Hello, I bought destiny back in November 14th, i played for 2 weeks before I got access restricted from crucible. I eventually found out that someone in my squad was ddosing to win & get an advantage over players. On November 30th I received a prompt message saying access restricted. I had no knowledge of this individuals actions & for some reason he is able to play crucible & I'm not(since the month of January). Is there any explanation for this ?. Also how long am I going to have this restriction, it is frustrating to know I paid $60 for a game that will ban individuals for having lack of Witt of the actions of others. I would either like to know when this restriction will be lifted or if I can get a refund, because this is practically a scam.

2 RepliesEdited by Rafiki: 2/5/2018 4:51:49 AMDear Guardian, To address your concerns of the restriction, I would like to refer you to a letter a few of the site mentors and myself use to help explain the situation:
In Destiny 2, there are two ways Bungie addresses Users that show misconduct. This is through Account Bans and Restrictions. Account Restrictions are temporary, while Bans are permanent. Bungie does not discuss or dispute either of them. If you're questioning a Account Ban or Restriction, the link below could be the answer as to why you were banned or restricted. Please keep in mind that Poor or Unstable Internet Connection does qualify for a Restriction or even Ban in serious instances. Please note that action will not be taken against an account based off reports alone. Bungie's security response team obtains proof of misdeeds. https://mobile.twitter.com/DeeJ_BNG/status/738841560738070529 All relevant information can be found here: https://www.bungie.net/7_Destiny-Account-Restrictions-and-Banning-Policies/en/Help/Article/11929
Now, to address the rest of your grievance. It is your responsibility to know what you're teammates are doing while they are playing with you especially when it comes to network manipulation. It is something that is very easy to spot and if you had noticed it you should have left. However, due to a lack of diligence, you ended up staying with said individual long enough for the investigation team to gather substantial evidence of your misdeeds. Therefore you received your customary restriction which can last from three weeks to several months. If you wish to receive a refund for your game, you will need to speak with the retailer you purchased it from as Bungie does not directly handle any transactions of their game and or content of the game (meaning Silver Bundles or DLC packs). I hope this is helpful for you!

3 RepliesYou cheated and got caught. This is yet another "poor poor innocent me" forum post from a clear cheat. You and/or your team mates cheated. You continued to play to get the "rewards" of the cheating. So you knowingly cheated and totally deserve a restriction or BAN. Learn from your mistake. A restriction is 2+ weeks. A BAN is no returning to cheat again. Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.

Not a scam. Not at all. YOU benefitted from someone cheating. YOU carried on regardless. Suck it up buttetcup. https://youtu.be/Wz_DNrKVrQ8

On November 30th I received a prompt message saying access restricted
On Dec 5, you was playing Trials, so something doesn't add up if you got the restriction before that date.

46 RepliesI direct you to the Bungie policy on it. Note, they will not discuss it with you. Not what happened, not how long it will last, nothing. You also will not be eligible for a refund because you were punished for cheating or playing with someone who was cheating and not leaving the match and reporting the cheater themselves. Good news though, restrictions are temporary. Be thankful it wasn't a full ban. https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11929
Disputing a Ban or Restriction There are NO options to dispute or overturn account restrictions or bans. Permanent account bans are only implemented with rigorous checking to ensure that the innocent are not punished alongside the guilty. Bungie does not comment on or discuss individual account restriction or bans. Restrictions are temporary, and will not be overturned or undone before they expire. Once an account is banned however, that ban is permanent. Account restrictions and bans are only done in extreme cases; if actions were taken against your account, then it was with reason. Bungie takes actions to preserve the experience of all Destiny players, and does not take account restrictions lightly. Players are responsible for their online account and console hardware, and any actions taken in the world of Destiny, and should be careful of who they allow to access their Destiny account.
