Truth be told if this wasn’t the case I wouldn’t go out of my way just to buy the dlc. I’m viewing this release cautiously optimistic with a weary eye. As to your edit - you asked a very open ended question so you should have expected and accepted the fact people will have different opinions than you. Whether those opinions are good, bad or indifferent from yours are just as valid.

I'm worried. Without Eris, Ana and Cayde or Zavalla are going to have to carry the whole story. I'm pretty sure it will be Cayde. That's a lot to do. Eris could pull it off because of her story. Ana and Cayde have Bray and Rasputin connections, but no direct connection with the hive. So the story may shape up to be find out about the war mind and stop the hive from breaching. I'm not saying the story will be bad, but there's a lot to cover in what will be five missions and maybe 5 minutes to cut sceens. Bungie needs to Focus on story. Escalation protocol looks good. I'm just worried that like COO and AF, it's going to be dead in two months. Seriously with Court of Orxy, after about two months I think I only ever saw people there about once every other month and never in year 3. It's an issue Bungie needs to address. With POE you could always be match made to play it. So I am excited but worried that the story will fall flat and the new end game activity will be a fad and meet an untimely end before the end of year 1.

Both my brother and I are super excited for it. The new exotic buffs, the campaign, mars, I think it’s gonna be awesome and I can’t wait til Tuesday.

Well not saying I am excited, but I did Schedule a very serious "doctors appointment" for the 9th and 10th of May. I have the 11th off, seeing its Friday. so I have to most likely, you know... to recover, from my traumatic doctors appointment, just take it easy and relax. so I will end up, sitting in an upright position with minimal arm movement, and recovering the muscle memory in my hands. I have to, its therapeutic. and just like a good old fap, if you do it tooooo much, you will go blind.

I've pretty well given up on the idea that it will get better. That said there's fun to be had with actually new content, and not just meaningless loot updates. Got the season pass so it's already a done deal, and I don't have to pay to play anyway like all the console people so it aint as bad. In short, I'm excited to have actually new content. However I'm not expecting it to be of any substance or quality because they cater to fans that ultimately don't care about that.

No other game like destiny still... Eh, I preordered and bought season pass. I dont regret it, but I sure as hell will continue to yell at bungie till they mqke the game how it shoulda been. Why? Because d2 still feels like destiny. A hell of a lot less grindy, fun etc, but it is still destiny....and d1s player base is/was pretty dead till recently.
