I'll hold my opinion I just want to see constructive criticism not "PvpShoULDNtExiSt" or "YoUrJuStTRasH"

Hate - Mind-blam!- manipulations constructed to prop up the newer and lesser skilled. Diabolical MM algorithm. Developer lies. Showboating after crutching off of another player. Throat cramming team concept in lieu of other desirable dimensions. Lag. Folks that want the facade. Hacks (unpunished). Like - The game attemps to meld different metrics which is an interesting concept (but usually fails). Beautiful game. Small details like gun names taken from historical reference is interesting (Lyudmilla, Eternal Blazon, just to name a couple). When unmanipulated and/or lag-free, gunplay can be fun. Teabagging. Trolling and/or making pvp life less bearable for the new target market when at all possible. Bottom line - More flash than cash in a let's hold hands and be friends co-op environment where redistribution of wealth reigns supreme. If not for so much time vested I'd probably bail.

Too much focus on PvP. Classes were over-simplified because of certain set ups. MGs were gutted for the kill streaks people would get on the lessers. Rocket Launchers reduced to one round crap sticks. Grenades and Abilities reduced because people couldn't figure out proper counters or map movements. Snipers, Fusions, and Shotties pinned to POWER weapons because people moaned about not being able to rush someone with no plan and not being able to win. Random rolls takin out purely because of Moaners in Crucible complaining about GodRolls. Almost everything that's been nerfed or gutted in D2 is because of Moaners in Crucible. To top it off....they still didn't do it right. They should've kept it how it was and built on that. Just add SMGs and Grenade Launchers. Change the Supers here and there....or have the ability to switch between the old and revamped supers. I'm done ranting now. Hate this or Like this........whatever.

3 RepliesEdited by QueueCumber: 5/3/2018 4:07:26 AMHate: 1) That only pulse rifles like vigilance wing seem to hit with any regular accuracy. Basically, it seems to be the only weapon class that doesn't spray all over the place or miss with direct crosshair hits (and this is with using two energy weapon counterbalances...). So basically, all PvP is for me is shooting vigilance wing the whole time and occasionally using a super power and/or power weapon... 2) The cheating: Aim bot usage, "super resilience" players, speed hexing players, lag abuse, etc... People flying in the air and hitting every shot is laughable when the crosshairs basically become useless and the game weapon hit box goes soft as well. People with auto rifle hitting every shot as a headshot is also laughable but happens a lot. 3) Veteran players ganging up on random players. 4) Being thrown into matches already in progress where the team I'm put on is being -blam!- by the other team. 5) Not being able to choose what I want to play. I end up leaving a lot of matches before they start to wait for matches I want to play, or leaving matches in progress if it's a -blam!- fest due to the terrible matching algorithm. 6) P2P stinks. If my P2P connection isn't good you can bet I'll leave and wait for a game with a better connection. Like: Not sure TBH. They really need to fix weapons so that another kinetic/energy weapon besides pulse rifle is useful. At this point if they haven't done anything about the cheating, I doubt they care or will. I guess every so often you get a fair match with people who aren't doing anything sketchy and those are fun.

I kinda like it. The shooting feels nice and responsive, the maps are fine, I guess, and the abilities are pretty strong without being unbeatable. Not perfect, mainly because of the mediocre servers and how teamshooty it is, but I generally have a pretty good time.

Edited by Swiftlock: 5/2/2018 5:54:44 AMI don't love it or hate it. I just feel that D2 is balanced WAY too hard around PvP to the point where it negatively affects the rest of the game in a lot of aspects. Spending most of PvE pecking at enemies with just two primary weapons, guns feeling mediocre, exotic armor that doesn't really encourage new ways of approaching the game, supers/abilities being toned town, skill trees being stripped away, unexciting loot thanks to fixed rolls, etc.

2 RepliesPvp is popular in games because it thrives off our competitive nature. Humans are competitive creatures.

Pvp=garbage. One of the only parts I do not like about Destiny besides Raids

Edited by HollowedWayfarer: 5/2/2018 1:34:31 AMIt’s fun, but in a game that is supposed to be about shooting aliens, it shouldn’t take the front seat in almost every f***ing update. We have had enough focus in PvP by the 8th, now we need to focus on PvE.
-
One word, “balance”. The never ending saga of trying to balance all the weapons is because of pvp. It’s watered down the game and ruined the overall experience. I love pvp, I have a 1.62 kd and I frequently play CoD. However, pvp does not belong in this game. Period.
-
Remove PvP. Bungie sacrifices the opportunity to make quality PvE content instead to “improve” upon the dysfunctional PvP trash. Destiny should have never had a PvP component. The series could be so so SO much more without PvP to stunt its success.

I love going for crits. And going for crits on a player controlled combatant is the most challenging and rewarding. Also, I’m enjoying learning to track and time Remote Detonation Grenade Launchers right now. Absolutely the most fun I’ve had in an FPS in a long time. It almost tops Iron Sight Bolt Action Rifles from CoD:WaW. Almost...

PVE is rote. You can learn spawn patterns, routines, etc and once you do there is 0 challenge in it. PVP requires constant tweaking to learn your opponents. I like a challenge, scratch that, i love to be challenged. So even though this pvp is way crappier than D1 I still love the competitive nature of trying to out gun something other than a predictably programmed AI

It's inconsistent. Due to p2p connections I can go into one game and have a good fun fight. My gun damages enemies, kills a few. Everything is good. Suddenly mid game I can't hit a thing. I didn't simply forget how to aim and shoot, but now my gun does nothing. Turns out the host switched. Now I'm canon fodder. I shoot at someone and nothing so I need to spend more time attacking them by which time I'm dead. Then I see damage being done. The next game the opposite. I start off getting hammered. I'm thinking I've joined against a team of sweaties. Put it down to xp but then suddenly I'm able to kill people. The match making is stupid and needs to be consistent, but Bungie have had 4 years to fix this and instead they punish people for having lousy internet. It's their fault, not their customers. That's why I dislike PvP.

1 ReplyWhat bothers me the most are the large number of players who cheat to gain an advantage over the other players. I grow tired of Vigilance wing taking me out from 3/4 of the map away. There is no-way that a pulse rifle can be that accurate from such a distance. The last hope and the travelers judgement are killers when they are being fired as fast as an smg. Hunter grenades a weak and ineffective, except for void wall. What I enjoy is that every encounter is different.
-
1 ReplyThe game communicates poorly, basically. That can range from information like the radar, screen shake/effects, who is on what team, what any one player is going to be doing etc. It just leaves a crap load of guesswork and the game is incredibly frustrating because of it.

The only time I really love Crucible is during Mayhem, and that's just because Mayhem feels exactly like what Destiny PVP should be. There aren't really any other games like it, and there's nothing quite like seeing the pure "mayhem" of supers flying all throughout the match. I know a lot of people hate Mayhem and I can see why, but for me it's the only time I really see other players branch off from each other. I can't really stand team shotting in any game, but that's mostly because I'm the kind of guy who wants to test my skill against another person one on one. There's nothing like seeing a Warlock activate their Dawnblade while I fight them, dodging and strafing to try and whittle down their health in an attempt to kill them. Sure 90% of the time I fail and die, but it makes that 10% worth it. Like just the other day I was playing with some guys and I one on oned a Dawnblade Warlock. He was able to kill me, but not before I whittled down his health enough to kill him with a smoke bomb. The guys I was playing with were pretty impressed. But team shotting doesn't allow for that. And the whole "solution" of "git gud" just doesn't apply. Fighting three guardians simultaneously rarely ends with being able to get a kill in, and I can count the number of times I've successfully fought and won in such encounters on two hands, less if I count the times I DIDN'T run and ambush them. So more often than not I have to stick with my teammates to stand a chance, and that leaves me feeling unfulfilled. Anyone can stand with their teammates and gang up on someone, but when you pit yourself against another, nothing but your own guns and skills to rely on, that's when it all feels fun to me. I will admit to having my moments of salt. I can't stand Supremacy or teammates who don't play the objective (I played a game of Supremacy today and I had captured thirty crests while my most of my teammates barely captured over ten. And that was only because they ran PAST the crests.) I've left games because all I could do was start getting angry. I'm also no where near an amazing PVP player, my KDA being 1.7 last I checked. But I do know where I have my fun. I like being able to fight someone one on one. I enjoy crushing others under my foot because of either superior skill or a superior gun. I love being able to surprise enemies with my Acrius and or to launch them away with the Tractor Cannon. I also enjoy the feeling of being able to get revenge on the player who killed me. And while I find it annoying when such things happen to me, I accept it's part of the game. I just wish there wasn't so much sticking close to the team.

Edited by A Tigerstorm: 5/3/2018 2:12:23 AMI just hate it with a passion. Especially the D1 version. I was always the kind of guy who thought “if i go against the meta, I’ll get more skill”. And that logic eventually worked, but the buildup to it was horrible. I used a auto, sidearm, sword, bubble or Sunbreaker, meanwhile everyone else used meta weapons galore. Last word, thorn, snipers, no land beyond, shotguns, rockets, machine guns, gunslingers, strikers, etc etc. And I’m gonna set the record straight, I hated, HATED, the D1 Weapon system. It just didn’t feel good for me. Every time I played, it would be the same thing. No one wanted to stray away. When D2 rolled around, it felt a little more balanced, until MIDA. Then controllers went flying.

Pve are mad because they feel neglected and don't like when nerfs happen because of pvp PvP is great because otherwise the game would die within the first few weeks once people did all of pve The best way to please the pve crowd is to separate PvP and pve balancing As for neglect that ones on bungie, pve is neglected however that's not due to pvp; but rather bungies laziness, let's not pretend without pvp we'd have any more strikes or raids after all.
-
For me, it’s just like when I spend time with me mum; few minute bursts per week. Being with her longer than that and I start to see why I left home to begin with...
-
I hate supremacy and the fact that I cannot choose what i want to play I hate the nerfs without buffs I hate that we have vigilance wing but uriels and positive outlooks are now useless I hate buffing up a class of weapons or gear nobody gives a hoot about in the name of balance I hate the complete lack of completeness and bugs in the game I hate that there are heavy/power weapons everywhere Bungie truly has no clue how to carry on from D1. They bungled the entire game, micromanaged a game people paid for, expecting fans to be happy. Now we are going back to what D1 was months later. How sad.
-
Unfortunately, I've always liked the Iron Banner stuff and the red Phoenix stuff really grew on me. I absolutely hate D2's PvP though. My preferred weapons and playstyle aren't really that viable anymore since maps are smaller with more cover and high impact Scout Rifles and Pulse Rifles kinda suck compared to the meta weapons everyone I play against likes to use. Some maps like Midtown work, but most seem like they were designed for mid to close range 4v4. 450 rpm ARs are too good compared to the other archetypes and way too easy to use.
-
I prevailed unbroken on my friends count the other day good old sbmm.
-
PVP has a learning curve, lots more practice than PVE where you can pretty much be sucessfull 90 % of the time. PVP is more skill based, and will require more time to get good. So get good and extract some ELO.
-
I think there's a massive gap in difficulty between PvE and PvP. Destiny's PvP, in my opinion, takes a lot of getting used to and can get pretty frustrating at times. However, once you're on a roll it's more satisfying than PvE could ever be. Me, I've got a love/hate relationship with Destiny 2's PvP.

I still can't get over how much slower this game is, in every aspect. Slower movement, ttk, ability recharge, etc.. Such a different pace from D1. I'm still confused as to why they tampered with mobility. Maybe they feared it being too similar to D1, and changed it for the sake of an identity crisis. Maybe they genuinely thought it's what players wanted. I don't know. This isn't stricktly a pvp problem, obviously.
