It has high range, virtually no damage falloff, a damage over time burn effect, and it has the lowest time to kill in the game by about half right now. It's 100% broken. Even more then the vex mythoclast was pre nerf in destiny 1. Did they even playtest this? Its like having constant heavy ammo.
Update: Deej tweeted out that the gun shipped with a bug and will be fixed. All of you defending it or downplaying its power are unsurprisingly wrong.
Update 2: Xur is selling it. Guns still broken and needs to be fixed but at least now PVP will be an even playing field until they do.

Dear god the level of ignorance here. The gun kills in under 0.4 seconds, the closest thing in the game to that is the last hopes 0.7 seconds, and the last hope is only useful at about 15 feet. This gun can cross map and beat out scout rifles and maintain the 0.4 second time to kill. There is no defense against this gun in PVP, it isn't a debate, that's just a fact. It is, without a doubt, broken.

Just got it. You sure are a jelly bunch I will have fun pwnin you noobs in crucible. :)
-
2 RepliesIt definitely doesn't kill as fast as you claim. It's just easier to hit targets with a beam.
-
It's broken. It's bugged. The developers of the game BUNGIE literally said the gun is not suppose to work like that. I would recommend to just not play Crucible if you have issues with it until the patch comes out to fix it. Hopefully soon because I actually enjoy pvp.
-
1 ReplySeriously... Sad Excuse. Who's been testing the game before the DLC? It's like they don't even play the game.
-
6 RepliesI'll just put this here.
-
9 RepliesThis is why we can’t have nice things. Thanks for taking everyone’s toys away. I can’t stand this community.
-
1 ReplySTOP. Stop it. The gun is actually fun to use. It feels like it should. Or, keep it the same in pve, but change in pvp.
-
Totally unfair weapon for PVP Crucible is dead until bungie fix it
-
1 Replyif its "OP" for pvp, then nerf it for pvp only please. it literally cannot be that hard for bungie to adjust pvp damage...
-
4 RepliesI was lucky enough to get this gun and As a solo player in crucible and there being no proper matchmaking and always having to play against 3-4 stack teams. i just wanna say suck it suckers. feels good to make the premade babies lose for once.
-
Anyone who believes the gun is bugged must own some oceanfront property in Kansas.
-
I have an odd feeling of deja vu.... *cough D1 anyone? *cough

Edited by Enzyph: 12/7/2017 2:39:28 AMBungie you made us hate destiny 2 ... Thanks for this weapon and your broken new things.. i hate this game now , wasted moneyy...

Do you know why strong weapons in destiny games stand out? It is because alot of weapons really suck and dont feel powerful. That being said, been saying this for years and tons of other games do this: separate pve and pvp sandbox all together. I do not understand why bungie doesnt do this.....its rather mind blowing. FFXIV does this in an extreme way where it has completely different set of abilities all together. All the abilities act quite different than when in pve. Making pvp only weapon balances and even adding abilities will not only make it easier to balance the game, but also enhance the player experience each for pvp and pve. Pve will be able to see ridiculously fun and powerful weapons without worrying about nerfs, and pvp players will have the ability to really customize their loadouts. Many people have said this, and many multiplayer games do this. I just want to know sincerely why bungie does not do this. Are you just incapable of doing it? Or do you not agree with player feedback or taking ideas from other games due to pride? I am not mocking you guys as a company at all, I genuinely want to know why this os the case. If you are honest/transparent about this, I would actually understand and even be inclined to just overlook it. The lack of communication is pretty pretty disturbing in this game. I have to admit, I didn’t appreciate the “blue posts” until I started playing your game...

3 RepliesIf I was a cynic, I'd probably say that Bungie have stuck a vastly OP weapon in the mix so that those who haven't bought the DLC will no longer to be able to compete so they will be forced to either buy it or give up on the Crucible.
-
I like some people's logic while defending this gun. Prenerf Vex Mythoclast was more powerful than this and that means this is balanced. It's fun so it doesn't need a nerf. Everybody can get one, so just flood PvP with them. If everybody has one, it is no longer overpowered. Just buff everything else to its level. Boom. Problem solved. I killed it once after dying fifty times by it. That means it has a way to counter it and is not broken. I then died fifty more times by it. I would've expected nothing less from you guys... xD
Yeah, I'm fighting for it to be nerfed. Feels good to be on the other side. Now I can see why you guys chose to ruin Destiny 1. It's fun.
3 RepliesOh no.....not another pvp complaint.... oh what ever should we do....? Knowing how bungie caters to the pvp crowd I'm sure this is top priority and will be nerfed to nothing which will make it totally useless in pve, unless it already is....oh well.
-
1 ReplyShut up dude, who cares
-
1 ReplyMad cuz bad
-
Alright! Finally a broken weapon! Now, instead of nerfing this gun, let’s just add some more overpowered weapons into the mix. Btw: I don’t ha e the gun...yet
-
Someone call the waaaambulance!
-
PLEASE NO NErf
-
Shipped? So when the the lawnmower man start working at bungie?
-
Mythoclast pre nerf was better
-
Sweet. I hope I get one after work. I mean can’t we have something op for at least a few weeks? That’s the problem with d2, everything is bland as -blam!- and boring.
-
If more weapons were on this level I might actually buy the DLC lmao.
