Anyone else miss the more realistic graphics of Destiny 1
Destiny 2 graphics just feel more cartoony

2 RepliesHow does bungie go from making the sequel the prequel to Destiny 1?, It's madness it's like they shot themselves in the foot and then went and got a shotgun and shot the exact same spot in their foot. I think this is finally it and it won't recover from this playerwise, it's just going to keep dropping off. I can't say bungie tried because they didn't, and they 100% deserve the shit show they got and continue to get every single bit of it.

Agree. D1 much better. D2 looks like some kids with broken crayons have had a go in a colouring book whilst on a roller coaster.

The visual grit is definitely getting lighter and less serious. I also miss the more realistic atmosphere to a post apocalyptic world. One free of terrible jokes.

9 RepliesWhat are you playing on because the game looks amazing at 4K at 60 frames on the PC. What I miss about Destiny was the fast nature of jug shotgun. Final round snipers. Tracking rockets that fired quickly. It's just beyond strange the peak of our power happened in the house of wolves period years later you actually feel weaker

There are improvements, but like many things in d2 - one step forward, two steps back. I use to like how our ships jumped to NLS in a more serious (?) kind of way. Not sure how to explain it...

Give us D1 on PC ! Make it 60 fps for everyone, cross-platform matchmaking with everyone (PC, Consoles) No more exclusivity, no more boundaries... D2 is a glorified bundle of DLCs that should have been part of D1. We should be talking about Destiny as a game/universe and not about D1, D2, D3.... The franchise died the day it got numbered. Now, Bungie/Activision are just selling a product marketed to infinity with no soul. Money talk, that's all it is.

4 RepliesI think D1 had more of a war torn look to it. Everything looked battle hardened and darker. Like clothe and metal were the key materials in our outfits... D2 on the other hand has more of a brighter and hopeful look. Plastic and leather was the material this time. D1 the characters were a bit squatty looking and not as crisp, D2 made them more lean and cleaner around the edges. I think the graphics are just meant to give off two different times of war? When people say cartoony I think of Borderlands and Fortnite?

Everything is the same, D2 is more detailed. The big change is that they added more color into D2. Made the colors used more vibrant

I do. Though I can't wait to see what 4k definition looks like in D2 when I get my 82" Samsung 4k in two more days.

Yep In D1 you constantly had the feeling that humanity was on the verge of being destroyed. In D2 it‘s just another day of killing the same cabal over and iver who prove no threat at all
