Martin O’Donnel can tell a story better with music than bungie can with a team of thousands! In fact that’s probably part of D2 lacking so much in atmosphere and immersion, simply because of the musics execution. The music is still really good, don’t get me wrong, but it often feels a disconnect from the story flow. It hasn’t got that consistent narrative quality like Marty was master of.

Bungie canned both of them, and you can clearly see how the franchise suffered because of that.
