Calus wants his throne back and we will help him do that.
If you inspect the newest gear lore tabs you'll learn that Calus is picking the best of the best from each planet aka shadows.
He wants to go back and reclaim his throne at his homeworld Torobatl.
He wants hunter/s to commandeer his machines of war. Warships, interceptors etc...
He wants titan/s to train/better the cabal soldiers.
He wants warlock/s to invent technologies and better the medical prowess the Cabal have.
Remember we only killed Ghaul. And some of Calus's shadows killed a number of conspirators who were responsible for the coup that exiled him but:-
[b]Otzot,[/b] [b]Caiatl[/b] and [b]Evocate-General Umun'arath, Primus of All Legions[/b] still remain and my guess we will be the shadows who will take them out.
Torobatl may be a destination in D3.

4 RepliesIf Calus is so strong now why doesn't he do the dirty work himself? Even one of his robots could have tracked down Ghaul in space and destroyed him probably the new raid lair boss too. I think Calus might be dead and his ship is on auto pilot, programmed to seek out life in the universe and test it. He didn't need us to help take back his home, he has thousands of giant robots that could have easily done the job. If Calus is alive he is up to something more than just getting revenge or taking his Empire back.

They should really let us slaughter the non-loyalist cabal like think of a 50 person strike with the titans mowing down hundreds of cabal and the hunters sniping them to hell and the warlocks blowing ships out of the sky with voidwalker and then calus calls out the loyalist cabal and they help us with interceptor attacks and thresher raids

7 RepliesHonestly, I’m all for an alliance with the Cabal. Due to our species surviving under the harshest of conditions, such as killing gods in their own worlds, we would be the perfect choice for Calus to train a new generation of cabal. Think about it. Why make enemies when you can have super powerful friends? In the words of Deadpool, “You don’t make enemies with the biggest guy in prison, you make friends with em” And seeing as Calus doesn’t want to kill us, and wants to make friends with us, I’m all for it. But, like every other petty despot we’ve fought, we need to be wary. Calus is good with deception.

3 RepliesNo shit. But this is something I wont expect to happen ever. Do you realize how bungie writes stories. How probably more than half the playerbase understands the story. I was asking this shit from day 1 base leviathan raid. "I wonder if Calus would ever take back his homeworld". And all the amazing lore and story is tossed in the trash. They killed off the shadows. Most of the player base still thinks Calus is a baddie. Regardless of how cool it would be and what we want. The majority of the playerbase is caught in a circle jerk about the hive and Savathun. Bungie hasn't even discussed a clearly plausible alliance with the Fallen. But you expect them to write a story and make a game,that involves our player character/and guardians. Allying with the exiled Cabal emperor and going off to do shit that doesn't revolve around defending the traveler and last city. Didnt get anything near that in d1 entire development and i dont expect it to happen in a million years. But yeah, Calus' lore has always been the best in this sad game

I would love this: why limit us to our system bungie: take us to different systems, to calus’s home world, to the space in between stars where Eris morn says that aluk gul(giant ax pretender to the throne guy from Ttk) went, take us to the fallen home world, yes I know none of them will be there, but the darkness will be there, take us to the edge of space where calus stared, and it stared back Please Bungie
