True.. character customization is at the top of the list for players in mmos. you cant get the baddass ships emotes sparrows shaders armour sets or ornaments from events or activities. This was only true in destiny 1 for emotes. Raids and endgame activities used to be the place to go for the most badass gear. Tess is the new place to get them. Spend game. Its fuxking bullshit. Remember when we would get events and had the option to buy packages to get some Cosmetic only gear. Like the blue skull mask and the taken armour set. You could still grind for the same gear. Now you cannot. That is the design for destiny 2. Everything from tess is gonna be more appealing than grinding in-game activities.

2 RepliesDestiny 2 was designed from the ground up to recondition us guardians to get our high from engrams and cosmetic items in order to get us addicted to the eververse like we were hooked on Destiny 1. If you remember all the best moments in destiny 1 most of them had a similar pattern, you completed content and the item would drop on the screen, creating a moment you will never forget. As long as this existed the eververse would never be successful because it could not give you the same feeling. So now everytime we complete content we get an engram or tokens. Which means you have to travel back to the tower and hand in engram, just like the lootboxes 50 feet away. They removed all desirable guns/armor because they want the grind in this game to be about cosmetics. Prestige raid has no Prestige guns, trials has no adept weapons, what is it that you get for completing hardest content = cosmetics, best cosmetics in destiny 2 = eververse. Bungie purposely nerfed the entire experience to push us to the eververse for that high. That sad Bungie, you were supposed to be the one

I personally don't think it is. I can't be arsed to give a damn about bright engrams when you get everything you actually want within a week. Frankly the game is too generous with loot in general imo. If you actually play the game, clear raids ex you get everything you could ever want stupidly fast.

Sad but true. I blame Activision and Bungie. Destiny 2 shouldn’t have been made. Just remaster D1 for the current gen and keep doing expansion packs.

No impact on gameplay or in game tangible power. Which is good for eververse, not so much for the rest of the games loot and items.

6 RepliesIn D1 endgame meant: -collecting all the dead ghosts and maxing out grimoire -raiding to get a full set of raid gear (armor, ghost, sparrow, ornaments) -god roll weapons (weapons weren’t static rolls as they are now) -Attaining every exotic in the game -full trials gear -full IB gear Most things in D1 gave you different rolls, so you can grind the game for the perfect armor combo. D2 just doesnt have that. In D2 endgame is: -with the addition of CoO, grinding all 11 weapons and the final exotic quest Besides that, there is no other endgame. Nobody wants to do the raid because you dont feel good about killing a boss and getting tokens, and then getting a lower light level weapon/armor piece from Banshee. As well as having to be near perfect (mechanic wise) in the raid in order to complete it (you die you cant complete it). In D1, you died in a heroic raid and the rest of the team has to clutch up and get ‘er done. So when you earned that gear with two dead you can screech into your mike like a pterodactyl with joy. That doesnt happen in D2. Nobody wants to do the raid because of lackluster rewards so if nobody wants to do it, its not endgame.

So much that it's just brainless at how there isn't a stack removal button, or even why nobody seems to talk about how inconvenient it is to dismantle a stack of 80 teals one at a time, 5 seconds per dismantle! -Buying the bright engrams for the mods, is just -blam!-. It's like spending real money for ammo in World of Tanks, and the ammo wasn't even great. -All other rewards are insignificant. AND It's true. +Won't stop suckers from sending that cash for next to nothing! lol +If you want any of the seasonal stuff but have next to no time left in the season, then you better start grinding or gambling with your cash!
