P. Lens OP ? really ?
How is P/Lens so OP it gets Nerfed ....but the one hit wonder sword carriers that go around one shotting everyone isnt OP? one guy going around with a sword one shotting everyone is far more OP then a team all full of P.Lens

PL was stronger than most power weapons including swords. the fact you even think swords are overpowered shows you're bad at crucible. it takes more effort to get multi-kills with a sword than it does with a PL. it made any gun that wasn't the same weapon useless against it. it required no effort to use. it's like having infinite machine gun ammo in D1.

let me better explain ....all i did was pop a 2 liner with no real meat behind it, its mostly a tongue in cheek post. Prometheus Lens is for sure way OP for PVP. But thats Bungies falicy of thinking they can balance PVP and PVE together....No game that i know of has been able to do it , every game that i know of has tried and ended up wrecking PVE in order to balance PVP. That being said the tongue and cheek part was saying whats wrong with Prometheus one shotting when people do it in every PVP with swords? in my own opinion i dont think Power weapons should be able to one shot kill anyone, i think they should be able to do a crap load more damage then a normal or energy weapon, but not a one shot kill , your putting a power weapon on the level of what a special ability should be. Your special ability should be your God power when its available to one shot someone, having a sword hitting the power button and being able to run around for a min or two one shotting people shouldnt happen. sure ill get the get better Noob responds ....but thats not what im talking about ..your special ability s should be your god weapon ...not the power weapons...we need to be able to feel special with our powers but its not its lack luster at best. We get a weapon that makes PVErs feel special and have fun with that actually helps alittle bit on the more challenging content .....................but then nerf it to the ground all for PVP. Why not Balance PVP completely outside the realm of PVE , or disallow weapons, or but a PVP modifier on them during PVP so that it doesnt effect PVE at all? Ive played alot of MMOS that have PVP events within them like this one does and all the ones ive known that have tried balancing PVP and PVE together destroyed classes and wreaked PVE content.....made people stop playing classes because they nerfed them to the ground making them garbage in PVE just cause they were OP in PVP.

1 ReplySwords are Power Weapons that require you to seek out ammo before you can use them, and thus, are a limited-use weapon, whereas Prometheus Lens is an energy weapon that spawns with ammo. And yes, as fun as it was to use, the damn thing was broken. Even Bungie admitted they realized it was bugged, and are working on a fix for it. Unfortunately, recently, they put out a tweet stating that they couldn't fix it in the small window of time they had, so they're nerfing it--practically, into the ground--until January when they can properly fix it. Please don't try and compare a Power Weapon, which is supposed to kill in 1-2 hits, to a weapon that was unintentionally powerful due to a bug. It's a stupid argument to make.
