It isn't a mmorpg, it isn't a RPG, it isn't a looter shooter, it isn't a MOBA and it isn't a 3rd person shooter.
Sure it HAS these in the game but the game is sold and marketed as a FIRST PERSON SHOOTER. The reason PVP exists is because that is the foundation of a first person shooter. The reason Bungie is never going to get rid of it because that is the type of game they want to make.
It wouldn't surprise me if Destiny 3 has less RPG mechanics than this game.
