It has not been proven that anything can leave the Infinite Forest, and I would not say that Osiris or Sagira were really concerned about them being able to leave.
Sagira says "On the, uh, off chance that one of them escapes"
It's a very slim chance that they might be more real than the usual simulations because they are copies of Cabal who entered the Forest rather than just pure simulated Cabal.
You can't use loot as evidence as that is a game mechanic. Our enemies don't actually carry human equipment around with them on the off chance they encounter a Guardian who will kill them...
As for Aurash, it's likely she would still be as hostile. This is what Xi Ro says about the Helium Drinkers
They are of our species, but they are our enemies. Their knights raid us every day. Helium Drinkers have two legs, two arms, and three eyes, just like us. But they are bright/evil. I want to be a knight and fight them!
They are bright/evil... This sounds like they may have been closer to the Light than those of the Osmium Court. We too appear bright to the Hive and therefore would likely be considered evil. Also don't forget that Taox and the Helium Drinkers sided with the forces of the Traveler to oppose the Hive and the worms. Aurash also believes the Traveler caused the 'Syzygy (god wave)'.

Sagira's new body was created in the Infinite Forest. After she "died", she was brought to the hidden temple on Earth to be resurrected. When she is brought back, her old body, shell and core, is left behind as she inhabits your ghost. Her soul is then taken by Panoptes. When she is brought back at the end of the DLC, she has her body and distinctive shell back. Obviously shells can be replaced, but her core is back too. Replacing something like that would be much more difficult than just swapping out a ghost's shell. In fact, I don't think there has been another instance of a ghost's core being replaced. As far as I can see, the only way for Sagira to have her old body back is if it was created in the Infinite Forest.

Edited by Haffoc: 1/8/2018 5:00:56 PMYou are missing the possibility that the cult of Osiris brought her original shell to Mercury, or that Osiris sent one of his copies to secure it. Ghosts are made of Light, the core and shell are incidental. We don't know how a Ghosts shell relates to what they are, it's likely that they can create shells themselves. They can pass into solid material, so they can dematerialise and materialise their shells on demand, recreating her shell wouldn't be beyond her abilities.

That seems unlikely. We know that Saghira existed before Osiris was exiled, mostly because he's a Guardian. She is real, not a simulation. If you want to say that something happened between Osiris' exile and the start of CoO that replaced her with a simulation, that's a stretch because we don't really know exactly what he's been doing all this time. We don't know. From the fact that her old core is left behind, it seems like either a mistake on Bungie's part, or that her old core was fixed and returned somehow, than that she's actually a simulation that contains Light, the mind of the original Saghira, and the capability of reviving.

Edited by Azure: 1/8/2018 2:09:18 PMUh, no. I'm saying that the body she gained at the end of the expansion must have been obtained by simulating her old one using the Infinite Forest, as her old body was, at the time, all the way back on Earth. At no point did I claim that she herself was a simulation.

I guess I misunderstood. I’ll still say I don’t think it’s unlikely that a Ghost’s core can be repaired to some capacity. I mean, the dozens of dead Ghosts in D1 seem to show that even if a Ghost’s core looks dead, it can be brought back with some effort. After all, they are little machines.
