Sli performance and Crossfire performance has been bad for a while now. I stopped doing Sli about 5 years ago because games didn't even have it setup upon release. I got tired of waiting for a game to get Sli, so I just started buying the best card i could. 4k gaming, while it looks great, is just not ready in my opinion. I'm sticking with 1080p until 4k can do 144hz. I have a 1080ti, which is overkill for 1080p, but guess what? it's flawless. Together with G-Sync. I'll take 144fps over struggling to maintain 60 any day too.

I agree that SLI demands some patience and efforts but this game is advertised as being SLI compatible since release... Nvidia even did a special article on it. But it's clearly false advertising, at least in my case. In contrast, other games have incredible SLI scaling but never mention it.

  • Yeah, I'm with you. My statement was just in general, but even so, you have 2 1080ti's and to me you are just wasting them with 4k. You are just trying to push 60 frames, which is fine, but anyone who games at 120+ will take the fps over 4k struggling to do 60 any day. I would go get a 1440p monitor, or just wait until 4k 144hz monitors come out. I believe the Nvidia 12 hundred series is when 4k gaming is going to take off. You are an early adopter right now, so you are suffering from that. I'm waiting for the 4k 144hz monitors, and the 12 or 13 hundred series video cards before wasting my time with 4k. Sometimes you have to learn when to jump into something, and when to wait. The monitors now don't even have HDR, and even if they did, the PC games for the most part can't take advantage of it. In a few years they will release real 4k with HDR monitors running at 144hz, and the 4k monitor you have now will just be junk.

Not, it's because I have a 5K screen. So running games at 4K is the minimum for me. I tried 144 fps and i don't find it desirable enough to sacrifice resolution and details. And I don't aim at 60 fps with 2 1080 Ti. I aim at around 100. Which should be attainable as I can get 60 with just one. 😊

Nope, read my other replies. They fixed it ;) And i can "have a blast" like you when I want, if I wanted to. I just have to switch to super low resolution, and I get much more than 144 fps, but it's useless, especially in this game xD But I want to enjoy the work of the designers and artists of Bungie to its fullest. They built a world I like, and they did it with care... Blasting through it at 144 fps and missing all the details and references they inserted would be disrespectful.
