Destiny 1 wasn't the second coming of God.
Can we all stop acting like for SOME REASON the first Destiny was such a god send when all we did on there was bitch and moan. You fanatics only act like it was perfect because that's the only way you can feel good about insulting Bungie about Destiny 2 and refusing to actually say good shit. Oh but it's FINE because -blam!- BEING SENSIBLE! ALL CAPS! DEATH THREATS! TALKS ABOUT HOW THEIR GAME IS DEAD BECAUSE WE WANNA BE WITH THE COOL KIDS! Please stop acting like the first game was so amazing and be -blam!-ing honest unless that's physically impossible for you.

When compared to the gutted-down Destiny 2, Destiny was a god send. We aren't trying to claim it was a god send to gaming in general, so nice try on being a troll but you're just dumb.

I've played more vid games then most families, lol "Real" Destiny brought me back to a console, and leaving behind( til now) my pc. I don't play multiple games anymore( waste of money and time). The fact I still play "real" Destiny is a statement in it's self. The game before Destiny I played for 15 years( technically 18 now) Year 1 WAS the best year in gun games to me( limited gun games from resident evil 1 to present). But I've seen most from buying my 2 kids the halo, doom, cod, battlefield, list is way too long. Imo, we aren't playing Destiny in D2, we are playing a Chinese knockoff that's broken on purpose to drip feed the cash out of our banks. In a year, looks like u D2 fanboys are going to be sold the " real" destiny( gold chump version) again, lol. And u bring this? To the forums, /facepalm

Because it makes no sense as a psuedo-MMO to make a sequel only 4 years after initial release. D2 should have just been an expansion to D1. Not its own game as it splinters the community and if the sequel fails "which so far it has" then the community won't all leave because they can still do relevant content. Now, not so much.

Vanilla wasn’t perfect by no means, but it was a new IP then and forgivable. By HoW it was on point. 3 years of feedback later, they completely fck this up way worse than what D1 vanilla was, which is inexcusable.

Destiny 1 was the most fun I've ever had on the Xbox One. Legit, not a Bungie fanboy. D1 had its problems, but my friends and I had a blast since day one. Been seeking that level of entertainment ever since. (I also only ever used the forums for LFG back then, so maybe thats why? lol)

Nah, no rose tinted glasses in this situation. I played D1 last night on Xbox 360 just for fun and despite the very low resolution/framerate it was still funner than D2. Sorry bruh, sometimes a bad game is just a bad game.

1 ReplyOf course, if you compare D2 to Vanilla Destiny, D2 could be argued as being the better one for many reasons. But we're not comparing D2 to Vanilla D1. We're comparing it to Year 3 Destiny. A game that had more replay value, more content, 3 years of QoL changes, etc. I still play D1 because D2 isn't worth the time for me. I think that's pretty telling.

I didn't start until the dark below add on and yes it had problems at first but by the end it was my favorite game to play. Not a god send but still a great game that kept you enjoying playing and grinding. D2 was a waste of time and money

Destiny 1 was an extremely flawed game even after year 3. This is something I have also though; we think of D1 being amazing because D2 is so bad. That is just crazy.
