1 ReplyI was a casual until I played D1, overnight I became a hardcore player, literally. When I wasn't playing Destiny I was thinking about it or researching tactics, weapons, anything and everything Destiny related. Aiming a game at casuals isn't a bad thing. But not having the depth there to turn those casuals into hardcore players is bad.

18 RepliesIMO I don't believe it was even created for casuals. There are too many issues that the company has within itself, cut content, their rebuilt engine, the high turnover, scrapping D2 and starting over and the contract they can't keep up with that they have to keep asking for more time. All of that says otherwise. Bungie literally doesn't have time to create a decent game because they're struggling just to keep up with what they do have. So this means they will cut a hell of a lot of corners and that means removing a hell of a lot of things that use to be in Destiny and slowly add it back when they have time. That alone can take 3 years with they way they have handled this game just to get back what was already in the game. This is why IMO this game was pushed out barebone.

1 ReplyFunny thing: The casuals didn't even stick around.
-
I'm pretty sure that at this point they're just making D2 PvP edition featuring potential E-sports action.
-
2 RepliesDestiny 2 wasn't made for casuals. It was made by casuals. All Bungie's serious talent has clearly moved on and this is the best they can do. If you think D3 is going to be any different, you're dreaming.
-
7 RepliesIt was made for PVP not casuals, that is why it's failed.

Those stinkin casuals never appreciate anything
-
I hope they never make a Destiny again tbh. Completely butchered it, flawlessly. Good job Bungalow.

24 RepliesEdited by Unforgiven: 3/20/2018 5:47:07 PMI am fairly sure that Destiny 1 was also made for casuals and I enjoyed it way more, so this statement is wrong. Not to mention this current raid is much harder than raids in D1. And I didn't play them more than beating them once. Also didn't play as much trials as I played in D1. So in fact maybe this game is way too hardcore for me. At least the harder things in D2 are too hard, and easy stuff is too easy. Wish there was a kind of middle ground.

2 Repliesfrom what I can tell the only market for this game was "People who hated Destiny 1" thats who they made a game for

1 ReplyWell considering they wanted to make it more watchable on streams and were hard over E sports it seems they cratered to another group.. hmm...

2 RepliesEdited by Enochua: 3/20/2018 3:18:09 PMAnd yet all the casuals are gone now. Playing the next big thing. Maybe now that they're gone and not crying for neffs at every corner Bungie is now only getting intelligent constructive criticism. Well for the most part. I still see PVEers blaming PvP for the down fall off the game when clearly it was the casuals who are gone now. All the pvpers are just playing and rolling with the punches. All the hardcore gamers from PvP and PvE are the only ones left. Holding on to hope that we get PvP and PvE separated. It needs to be separated. PvE being D1 loadouts. PvP being D2 blowouts. Separated by a tab in the character screen. Allow guns from both to still be used in both but balanced separately.

hold on boi, ive detected a massive typo in your header. Lemme help with that. Never make a destiny again!!!

1 ReplyCasuals arent playing this game either. So i doubt that the state of D2 is because the game was made for casuals. Consider that , overall, casual players exceed Hardcore ones. So, where are they? Exactly, there arent that many because casuals also dont like D2. A few exceptional people somehow like D2. Maybe casual maybe hardcore. But in the end might as well be considered outlyers. Casual population > Hardcore population. If pretty mucho nobody plays D2, then its valid to consider that the game wasnt in fact tuned in for casuals. It just sucks overall. Btw i am a casual player. I struggled with the raid, my raid team sucks ass. From D1 to D2. Never being to the lighthouse. I had some good matches in pvp sometines bad. D2 sucks for everyone.

1 ReplyOr more to the point, make the game you said you were going to make and what we were all anticipating!!! I hate bullshite !!!
-
They made it for the loud, whiny squeakers. That's why it sucks.
-
3 Repliesbut then how would luke smith's nieces play?
-
1 ReplyActually. it's over the top for casuals. We dont want. 5000 shaders. 700 different materials, armor/weapon/class (mods), different skill trees, and bs weapons. We just want to kill stuff, and have fun. You can kill stuff, but it's not fun doing it anymore.
-
Casual Destiny player here. I can confirm that D2 is not the sequel I wanted.
-
destiny was for casuals since day1

3 Replies"Casual gamer". What exactly does that mean? Because it may have as many meanings as there are those who play games. Here's a list of seven of them: https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Casual%20Gamer You might want to add your own.
