Destiny 1 never was like this. There were some idiots who hated the game for no reason (aka casuals who didn't understand that they play a rpg - fools) and bungie listened to those idiots instead of listening to the hardcore 1000+ hours fans. (They got emblems for 3 years of playing the game with no brake - yeah that's Cool?) Destiny 1 was and is for so many people the best experience in a video game because it involved fun gameplay, fun activities and you could play then with friends. I made over 50 friends or more from destiny 1. I muted over 100 stupid idiots since destiny 2. This says everything.

The release of Trials during House of Wolves was the real reason people started turning on each other. Everything else has just fuelled it. The sooner Trials dies the better.

Ran a heroic strike the other day with a clanmate and a rando. Rando kept dying and made it mostly a 2 man strike. Finally beat it and the rando pops a boon and leaves. Meaning we wasted all that time. Troll.

Public Events are public, since it is not obvious in the name to some here. Those attempting to make it private, or worse, resorting to bullying, should be reported and blocked. There should be a zero tolerance policy for bullying...

It’s Bungies fault. No one else’s. They now dictate how the game is played.

Bungie seems to have no idea what they want this game to really be. They keep reacting to one extreme or the other. Naturally this breeds a lot of dissatisfaction with the game. They then react to this and push the pendulum all the way to the other side. From "forever 29" to everyone at 335 in two weeks to where we are now. People pushing 380 already and others struggling to get past 360. The 380's can't tolerate the 360's in "their" space. The 360's say I'll do what I want. The 360's will get bored and quit. (This change is not going to get those people who fundamentally don't like the raid or trials to start doing them all the time.) The 380's will once again realize how shallow this game truly is and quit. (Sorry but shooting memories and finding non-duplicate music boxes isn't really adding much content.) They'll react again, like their comment in TWAB about needing to "iterate" on strike rewards. Really? Bungie needs to iterate on what is patently obvious to nearly everyone? I really have enjoyed my time with this game. Both on XB and now PC. I'm certainly not going to complain about getting my monies worth out of it. But the venom in this game is starting to take over, and I am most certainly not buying the September expansion until it's out a few weeks and I can read the tea leaves. I think Bungie really needs to consider what Destiny is and re-tool the game. At least then they'll pull in the people who want whatever it becomes and the rest will go somewhere else. Maybe then the level of toxicity will decrease.

Destiny has never been a "friendship game". Its more like a club for asses imo. Everything you see now has always been. Elite ToO and raid players, Youtubers, and streamers are what killed destiny for me long ago. Club of asses. I'm on the forums because this is entertaining shit. Guided games could have should have been epic....Its still in beta.

This game still is a friendship game. It's just most of the people who play them aren't friendly. Still no different from many gaming communities in general; but at least they're trying to move away from all the negativity. When Bungie was apart of Halo they had the same idea. Now look at Halo 5. Mostly played by a bunch of pricks who pull out their phone and show a screenshot of their Onix rank when their asked for their driver's license. You want something else to breath heavy about while your typing? Ask yourself this: Why are you calling Bungie retards when they have the ability to make one game that would wipe its ass with Halo 4's meta and Halo 5's existence?

The "Escalation Protocol" Beta is not going well. Likelihood is it will just end up becoming something we will come back to after the next 2 DLC allow us to level up enough that its possible to 6 man the thing with complete strangers with no communication or coordination. The odds of Bungie trying to find a solution to make entering mars patrol with at least 5-6 people in a fireteam however is possible cause it truly is the only real solution available to solve this problem. Spending an hour or more trying to cheese an instance with the possibility of failure and little reward are too much of a hassle and ends up detrimental to the experience.

I just hope people stop blaming one another for ruining the game and instead recognize that bungie is absolutely incompetent

Escalation doesn’t require anything. The max people that can be in it is 9. No one said you have to have 9 people in one place to do all levels. It’s end game. Get good and increase your light. Level 7 escalation protocol has already been soloed. Literally just stop complaining and actually reach end game
