Removing content with the DLC
I can no longer play the prestige nightfall or raid unless I buy the DLC, good job black mailing people into buying the DLC. I was considering buying the DLC but as you have removed content that I have paid for from the standard game I won't be buying it neither will my friends who play with me. The DLC should not change the base game I paid for. The only thing that kept me playing was the prestige nightfall and raid now that has been removed I’m going to quit playing Destiny 2 some of my friends I play with are going to quit also.

I wasn’t aware of this but I’m glad I know now. What a completely dick move on Bungie’s part. They really screwed up on this game. I’m not even mad, I’m just super disappointed. I just wanted more of Destiny 1 and all we got was...this.

So let me get this straight they have had a huge backlash from fans and then they try and rectify this by locking out content that was already there in the base game. So Instead of pulling your game out of the toilet you have just hit "flush". . And for the people defending Bungie... you are the reason games are getting gradually worse not better. Enjoy your future games when they are all completely locked behind paywalls and micro-transactions.

I've bought the season pass but I completely agree with you. Nightfalls are part of the game regardless whether you purchased the dlc or not. Bullshit move that one.

Edited by PhraustStryke: 12/6/2017 6:26:15 PMI really hope this gets into the limelight this time around. Back in D1 in the House of Wolves dlc Bungie introduced the Trials of Osiris. It was received overall well by the community. Then in the very next update The Taken King they took it, along with other aspects of the game, and locked it behind the TTK paywall. Oh did people post about it too, the problem was that it was never covered in any news or information outlet. Bungie kept on going like nothing happened because hell, nothing did. The consumer literally paid the price for greed and now in D2, they did it again. Only difference between then and now is that there is hopefully enough people to expose this, and get the media interested to say something about it. If the Destiny community ever needed a helping hand now is the time to reach down and pull us up. First time around console players were ignored completely, I guess we were not load enough, with PC players now hopefully we can be heard.

Bungie has always done this. I don't really understand how it's legal, probably something we agreed to in the terms of service or something. But, predatory practices like that shouldn't be legal, whether it's in the TOS or not. It's never been an issue for me, because I've always bought the DLC. But it's absolutely shady, and probably something the government should look into while they're looking into loot boxes.

Those game modes are meant to drop end game gear to get players to the level cap, which was raised with the dlc. If you didn’t buy the dlc, why should you get access to those modes?

I'm sorry but this is just robbery. If you have paid for something, AND HAVE IT, then several months later the company comes to your house and takes it, I guarantee that you will call the police, because that is stealing. How is this any different?

Oh, you didn't play Destiny 1, did you? Yeah, that's one of Bungie's more devious machinations. "Pay more for the DLC, or we'll take away content that we previously let you play, with your original purchase." It's in their User Agreement, though. You're basically just paying for the ability to log in. Any and all content is subject to change, or removal. But, when people hurriedly hit "A", to get past that screen, so they can just hurry up, and get to playing, they don't see that; not that many would even fully understand what that statement means exactly, even if they did read it. Technically, they could block people out of all activities, as long as they allow them to log in, and it wouldn't go against what you agreed to, when you said, "Yes, I agree.", by clicking the "A" button, to get past that screen. Kinda sh!tty in my opinion, but there's not a whole lot we can do about it.

Ok- this is the first solidly legit complaint I've seen on these forums in a long while. That is some straight up bullshit, Bungie. You don't punish consumers by literally taking away base game content from them if they don't keep giving you money. What sort of petty nonsense is this?

This just proves how bad things have become. That Bungie will actually remove content from customers. So glad I didnt buy pass/DLC. Time to move on from Destiny.

Technically they didn't remove content, but simply moved content. Is this a shitty thing to do, yes. Did you agree to it, yes. Should we just role over and accept this, that's up to you to decide. I also think it's against sony and microsoft policy .Dlc should add to the game not take away from people that didn't buy it . So the 60 you spent is gone to shit now. I guess when I refunded my season pass Bungie were like 'FU' and refunded my raid and prestige NF! I didn't know till reading this of course because I've not logged into that bag of dicks game for a couple weeks.
