supposed to be diverted from any game you're in Spread the word, using viable evidence, the muppet should find themselves ostracised
-
1 ReplyThe problem with naming and shaming is that it can be used to target innocent people. That's why it's not allowed.
