The best feedback is not to play.

Just stop playing the game. Really, I feel like that is a message that can't be ignored. Don't by the next DLC. Let the game sit in the dust. If they make changes that make you satisfied things are changing then play it again. But they can't ignore people leaving. They just can't. Without a community any development team is powerless.

  • this is what I've been saying since launch. tons of posts don't amount to a hill of beans, the only thing a company recognizes is loss of revenue. if the people were actually fed up as they claim, they should stop playing, not spend with the company at all, not visit this site. that sends the clearest message ever, the only message they will take notice of.

Unfortunately the casual fanbase this game is targeted at enjoy the state of this game. You might think that they dont exist because they dont browse the forums to take the piss out of bungie and they dont bother playing any endgame content because they can get the same rewards from playing 5 crucible matches so they arent on lfg looking for people to raid with. This is the MAJORITY of people playing the game at the moment. People on these forums are mostly players willing to invest more time in video games. Tldr - Casuals actually like d2 because they dont play enough to realise the game is empty and this is the majority of people buying the game

        • Now understand why D2 is what it is. https://www.gamespot.com/videos/the-point-destiny-the-hardcore-gamers-slot-machine/2300-6425852/ https://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/3085/behavioral_game_design.php https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/2itlvw/destiny_addictive_formula_detailed_by_bungie/ Watch the gamespot vid for a condensed version. I’ve also linked the research mentioned in the vid. You can clearly see why today RNG loot boxes are being rammed down our throats. Anyone who defends this practice when targeted at kids not to mention vulnerable adults should think twice imo.

          • This is why you should stop playing, not just D2 either. We as a gaming community need to put a stop to the AAA greed that is poisoning and diluting the market. If you care about games and you want a future worth gaming in, then you really need stop and take a look at what and who we are feeding when we buy into and play these games. Check this out, it's worth the watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrqwHFfu2xE

Longtime bungie fanboi. I was the guy who brought over t.v's and consoles to friends houses so we could system link halo 1 and call of duty together under one roof. Systemlink party link. I was always a hardcore gamer of games worth playing before fads started. I went years avoiding games after halo reach dropped cause halo reach to me was an absolute flop. It was the first game i ever preordered and I was ashamed of myself for buying a crap game before ever experiencing it just cause i was a fanboi. Halo Reach Release date was held off a year so they could take away fan favorite grenades and add absolutely idiotic armor abilities which rarely were ever used by anyone! Whole bunch of halo titles dropped after that which i just sat out and ignored. I channeled my real life car tunning hobby into gaming and became a huge nfs archivist. Playing almost every title they offered over the span of 6 years. Years later d1 came. I ignored it for months, then a friend told me it was a bungie and activision collaboration, knowing that those brands were our niche back in the early 00's. Played the d1 demo and couldn't keep my hands off of it. So naturally, i went all in with the game and made d1 my fallback option for 3 years straight. Then d2's demo... I played it for 4 hours, returned my preorder and bought a google play card. There are tons of free to play games out that offer more options and replayability than d1 or d2. D1 went the right way but had a crap story. Developers need to learn that nerf herders are not useful people. The problem is genuinely that simple. Anyone who asks for content tweaks instead of competitive content to contend with percieved issues has no real opinion on the game. Just an opinion on why they dislike the game. That's their focus. Not to make the game any better, just to have someone acknowledge they had a valid point. Let's make the obvious case. Ability spam in d1 was one of the biggest nerf requests that found its way into d2.. Proof that reducing ability spam was an absolutely idiotic tactic and nerfherders have zero usable input comes in the form of crucible player numbers. Mayhem Crucible is the MOST played d2 content over the last 2 weeks. Well done nerfherders. Ruined a game so you could feel special, now, d1 content is the most played in d2... Pathetic... I'm Taking another hiatus from the bungie brand as it seems i should never had rejoined the brand in the first place. Datto King Gothalion Gigz JMP These people are not content creators. They're leeches. Youtube critics. People who tell you what to do, then when you do it, they play the game less and less. Stop appealing to these feeble minded idiots and start making groundbreaking trend setting games again. I know the request is massive but pride was once an endearing quality in developers. Asking for people to tell you what your game needs to be perfect is either extremely fuqn lazy or a pathetic marketing tool meant to attract socialites unlikely to ignore trends... A.k.a. streamers and the like. TL;DR?: make content to tune content. Nerfing and buffing code is lazy and unacceptable.

                        • I've given up on Destiny for the foreseeable future. I can't and won't tell people how to spend their time or money. But I just wanted to give my two cents. Bungie have grossly underperformed with D2 (not just including Eververse) and the WHOLE community NEEDS to understand that getting D2 to a state where it has ALL the requested features of Y3 D1 does NOT really represent progress. They will promote it as that, but it's just another jedi mind trick lol! D2 will not live up to its name UNTIL it builds off the existing material from y3 D1, from big to small things (e.g. incredible boss battles, building on implementation of vehicles - incl air combat, new modes, MORE powers, new enemies in existing factions, MORE customisation options, more meaningful opportunities to access lore etc) tbh there's so many ways they could've knocked it out of the park As a community of gamers, you SHOULD make Bungie accountable and keep your standards high, good enough should NEVER be good enough. All game developers must strive for excellence. Those of you that stick around I hope D2 delivers.

                              • Your right and we should all do this, only thing is that ignoring and leaving won't make them fix it that's not how companies work, they will just drop the IP, we waste our money and destiny will be dead, they don't adapt to us because it won't make them money "in their eyes" to them it means the product didn't sell or play therefore it's bad and everything stops

                                    • Between D1 and D2, I have well around 3,000+ hours spent. Doubt I will return even if EverPurse is removed. They still recycle too much. Very little innovation is noticed in this game from it's predecessor. I would like to see new enemies, new mechanics, better rewards and fun ways to earn them. Crucible needs tuned, shaders need fixed, vault space and inventory need reworked. I am blown away by how this game just didn't improve over the first.
