Edited by Pippo: 5/9/2018 1:34:49 PMCoO set the expectation bar very low. Still, I'm negatively surprised about the content. Just some stuff. 1) Injection Rig event. Again. 2) Hive Wizard ritual. Again. 3) Warsat event from D1, but at least spiced up a little bit. Still too easy on Heroic. 4) When Xol first appeared the Guardian has some sort of blackout. The effect looked nice and I really thought "oh shit", am I going to be weakened for the next mission or something? Will I get dragged down to some badass Hive underground base? But then you just wake up from under the snow and get healed by Ghost and Xol's gone. Meh. 5) hi I'm Ana. I'm just going to be your NPC token vendor from now on but hey at least I got a cinematic where I'm fighting in a cool ice wasteland. Oh you thought you can do that too? Nope, Clovis Bray and some hive caves is all you get. 6) the campaign was too easy 7) adventures are a joke. Super short and easy. 8) one of the first adventures takes you through the same path you took during the story mission just before. But now with Cabal instead of Ice Hive. 9) Ice Hive 10) That Traveler's shard is just in a Lost Sector in the EDZ. Nothing new. 11) still the same predictable missions. Few waves of red-bar enemies, then a few Majors and then either another named Major on an Ultra. Which usually gets obliterated by a super. Or you get the Valkyrie. 11a) oh and when do enemies stop bringing their weaknesses to us? If Nokris can get a shield why do those Knights with the orbs even spawn? They should tell them to hold back so the Guardian has to fight another way. All those enemies who drop stuff to easily help you get over an obstacle are already boring for me. There need to be more creative ways to deal with obstacles. Every time we kill something which drops something to help us. Or on the Almighty, we just simply -blam!-ing take a fusion core to deactivate it. Like, really? 12) speaking of which, the Ogre in the heroic Warsat event can just be spammed with the Valkyrie melee smash, and you can tank through it. While it looks cool and is effective it takes away the difficulty. 13) Escalation Protocol. Haven't seen much of it, but looks like it has potential. Whether or not it can live up to Court of Oryx and Archon's Forge remains to be seen. 13) dang I don't want to wear any of the new armor I saw so far. Maybe the Raid Lair one is awesome. 14) The Zavala/Ana interaction was weird. 15) last but not least... some weapons are more fun now and that's good. Dragonfly finally does something noticeable. And I got a Tractor Cannon catalyst and I'm looking forward to complete it. Overall... gameplay-wise we got an improvement. But CoO isn't really behind in terms of storytelling... The art direction is also different which is nice. Visuals are as good as always. Bungie's environmental artists are superb. Warmind did rekindle D2 a little bit for me. But it's still not enough for long-term. If I don't like the new lair I have to raid Leviathan if I want max lvl. Again, Leviathan... well at least I need to restock on Prestige shaders anyway... huh... great reason.

4 Replies27 in Canada. You guys have it cheap.

I've played 7 hours and haven't finished everything they released with one character. When are people going to realize that this is not a campaign heavy, story driven game?
-
2 RepliesFour story missions, I think. And one strike that wasn't a repurposed story mission (I don't count ones that are, sorry Bungie but I do have to be fair). And a horde mode. And a raid lair on the way. Compare: Dark Below: Three Story Missions. A New Strike. Crota's End (about equivalent to a Raid lair). House of Wolves: Five or Six Story Missions. Horde Mode. Not sure how many new strikes. Skolas Revenge (a special, extra-tough boss fight). Curse of Osiris: Eight or Nine Story Missions. Disregarding repurposed story missions, no new strikes. Raid Lair.

2 RepliesKings fall raid:~ 40 mins to eventually kill a Hive God Warming Dlc: kill a god that the hive worship in less than 5 mins That makes sense
-
30 Replies$20 is literally nothing. Unless that is all your Mom gives you for allowance.
-
32 RepliesAnd new quests, and new adventures, and a new raid lair, and new exotics, and a whole new game environment, and new crucible maps, and....... Shall I continue?

Edited by Havic Mac Roich: 5/9/2018 10:33:44 PMLazy content, with big hype every time, if you get excited for expansions for destiny at this point you are setting yourself up for disappointment. On that note, the boss fight was a joke, I killed a worm god with no tactics and my regular weapons. Yeah, that cool overcharged Valkyrie javelin that I spent a whole mission to create was not even required. That’s how complex a boss fight with a god was, just go shoot em... that is my main gripe. The rest was expected.

And some how some way they are going to soon try to convince us that we should purchase another round of this in the fall. How the hell they going to do that? I bought in on this game because D1 was my game. Played the hell out of it and despite it's flaws enjoyed it so purchased a year of this in spite of all reservations about the weapon change/disaster. Well paid for it and now have basically played what I paid for. After a year of D2 being my new benchmark I don't see spending more money on Bungie.

5 RepliesThe fact that everyone is complaining about only having 3-5(however you want to look at it) story missions, yet the dark below had 3 and the house of wolves had 5. Did you all honestly expect more from Bungie from a $20 DLC? lol
-
A finely polished piece of shit... It looks like a triple A game, but underneath it's just shit. They made some great charcter improvements, but let's be honest. It should have been this way from the start! In D1 the DLC's had much more to do plus they all came with raids (aside from HoW). All they've done is created a very poor extension of D1 (and called it D2) has one raid, one raid lair that is equivalent to a strike and now this... Tera by EnNasse isn't as polished, but it's free and comes with hundreds of quests, side quests and dozens of dungeons.... FOR FREE!!! Are we paying for shiny shit then?
-
Lmao it was a cliffhanger that will never get finished lmao. That was it? It was worse than the curse of Osiris dlc? Lmao
-
3 RepliesNokris is in this dlc who is supposed to be the brother of Crota and Oryxs second born but he’s just a story mission boss like why ain’t he a raid boss?
-
2 Repliesdid we really kill a wormgod?? was that a strike or Just a regular mission? i hope that was not a trike
-
1 ReplyThat's why you can't select campaign missions from the Director: it is too shameful for them lol
-
Content is hard.
-
I'm glad it was short, made me remember how bad destiny 2 really is. I'll have an easy time walking away once again.
-
Lack of content, lack of quality. Par for the course when it comes to Destiny.
-
Well that and everything else
-
I don't know why anyone is surprised it's just like all the reskined guns they have used since D1 25 guns with 300 different perks and colors
-
1 ReplyOk, so where to start. FIRST: It's LITERALLY 5 campaign missions. Did you even play it? SECONDLY: Strikes, Raid, escalation, masterwork exotics, adventures, quests....
-
Literally what game have y'all been playing to expect so much from the dlcs? Took a break during Osiris came back this weekend and actually kinda excited to play again. Not really expecting to play as much as d1, but I'm gonna get shit done. And hopefully we'll get a RoI type update in July

11 RepliesEdited by CGDavis: 5/9/2018 5:08:53 AMBut do you really give a damn? Or are you here to just jump on the complaining bandwagon. That crap gets old. You know dang well the majority of players rush through story so they can get to the real activities. Who cares if it's short?? Quit crying all the time, jeez. There's plenty to do afterward.

im in canada and its 26$ for 1 dlc smfh , like im gonna pay that when the beta is on sale for 12$ lol what a joke lmao

5 RepliesI can't help laughing at how pathetic these -blam!-ing players are. For months it's been "what the -blam!- bungie" and then bungie puts out literally nothing for a 20 dollar dlc and everyones singing their praises, seriously. This is why the species is doomed. Because people are allowing bungie fanatics to breed.
