It has high range, virtually no damage falloff, a damage over time burn effect, and it has the lowest time to kill in the game by about half right now. It's 100% broken. Even more then the vex mythoclast was pre nerf in destiny 1. Did they even playtest this? Its like having constant heavy ammo.
Update: Deej tweeted out that the gun shipped with a bug and will be fixed. All of you defending it or downplaying its power are unsurprisingly wrong.
Update 2: Xur is selling it. Guns still broken and needs to be fixed but at least now PVP will be an even playing field until they do.

Dear god the level of ignorance here. The gun kills in under 0.4 seconds, the closest thing in the game to that is the last hopes 0.7 seconds, and the last hope is only useful at about 15 feet. This gun can cross map and beat out scout rifles and maintain the 0.4 second time to kill. There is no defense against this gun in PVP, it isn't a debate, that's just a fact. It is, without a doubt, broken.

Shut up. People like you left D2 as a pea shooter. BUFF EVERYTHING ELSE
-
My cynical side think, maybe they put it in so they had a reason to cancel trial for a few weeks

11 Replies"our guardians can't kill anyone without teamshooting in pvp....this gun is to op it can actually kill people..." scrubs can never figure out which way to complain, everything is too op when they get killed or everything is to weak when they can't get kills...
-
Sadly I can’t support this until Bungie decides to separate PVE stats from PVP, whenever they nerf a weapon in PVP us PVE ppl suffer from it -_-
-
Yeah, this game sucks.
-
It is intended to create hype and hopes such hype would draw in more players. Most likely would not be nerfed until next DLC. It is all good from Bungie's tactical scheme book.
-
More importantly, is it fun in pve?
-
6 RepliesI smell a cry for nerf coming. Sadly we don't need ANY NERFS but that's how it always goes in Destiny. Once it gets nerfed people will be pissed it was nerfed. I don't understand....
-
Please don’t do this. Don’t ruin another good gun
-
4 RepliesAgain, just buff the other stuff. We don't need nerfs. Undo the last hope nerf too.
-
This is Bungie lowering the TTK incrementally through powerful weapons, I hope.
-
1 ReplyD2 is watered down garbage because of PvP to begin with. All the uproar, stems off things they changed because of PvP. Keep going the way you are bungie. It's working wonders....

Is it bad that I am having fun shitting on people? Lol

4 RepliesEarly D1 players should remember the vex mythoclast...insanely OP...then it was nerfed and became useless in pvp AND Pve...if bungie decides to nerf it PVE will suffer...
-
Looking at all these Care Bears that don’t understand balance is so depressing. I actually hope Bungie leave it as is now. And when they start to realize that no raiders want them, or they can’t complete any prestige activities without this. Maybe they will wise up a little.
-
Go nerf yourself.
-
Just play the game, eventually you'll get one and be the one that is running around taking people down with it
-
2 RepliesEdited by SquidGuy: 12/6/2017 10:16:53 AMNot nearly as OP as shoulder charge was before the update. Thankfully, they fixed that.
-
I haven't got my hand on it yet but the footage looks outstanding. It actually seems like a powerful exotic which is great. However, I can see it becoming an issue when the trials crowd decides to start running this weapon exclusively. I see a nerf on the horizon, possibly right after the inevitable outcry that will come from trials players after this weekend and then next for sure. Have fun with it while you can!
-
1 ReplyNo no no, no more nerfs, just buff all other weapons
-
2 RepliesWould there be damage falloff? It's logic, for a laser, every part of it is the same (EXACT) as the very start and end just being constant so ofc there's gonna be no damage falloff
-
Cry baby, until you get one lol

So delicious. Perhaps get good bro?
-
Ssshhhh not so fast at least let me get it first so I can enjoy pvp for a day or so before it gets nerfed!
-
4 RepliesAnyone arguing with this guy obviously hasn't encountered this weapon in crucible. "PvP crybabies" or whatever aside this weapon obviously wasn't tested at all in crucible. There is no gun that stands a change against it. It's not just powerful it's completely broken and can turn any casual into a pvp god. I've been fine with being melted by last hope constantly in 0.7 seconds but this is a whole different form of cancer.
-
Lol I'm enjoying melting people.
